I like the scorpion logo. Not sure why so many dislike it so much.......

I have the Red design 520 and love it. 5 year warranty comfort , double visor, air pump tech. And trust me the 3 pounds is spread out and every time I grab my helmet from off shelf with one hand it feels very light. Anything lighter and I worry about materials used. But for 200 with base color that’s a lot of stuff.
I have just bought this model in the UK, and it comes with Pinlock ready fitted and ratchet chin strap. I hear what folks are saying about wind noise, but this is 100% quieter than my shark helmet 👌😎

@@Itspako8 I have the Shark openline. I must now add that after over a year of ownership I have found the scorpion helmet has a bigger flaw than I hoped. albeit a quieter helmet, it has a very poor visor seal, and living in Scotland we get about 80% rain most of he time and the Scorpion gets a wet interior of the visor....This never happened to me ever in any of my previous shark models. Hope this helps. 👍
scorpion makes very attractive helmets, including this one.

Like some people said before (Jerrod Williams for example) the helmet is nice but the airfit system does not make too much difference. But the worst of all is the wind noise. VERY VERY NOISY! I run a very short straight pipe on my 600 bandit and from 80 kph on I'm not able to ear the exhaust without ear plugs.
UPDATE: It seems like the pads were incorrectly installed on my helmet after being washed. The neck roll on the sides should be completely tucked under the rubber around the helmet. There should not be any plastic tabs from the neck roll exposed anywhere. If they are exposed, the wind can enter the helmet from there. Push it harder and you'll feel the difference. Also looks better. It's possible that it need to be "re-tucked" a bit after putting the helmet on and off a couple dozens of times. I hope this tip help you guys
Scorpion was good the first few years around - now they have tons of QC issues... T520 helmets - the vent covers are not glued on properly and new out of the box they are already separated from the shell... you can also see the paint/graphics flaws around any openings... just not what it used to be initially and I did have several scorpion helmets...
Having a medium head, this not being shared with a large shell is great. I actually don’t look like a bobble head.
Would you choose the r420, the t520, or the st1400 and why? I’m a new buyer not sure which is the better investment. Also, does scorpion run small should I size up one or follow their chart for true to size? Thanks for any advice

I have the exo-t510 hi viz and im SOOO disappointed they didn't bring back the hi viz color with this new model.
im willing to bet it probably didnt sell much. you can put black reflective tape all over a black helmet though. should help a bit.
Why always black? During summer a black helmet cooks your head. I wouldn't mind a black helmet during the winter time when I ride but I'd like a green or yellow or white helmet for summer.
Colors like black are cheaper that's why. Black is always a option and sometimes the majority option
I just bought a white one, I live in the Caribbean so I needed something that was fresh.

Why do manufacturers always pick incompatible comm systems ? Give me an integrated Sena mount or similar , or better yet, nothing and don't compromise your shells with the built in mounting
I bout this as my 1st helmet. I love it. Sad that the Bluetooth is limited to 1 option and haven't add that feature yet
Keep in mind, plenty of helmets that are designed for 1 specific unit can have other universal styles from Sena / Cardo added on. It might look odd or take some thought to mount it up, but we do it all the time for our videos and riding. You can get most universal comms to work on most helmets out there, just sometimes takes a bit longer to mount / route the wiring.
So who valued it from a $200 helmet to a $400?
Which one would be better this helmet or the AGV K1 in terms of value and street riding.
The K1 is lighter but the Scorpion has the internal sun visor and is probably a bit cheaper, Snell doesn’t like internal sun visors so the K1 doesn’t have one
I can see myself putting a couple bank notes or other shit for emergencies inside the battery compartment
i bought the smart version of this, and i just got it in the mail today. i have to say that it is about the same quality as the amazon modular helmet i was using before that cost about $80. im still charging the battery for the comm unit, so i hope that justifies the cost for me. this one does have the ece rating, but the helmets look very similar side by side.
Let us know how the com unit is. I’m debating between this one and the Strada 2 for Bluetooth. Maybe another helmet.
@@rudyeuresti394 it is great for phone calls. i dont have a comm for my wifes helmet yet, so i can only assume that the comm to comm will be similar to the phone call. it lacks bass in music, but gets decently loud. i seem to get quite a bit of wind noise at higher speeds. the cheack pads are a PITA to get back in right when running the wires to the battery. its not that its bad, i just dont think its $375 good. it does have the ece sticker though.
Its my spare helmet and its ok. I wear glasses too. It does fog up easily
did you face wearing glasses any problem ??
Clips holding the pads started to break off and stick on pads when trying to install comm first time and loosely installed on helmet...junk...

Our unit for video was tagged 22.05 but the inventory will have a 22.06 cert as nothing needed change for the update on this lid.
