Some time back I bought a used ultrasonic. One of the best investments I ever made. Since then, every watch case and every metal part (bracelets and even pin buckles) I get get cleaned first. Also, Polywatch is a must have, as it's not that expensive. If the band or the bracelet is of good quality or branded, I try to restore or at least clean it as much as possible. Maybe they look good on another watch later. Or on one of my keepers, as I prefer vintage contemporary bands on them. I once even bought a watch just because of the band on it :) Oh, and one more thing: start building a stock of watches for spare parts, even if you don't do any repairs yourself. Your watchmakers is grateful, if you can bring in some of the parts needed.
Michael Gisiger yes everyone in the hoby needs to Owen a ultrasonic it makes life easier, did you know that if you save the gold filled stretch bands you can sell them for scrap, a ferinery will buy them, thank you for watching 😁
Thank you CVW. I have learned so much from your channel that you've quickly become my favorite watch channel. Keep up the great work, good luck and looking forward to the next one.
Very helpful video. Direct and to the point. You want the pictures to make the watch nice, makes sense. I wonder if you could do a video where we see the important pictures. Thanks again, you really did your good deed for the day
Hello. I enjoyed watching your video. Question: I have 2 watches I want to sell on eBay, but 1. Batteries are dead 2. Watches haven't been used for years 3. Watches apparently haven't been clean. 4. One watch band need to be replaced 5. The other watch needs a new safety chain. Now, can you sell the watch "AS IS", or do you need the necessary repairs to the watch before you listed them on eBay?
Thank for another great informative video. How about a segment on taking the photos, staging the watch, etc. Important info regarding the perils of eBay descriptions as I just lost $50 on a sale due to a non original crown. Thank you again, keep em coming!!
Hi. First thanks for your awesome video. I wanted to ask about picture for sale. I have very good macro equipment and I can do really good close up of the watch but the downside is that every defect are visible even some invisible to the naked eye. would that be detrimental for sale? Or is it good? Thanks!
Couple times i sell my pre owned watches, not high brand item, just ordinary seiko, alba, casio, or local brand. The tricky thing for me is how to pack them as save as possible i can, lol. Oh, and never forget to include shipping insurance
Great camera tip... N.O.P... Thanks for the stella content as always... any watch makers/watch repair channels you suggest on RUclips?. Hope all is well.

what's your user name on ebay ? how do we find your stuff on ebay ?
The Biggest Truth comment in this video is..." Sellers always lose on ebay." When there is ANY dispute, ebay ALWAYS sides with the Buyer.
