Have you tried the strategy where you walk in and you point to a thing you dont want .... e.g. a jersey that is 2 jersey's away from the one you want. When they tell you that is original but the ones next to it is a copy, maybe then you can get it for a cheaper price ?

T-shirts usually shouldn't be more than 200, for example the Harley Davidson one in the video would typically be 150-200 for good quality. Fake shoes should be about 600-700, but most shoe sellers don't like negotiating. Just go to Thai markets where the price is advertised, you will pay much less than in this video and won't have to negotiate. If more than 10% of the people at the market are white tourists, you're about to overpay by at least 100%.

I love ( borderline obsessed) with these videos, love the bargaining and interactions. But I can’t help but feel sorry for some of the merchants. You know most are living below the poverty line. We tend to bargain and haggle with the poorest people and the world yet pay full price for expensive items in shops around Europe and the US. 50 Baht impacts their life far more than your own 🤷🏻♂️ But again, love the content and I can tell you’re a genuine dude!
Look at the prices they charge him though. You’re not being petty by whittling the price down closer to an actual fair price. Often times they’re quoting prices 20x their cost to foreigners, which means when you get 80% off they’re still making 4x on the item, lol. Don’t feel too bad, these shop owners are for the most part doing well for themselves, particularly being a business owner in a touristy area in an otherwise low COL region.
Can you bargain with major companies and see what happens ?why can't people just buy the price that's given. It's already cheap. They need to make a living too
You should do a thing where you fly a subscriber to you or meet in a different country(they bring their own money obviously) but then show them the ropes and how to bargain and the things you do on a daily basis. This seems fun to me, going out to market and finding fake designer and other shit for cheap. And just being in a different country in general Seems fun
He overpays on almost everything in this video, but at the same time it's a touristy market so the rent for the vendors is probably quite expensive. The best fake market in Thailand is on the Cambodian border, you can get everything he bought here for at least half the price. I'm bad at negotiating but I've lived here long enough to know all the prices, if in doubt just check it on Shopee and add 10-20% (Shopee is ridiculously cheap).

as a southeast asian myself, most of these stall owners don't seem to be Thai at all. they look indian or middle eastern??
They are from south east. They are from my country. They are burmese people. Most who works im phuket are from birma.
