Very well explained, I was struggling with the underlying reason why I am using SEM for my study.

In physical science there is no uncertainty? The uncertainty in the mass of the neutrino is greater than the mass of the neutrino.

Thank you for this video series, without it I would have had no understanding of what I was doing, now I have a good fit model and can explain how it's estimated as well as discuss the results. Could you perhaps make a video where you show a Piecewise SEM model in R? I think I understand it conceptually, but struggle getting it to work in R

Thanks for the feedback! Sure, will do some videos on piecewise SEM sometime soon!

Thank you, dear professor, super video
    I have a question :
why estimate the variance of endogenous variables?
Because the objective of a path analysis model is the estimates of three types of parameters: The paths, The covariances between the exogenous variables, and the variances of the exogenous variables. To determine the direct, indirect, and total effects between the variables.
To avoid the Heywood cases, it is better to fix the variance of the endogenous variable to its empirical variance.
And thus the parameters (Psi) variance of disturbance is constrained parameters not free?
