  • This is a set of Weber 40IDTP carburetors.
    Numbers 3446 & 3573.
This is the short version of this build, and we have an in-depth build video to follow. This set will fit a 1969 911T 2 liter, also 1970 to 1971 911T 2.2 liter, and a 914/6 2 Liter.
We have chosen an olive green Ceracote finish that is baked on. Originally these would have a gold finish that ages to a greenish finish. We love Ceracote for its durability, and after the machine work and cleaning, this set is like new and it will stay that way longer.
    This set is sold.

Given they are IDTP carbs do you experience any issues with lean transition after increasing the venturi size? Do you recommend any more invasive mods to these type of Webers?

No, but I have increased the idle jet size as well to accommodate the change in choke size. I have had good success using the IDTP carburetors all the way up to 2.7L engines using much bigger choke and jet combinations.

@@klassikats Thanks Kurt, What base config would you suggest for a 2.4 with mod-solex cams for street use? 32mm chokes?

@@nevenmacewan1869 I would use a 32 mm choke for regular street driving and a 34mm on the track depending on your max RPM range. When it comes to a jet package I would start with a 125 Main, 055 idle, 170 S/C Emulsion F26, and a 32 mm choke
