Hi nice video about i3 and using it in your workflow. Overlaps with a video I recently made for the most part but learnt a couple of new things from it myself. Also your explanations are very clear and relaxed so it's fun to watch. Keep up the good work and you've got a new sub here.
@@sleepyeyesvince Thanks Vince, still here. I sure miss the BDLL show. I was too late but I saw where Cubicle Nate did a live show. Hope all is well Vince!
Thanks Don. I'm not usually one for "pretty" and you're right, I enjoy things just getting out of my way and me being able to get things done fast. Next time I'll show you how neat it is when I pop out the chat :D
@@sleepyeyesvince WHAT you can pop out the chat??? lol , there is a couple of good videos on Dmenu showing you how to customise it to make menus of anything, hth
What not comments on a video that no one wanted! Well I will make one... Lol I like Window Managers and Desktop too! Depends on my mood... Lol ( Male ) I am using SpectrWm and I really like it. Yep that is a 10-4 on the learning curve but after the muscle Memory take over it is amazing how fast you can get to the app you want! I have Awesome an a couple others installed on this machine and on 2 laptops and on 2 other Desktops. I keep going to SpectrWm and I Dmenu and Rofi all the time I need something. I also have Pmenu on a key binding for a GUI menu... Lol I have DWM, i3 and Xmonad on my list of things to do someday... :-D So there is my comment that you will not look at for a video that no one wanted! Lol :-D Indiana Calling, Goodnight DownUnder! LLAP MoonbaseAlpha Out!
Thanks Bruce. I do keep a full xfce installed in case I run into trouble, but I've needed it less and less over the past 18months since using i3. I keep it now mostly to help others out if they have questions. I'd like to try other tiling WMs, but I think I've got i3 working just right for me, so it's a bit difficult to dedicate time again to learning others ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Finally a video that simplifies i3 and how it works, most other videos tend to be very vague with its explanation.
