I had 98.6 percentile with just 3 months study in jee mains with complete 11th as a backlog with no coaching. I took famous offline coaching in 12th and got serious from November afterwards. And started doing advance questions first time just before 40 days before JEE advanced and completed almost physics and chem and some ch in maths. And scoring 120+ but I believe mindset is not my problem, problem is my syllabus which requires time . What is your opinion on me for deciding to take the drop. I believe I can do better than 99.99% of crowd

Hi sir , I have a case that you didn't mentioned,, I'm a JEE aspirant , got 99.45 in JEE mains my preparation was wholesome to grab 150-190 in JEE advanced but I messed up many question while the test and just getting 120 I was fully confident that i would get 2k-3k rank but it looks like i would barely touch 8k or 10k , i would take a drop if i want but the main think i am facing is the 'risk' ,i will prepare myself to another next level in my drop year but the thing is how can i say that i wouldn't mess the things again in next year paper , so I am thinking of a partial drop by taking admission in NIT... , doing this is good for me or not ?

Getting around 155 marks in adv. I was in a local offline coaching for 2 years so i didn't had that level of guidance which i got during last few months of prep when i got online exposure. Idk what "marks vs rank" stats could be this year but i feel i could achieve way more than this in my drop year as i will definitely improve on my current weaknesses and level up further. I might consider taking a drop and target much better rank next year

What is the propose of this? Seriously work hard in college cuz only that will fetch you a good job. You'll probably get an IIT and a good one. Work for your career because Adv rank won't decide your salary but your effort in college will.

Heyy there, so here I am after viewing my result for josaa 5th & the last round for the year 2024. Although I studied with full efforts for jee mains & advanced and I would like to share the result with you all and also a bit background story about how I reached that score. So I scored 93.8 percentile in JEE mains which gave me rank CRL 94200 & SC category rank 3727 which qualified me for jee adv but unfortunately I got 60 positive marks but due to negative it turned to 49. Only 5 marks to qualify ADV. but I did qualify preparatory courses in IITs.
Now a quick flask back about my 2 years of preparation, not gonna flex my class 10 percentage as it is of no use but after 10 I have joined at some T…. tutorials in which I found myself a topper as the students there were very weak which gave me the overconfidence that Jee was also soo simple as they were teaching but the reality was very different than I had thought. So after successfully blindly believing what the teachers there were teaching and following every study material the provided 1 year had passed then I thought to take some pyqs as a practice for the exam. To my shock I found that I wasn’t able to solve even the simplest question and all this time I was in a disbelieve that like this I could easily bring AIR under 1000 so I researched a bit about the teaching like I saw PW lectures from youtube and was shocked that my previous coaching classes was only teaching the level that was way below that of boards. I told my parents about it and after convincing them for about 3-4 months they finally agreed to change the tuition. Now I had only 6 months left for the exam.
Initially my 2 months were a waste in the new tuition as the course was almost about to end and I couldn’t understand even a single thing. Then I started collecting the notes of the chapters of the beginning and along with pw lectures for 11tha nd my coaching for 12th I completed some chapters for the exam for mains level.
Chapters that I know mains level:-
Quadratic eqns, SNS, Binomial, Matrices, Complete calculas, Vectors, 3D geometry, Mole concept, Atomic Str, Periodic Table,Solutions,Chemical kinetics, Complete organic except for isomerism, (I didn’t knew entire class 12th), Kinematics, NLM,COM & collision,Gravtitaion, SHM , Waves, Modern Physics.
Only these were the chapters I had prepared for jee mains & adv and got VNIT (electrical & electronics engineering), but my dream college is IIT DELHI so I was thinking to take to take a drop this year and to focus on the chapters that got skipped due to the less time I got preparation. So what do you think will I able to get a IIt in next year I studied like this for another year???

I am dipak i got less marks in jee 2023 and mht cet 2023 because i had not studied i was a procrastinator. My main thing was i want to take admission through cet as i had a very low score in jee but in cet also i scored less 15% that's a very bad percentage, then my parents were very supportive and they told me what do you want to do and my reply was i want to take drop. So it was an impulsive decision the whole drop year i didn't open books and told my parents i will not join any coaching i had become overconfident that i will prove everyone wrong by myself but i was not doing anything i was just watching youtube and wasting my time. I kept on procrastinating, then jee 2024 session 1 i hadn't studied nothing and then jee 2024 session 2 still nothing studied and then mht cet still not studied nothing. I have wasted a whole year and today is my cet result and i know it will be very bad. I am telling everyone this because i want you to know that you should never take impulsive decisions and you should always listen to elder people or people who guide you. Atleast try to understand what they are saying why they are saying this

@@samarpanacharya6336 In JEE Adv. there is a huge difference in marks between AIR 1 & AIR 2. Below 500 there are huge gaps in marks. But if you go above 5k, in the same mark you'll find 2-3 students.
