Loves those foggy hunts, one of the best weather to hunt down here in the Midwest and seeing those birds lock into the decoys. Those two are some stud goldeneye!! Great shooting boys!!
I think the new spot is going to work out just fine. Some sunshine or long line decoys and birds will be in your lap like the last couple. Thanks for sharing guys
Fun hunt! A couple of long lines are really easy. Because of the tides we only use long lines (we can move a 2 dz deek spread in under 10 min) We use camo cord from Home Depot ($5) and then have our deeks on 16" droppers with a clip. We drop the weight down till it hits and then every 4 ish feet clip one in. You probably wouldn't want to do all your deeks that way but a diver set and a couple of wigeon would probably really open up some options. We put ours in a horseshoe so it looks more natural. One other thing you should be doing in the fog is calling! Wigeon calls are easy and the wigeon eat them up. .02 Thanks for taking the time to share your hunts!

Thanks. The birds do seem to like this area for sure. We just got to make the right adjustments and figure out the decoy placements.

Thanks for the tips. Will definitely give them a try. There are some bad weather coming this weekend, so hopefully you get some chance to head out.
