Definitely interested in the mavic connector!! Buying a One R in the next couple of weeks, and a mavic pro is next on my list!! Would definitely love to see how they work together!!
Definitely do the 360 Mavic video! I'm actually amazed that drones have not adopted 360 natively on board already. It's a win win in multiple ways. Obstacle avoidance input in every direction and the ability to choose the best video angle after the fact!
Sounds like the firmware update shows the company is listening to its users - far more than some other manufacturers. I think a Mavic modification video would be worth doing - I think it opens up another realm for "non-professional" drone usage, having this capability. A small company with a part 107 license would not necessarily need to go out an put thousands of dollars out on an expensive drone if they want to get some creative 360 shots - I'm thinking something along the lines of realtors, engineers, contractors, utility companies,??????? It gives them another tool to use. But I can see a lot of recreational uses as well. I think the saying "if you build it, they will come" holds true for this as well :)
Yes make a video about the 1R drone mount, looks intriguing! Great video Russ! Looks like the firmware updates were well-needed and definitely help. Also, want to see comparison video when you get the GoPro 9. Thank you!
I just purchased the Mavic 2 Mod a few days ago. I am itching to see what your thoughts are and give me and others a good look at setup and operation with it.
Yes I really wanna see the Mavic Mod. I know everyone always talks about it interfering with satellites. But i might be willing to deal with that if you think it’s worth it.
Definately wanna see the mavic pro mod, just bought a 360 one r, because its a 4k cam and a 360 cam for almost half the price of a hero 9. 1st action type cam i have bought, mainly because gopro fan boys are quite detestable and i never wanted to go there! Keep up the great work with your vids..........
Oh yes, Russ, please do the video with the Insta360 One R mounted on the Mavic 2 Pro. I do all of my photo and video work on my Mavic 2 Pro, but I’ve just started learning to fly FPV (I know, the “dark side”) and I would love to see how it does with this Cam. I’m also building an FPV frame which is designed to work with the Insta360 One R such that the footage is free of any view of the drone itself. It’s a very slammed frame ( squished top to bottom) and works with only limited sets of lipos because of the need to keep the total thickness down. Anyway, hearing your thoughts and your assessment of the gizmo to connect this cam to the Mavic, as well as seeing the video will help me make an informed choice about whether or not to include this capability on my photo/video rig. And, as always, thank you for an excellent video and look forward to lots more.
Yup, definitely want to see the video with the Mavic 2 Pro. I have one of those and tried the Insta360 ONE X and had issues with the Drone not wanting to go more than a few meters up... It had a very low ceiling and don't know what it was. I would remove the camera and no problem so before buying the One R with the mount I want to see how it works! Thanks and please keep up the great videos!
Great video...I cannot wait for the video comparing the Insta 360 One R to the new Gopro 9 ...... Then i will decide which one to buy ..... Gopro 9 or the Insta360 One R....
The video is freezing from 1:27-1:33, but the audio continue unaffected. Strange. Maybe it's just RUclips. Yes, I'd like to see the video with it mounted on the M2P. I tried mounting my DJI Osmo Action camera on my M2P, but it totally screwed with the GPS signal and the control signal. I posted a video about it right after the 4th of July 2020. I think the WiFi signals interfered and you can't turn that feature off. Feel free to check it out, but I won't poach by putting the link here.
Review or compare to the X-Knight 360 instead (drone plus controller (X-knight) or drone with harness(DJI)! Thanks for the update update! I always appreciate your take on things.
I had an Insta360 at one point (well, I guess I still have it), but I don’t use it anymore as the vast majority of what I do is going to be directional and not 360. Part of that is the post production options for my budget are all that plentiful, so I’m sticking with directional cameras (GoPro Hero 8 and DJI Mavic Mini). As for the video on the Mavic 2 Pro mod, I wouldn’t watch it as I have a Mavic Mini and I don’t plan on upgrading as I’m not all that keen on all the FAA stuff, until they force me. :) Well done on this video, good comparisons.
When hooking up the 360 mid on mavic, please take note on the GPS signal. I come across that it is not working yet. Therefore pilot is flying ATTI mode. Just be aware of it and very careful. All the best. Looking to your video on it. Cheers.
I think the problem with the mavic mod is, that the lenses are way more apart so when you get close to things it will look wierd. Check out the cinebird fpv drone wich is fully invisible in shot with the stock 360 mod.
Yep, wanna see the drone video. Want to know about hand takeoffs required, legs extensions, techniques to combat possible lack of GPS. Pleeeeeeeeeeeeease!
Hey Russ, I Will leave it up to you as I do not have the camera itself but if you get a majority that wants to do it fine with me if not I’m fine with that too.
*can you please tell me , how is the experience of android users with insta 360? I have heard that android mobiles doesn't go well with insta 360 apps? * I have heard that android app lacks features compared to apple?
You didn't mention that you cannot use the webcam feature on the OneInch mod.. it doesn't even seem to be available on that mod. Unless I am wrong how do I select it?
I bought the aerial addition, which is the drone mount variant. I fly the original mavic pro, so selected the appropriate one. It's very cool indeed and allows you to get FPV style drone shots, from a cinematic drone. The bad side is its weight. The mount + camera + vertical battery = a weight equivalent to about half the drones weight, so you do feel it when flying and flight times are significantly reduced. Another thing - hand launching and catching is a must with it on your drone!
@@miyahollands6136 how much roughly did the extra weight eat into the flight time? Do you still feel pretty confident in flight characteristics and sending the drone over water or hard to reach places (where retrieving it may be impossible)? Trying to justify the price of that mount....
@@radek5327 My original mavic pro usual flight time is 20 - 22 minutes, depending on how strong the wind is. This usually means I can get up do what I need to do and get back around the same time the dial gets to auto return stage. With the mount onboard my flight time came down to 15 - 17 minutes, with a slight delay in drone response to stick input. The biggest is stopping - extra mass means the drone has to add extra thrust, but the more course corrections you do the more the motors have to work on order to do it. So to conserve power, keep your flight path smooooooth! Keep an eye on your GPS count, the mount can reduce the number of satellites. I hear the mavic 2 has a harder time with this, I don't have a M2, so can't compare
You mentioned that the 360 mod will allow the viewers to control the pov, when its set up as a webcam. My experience is different. I still get the top/bottom split screen and the viewers can't control the pov.
Please do a video...... I was thinking about getting that attachment for my Mavic 2 Pro; but like you said it looks like it’s not very user friendly. Thanks and keep making informative Videos.
It would be interesting to see how you like the Mavic 2 Insta360 harness and cameras. It will cause the GPS mode of the Mavic 2 to be disabled. I purchased this same thing for the Mavic Pro and the video footage was not very good in my review of that product. I'd love to see your results.
I would also love to see the Mavic mod. I'm planning to get a Mavic Air 2 for my vlogs in the future and I'm interested to see if I should also get food mod for my own One R that I have been using for my channel videos.
I have a galaxy note10+ 256gb and 2 insta360 one r cameras. They worked great up until the recent update that let the cameras connect live. Now I can no longer download video from the camera to the phone. I can only edit video on the camera which sucks. Anyone else having similar issues
I just recently did a test vs the osmo pocket and the rx0ii. And agaisnt the rx0ii it didn't stand a chance in audio and in image quality. Vs the osmo it win against image quality in low light but not in audio
Yeah, would be interesting to see the mavic mod
Mavic mod ?
Definitely interested in the mavic connector!! Buying a One R in the next couple of weeks, and a mavic pro is next on my list!! Would definitely love to see how they work together!!

Thanks! Especially for the notification about the Freewell ND filters. I've been waiting for those...

Thanks for the new video Russ! I think the mavic 360 mod would be pretty cool. Definitely make a video on it if you can!
Yes make a video about the 1R drone mount, looks intriguing! Great video Russ! Looks like the firmware updates were well-needed and definitely help. Also, want to see comparison video when you get the GoPro 9. Thank you!
Yes, please do the Mavic video to show us how the new camera adaptor system works.

Wait until if insta360 did update the aerial mod and fixed all problems. See the videos from #CreatorUp for details
Yes! Make the video of the mavic mood, will be interesting!
Yes I would love to see the mavic mod. How do you like it? do you always lose GPS with it on the bird?
Oh yes, Russ, please do the video with the Insta360 One R mounted on the Mavic 2 Pro. Of course we want to see 360 on the Mavic 2 Pro!

Yes! Do the Mavic attachment video.
I just need it to be fully 100% compatible with Matterport.. the beta software is out so fingers crossed..
Who makes the tripod mount adapter for the camera? Looks like it has a quick release. Thanks for the video.
Yes please do the Mavic mod!

Is the Air pods only bluetooth you can connect or can you connect cardo backtalk bold in that so you can vlog ??
It would be great to see the Mavic 2 Pro VR setup. I’m really interested in seeing what you think of the usability and video quality.
I say yes to the Mavic 360 bracket.

I too would like to see the media mod video
I would like to see a video on putting the oneR on your drone and how it works. Thanks
Yeah that would be great camera on the drone.
Yes, make the video!
Is this camera is easy to operate as the DJi Osmo Action? For that price, should I wait for Osmo Action 2?
You didn't mention that you cannot use the webcam feature on the OneInch mod.. it doesn't even seem to be available on that mod. Unless I am wrong how do I select it?

Yes, please do the split drone video. I have seen some "split" reviews.
Yes I’d like to see the drone setup with the insta360

Does it have "loop record"? Thanks in advance...✌🏾
the one inch module can be used as a webcam on macbook?

Yes, please, the drone mod.
Show us the Maveric. Is it only for that drone or can I attach it to another brand?
I vote yes. 360 on Mavic!

Would love to see you demonstrating the ND filters
Does the 1in works as webcam?
Can I stream with the 4K mod? Maybe I missed that part?
I don't care about what people think.
I work with my devices and make my experience. It's not about talking, it's about doing!
Yes
love it, but still not quite the gopro

What is "AI Raw video"? Sounds interesting or gimmicky, but I can't find any further info on it .
Yes please on the mavic fpv vid

please make the video with the mavic 🙏🏻
Yes mount it to the drone
Yes, let’s see that Mavic mod.
I'd like to see the video with the Mavic mod

Do the aerial mod for the FPV look.
I would like to see the video of the Mavic 2 mod.
Yes please to mavic mod review
imagine a dual 1" sensor 360 module!
Do the mavic mod movie, considering both the One R and drone
Hi 51 Drones. My Insta360 1R camera tends to shutdown after 20 minutes recording in 360 mode. It gets extremely hot. Have you ever faced this problem?
I have not. I would reach out to Insta360. They will usually take care of you.
Do they make the drone mod for the mini?
Bradley Marks no
Of course make the mavic vid. Try to show how it can be useful. Not just pixel peep stuff.
Mavic + one r!
Osmo pocket or insta 360 one r which camera is produce good video quality?
I prefer the Osmo Pocket due to form factor and the FreeWell filters you can get for it.
Thank u so much
