I have a suggestion for the next Pie Eating & Contest: when you read the votes (like in Survivor) I think it would be better to just read the top 3 names one by one with everyone on the edge of their seat. Then you can point to a pile of the ones that didn’t make it into the top 3 (without naming which pies they were or how many votes they got.) People work hard on their pies & depending on what kind of crowd this is, ppl might be bummed to hear they only received 1 or 0 votes. I think it’s better they don’t know the exact #. They just know they didn’t make top 3. . 🤷♀️ just a suggestion. Have fun at the next party!

In the USA, they just don't tell us, but they're doing it as much or more. They had much more resistance to it initially than we did and the adoption of it is relatively recent. I'm not sure why Rhett and Link have the impression that Europeans are less concerned about privacy.

As a Gen Z-er I personally don’t understand the fascination with improving AI. “Making things easier and more convenient” is a never ending pursuit that can never be fully realized. With each technological advancement a new set of challenges is presented. For AI that problem is distorting reality. At least in the US, people are already so divided and at odds about what the truth is, that when you develop technology like this you drive that wedge further between people. I’m okay with AI helping processes in very practical purposes, like at workplaces. But infecting every aspect of normal everyday life with this technology feels incredibly intrusive, and wholly unnecessary. I just want people to ask what AI is truly doing for them and if that bit of fun is worth the slow creep of privacy invasion
It would be really interesting to have one or two of R&L’s adult children come on the pod to discuss some of those cross-generational things, live the privacy issue they talked about at the end!
