the reason angerfist is that high is because he has a VERY dedicated fanbase. Even though Calvin Harris has bigger hits, the people who lsiten to his song won't vote for him because they honestly don't care.

If fans truly have a connection with the DJ and their music, then they will go out of their way to vote for them and support them - as seen with Angerfist and any other hardcore & hardstyle artists.
Compared to the other DJs who do indeed make good music, but have no true hardline fan base like you’d see in the harder styles...
This is the only time I agree with something dj mag does good. Indeed the harder styles fanbase is always really close, except when then angerfist and radical don't congratulate headhunterz for being there, little sad still 😂🤔

Where is Porter Robinson? Skrillex? Illenium? Brooks? These votes aren't real anymore. I congratulate Garrix for becoming a number one 3 years in a row. This should be a real list (from 10th to 1st):
10. David Guetta (i know that he is using ghost producers but just look what shows he made this year- Exit, Tommorowland etc.)
9. Avicii- yes i know he died and that stuff but he is legend and he will never be forgotten
8. KYGO- his releases this year are fantastic. His EP "Kids in love" is for me the best EP this year. Every song is fantastic. First collaborating with One Republic than with Imagine Dragons. Guess who is next? P.S. he knows how to keep crowd down and enjoy his tropical melodies.
7. Mike Williams- you may be think im crazy but believe me he destroyed this year.
6. DVLM- their preformances during festivals are exciting. They always make a good show. You will never get bored while you watch how they control crowd.
5. Hardwell- same as DVLM. One of the Biggest DJs ever born.
4. Armin Vaan Bureen- nothing to say here. He never dissapoints. JA JA JA destroyed every stage where it is preformed.
3. KSHMR- one of the most creative producers now. He rock every stage where he's preforming. His drops are so OP and emotional. Crowd gets crazy when he rocks the hard drops. Pure class.
2. Martin Garrix- he deserves to be on top 3 places. He destroyed this year. Starting with Like i Do, then Game over and it's drop. I can say he is only 22 guys. He kicked tommorowland and exit stage this year.
1. Timmy Trumpet/Vini Vici- psy trance exploded this year. I can clearly say that every party has at least one psy trance song. Their preformances are soooo sick. Crowd gets wild.

Dj L is chinesse dj. They dont have instagram facebook soundcloud. They have another social nerworks. Still have over one billion people on this social networks. Dj L is really huge in china. Most popular chinesse dj at the moment there. In asia is big thing if you are in top 100. If you are in top 100 dj mag pool , clubs and promoters book you. If not they dont. This is why so many djs from top 100 playing in asia so often. Promoters from asia told me that when I was there 😀 this is why so many djs try to get in top 100 so many ways even with buying votes 😃

i know it sounds weird to those who arent intouch with the Hardstyle/Hardcore scene, but the explanation why Angerfist is so far ahead to some "more popular" Artist is, that the community is reeeeeally strong and loyal in the Harddance scene. It's really not comparable
to the mainstream EDM community and so i don't think that those have manipulated their votes, because even if Angerfist hits Rank 1 he would never have higher chances to play for example at Mainstage at Tomorrowland or get more money for shows because Harddance is really a niche and its sadly not as markatble as EDM.

He is the best and most popular Hardcore DJ/Producer and he is also reponsible for tracks by Radical Redemption and Miss K8 (and they are also pretty high in the DJ Mags TOP100DJ lists). Please DO NOT understimate Hard Dance community, just like @Vertigo mentioned, we are very loyal to our scene, and just like @keem sanz fairly noticed Headhunterzs results in the pool, I would like to also remind that he was 17th in the 2011 and 11th in the 2012! I could write an essay about why we LOVE so much our scene, why we spread our passion to the scene, and why we are so loyal to it. Even tho hard dance scene is less popular than for example deep house, trap, dupstep and probably even Psy Trance, we are A BIG HARD DANCE FAMILY and we support each other, discus and share our passion. Words can't describe our affection. And if you red it all, I just want to say one thing: thank you for your dedicated time!
