Anas Sharif pfft, ofcourse music is subjective. but if you're into this genre at all, you can hear that these guys are special. listen to he album dualism all the way thru once and tell me you didn't feel something.
This song holds so much power. To me its the equivalent of finding an ancient relic inside a cave
I discovered Textures amidst a tumultuous relationship with my ex-girlfriend. Dualism released the year we broke up and this song was on loop, to make me feel better. Just goes to show that music in any form, heals.

This is a beautiful song. Absolutely love it. Dualism is easily one of my favorite albums of the year. It's incredibly varied and just this so happens to be one of the calmer songs. Fantastic job. Really makes me proud to be Dutch.

The song and the video go together so well. Also the songwriting and overall sound are just ingenious.
very good, i don't know why people are complaining, look back to drawing circles and silhouettes, songs like upwards and awake. i understand cus at first i was like "oh maybe that's a bit straightforward for a textures". But the point is that it's simplistic and they pull it off beautiful. Every single song shouldn't have to have polyrhythms or screaming etc, I think this is also a celebration of Daniel's first album with them. I think it has a very strong character as a song, it's beautiful.
Comparatively new. This is Daniël de Jongh. He joined Textures in 2010, replacing Eric Kalsbeek, and taking over vocal duties starting from the album Dualism.

First of all since Textures is a metalcore band, it's quite usual they have heavy songs as well as these kind of songs.. second of all, a new frontman always bring some new influences to the band, third of all, textures is ALWAYS amazing, this dude nails it live as well :)
It is extremely unfortunate that the album leaked (for the band), but it fucking slays! Dualism is Textures all grown up, and I think this is the best textures we have seen yet.

I'm so F'n happy that Daniel De Jongh exists... finally a TRUELY diverse singer. He has the elitist vocal touch ranging from pop to the heaviest of metal. Daniel, you are officially the greatest singer/vocalist of all time(at least in my book.) Check out Cilice, his work on there makes Mike Patton look like a choir boy.

The new album is phenomenal, and while I do indeed miss Eric, Daniel is fantastic in his own right and fits perfectly with the new material. I simply can't wait for my pre-order to arrive :)

Nice video! Amazing landscapes, amazing song. Music is a little bit more mainstream and a little bit less challenging technically, but I like it somehow, melody is what's the most important! Can't wait to hear the new album :)
The way the lines and shapes form around the different landscapes makes me think of Assassin's Creed lolz

What I was saying is basicly with the same level of production the band could sound just as good as they always did, for the people that do not like the new singer.

I left a comment a few day ago,saying that i really like the song and that the video fit's good and stuff...now, after hearing and watching it for a few times more often, i have to say that i fucking LOVE it!! I really love the "calm" site of Textures, with song like Messangers and Awake, and this Song is just soo beautiful as well.And Daniel is doing a hell of a job here! I think Textures could't find a better replacement for Eric, they are both so incredible talented Vocalist!

I can't believe some people think this is the best album Textures have released... I just can't believe it... this is a transition album, the ingredients of this new recipe have to settle, and that's for sure. Catchy album indeed, but they went too far with the background delayed guitars.Anyway, Burning the midnight oil is amazing. But c'mon, the best????? Let me tell you two words: STORM WARNING... it's just the best song ever, in the whole f*cking world.
