Ohio, it’s a cousin to the North. Just came across your video, wish there was some sort of lead up to this video. Having lived in France as a boy with my dad in the RCAF then in my 30s while serving with the RCN, you are a lucky couple. Regrettably my wife is determined to live in Fort Lauderdale when I retire (snow birds) she has had enough of living away from home 20:49 🇨🇦.

I will definitely work on a intro video! You have an awesome background… which part of France you grew up in?
Fort Lauderdale sounds great to me, many Ohioans choose Florida too! 😊

Sorry for the delay, needed to confirm the first location with my older brothers since my twin brother and I were 5yrs old when we arrived. The first location was Canadian Armed Forces Station GROSTENQUIN, after it was closed due to friction with the French government we moved to Canadian Forces Station MARVILLE. This is where my brothers and I have memories from, it was like Canada. There was a curling rink, hockey rink etc, if you didn't know better you would have thought you were in the prairies of Canada. The best was going into the village as well as road trips to Switzerland etc. Once this Station was closed due to the same reason as before, we moved to Buckinghamshire England

@shanecrawford6023 wow, what an exciting, storied childhood. I guess the country similarities makes sense since we shared a common past. Thanks for sharing !
