Thank you so so very much.
I was having a little trouble getting rid of my placeholders but I think I got that worked out.
I'm going to continue to work on this because I do have the ultimate version 2020
How do you keep the dynamic split screen from cashing, I have plenty of computer power.
Helpful tutorial. Is there any way to make the split-screen template longer? It seems to be limited to 10 seconds.....
I have found an easy workaround:
1. Rename the .vsmontage file to .vsp file and open in VideoStudio.
2. Edit the length in timeline and save.
Better not to do it as template. So:
1. Do NOT save as template. Instead, just press OK. It will be saved in the media library in the location that is open on the left pane.
2. Now it will be in the media library in VideoStudio. Right click to open its location.
3. Rename the .vsmontage file to .vsp file and open in VideoStudio.
4. Edit the length in timeline and save.
5. Rename the file back to .vsmontage and drag back to the media library in VideoStudio.
Sorry I just find out that it does not really work, because attempt to add a key after 10sec results in a crash. I am still optimistic that it is possible somehow.
Just extend the video on the timeline like you would with any other clip...
What version of videostudio Do you use ?
There is no the Dynamic Split Screen Template Creator in my VideoStudio (2022 pro) . What happen ?
VideoStudio Dynamic Split Screen Videos, I don't know how to reposition the video or image in 3rd screen
So this doesn't work if you don't need an split screen anywhere other than the first ten seconds, or if it needs to have the second video appear at a certain point.
Split screen was the entire reason I upgraded to Ultimate & it turns out to be totally unworkable. Like most other aspects of this program. I'm really unhappy with it.
Sir i am Indian citizen this software using marriage adding but no Idea sir please help

What happens after you press OK--how do you get back to this editing screen?
It can be a bit problematic..
I found myself having to start over three four five times.
I'm sure once you learn the workarounds it will come easier.
I left videostudio 18 months ago for DaVinci Resolve and never looked back. No comparison whatsoever and Resolve is free...

Yes I have heard DaVinci Resolve is pretty darn good.
And like you say it's free.
I have heard he has a little bit of a good steep learning curve to it... it sounds like you've had enough time to get pretty good at it.

I remember you.
The last time I saw you it was on the Johnny Carson show
DaVinci Resolve is quite an undertaking! Like you really do need to spend a lot of time learning Resolve, and when you don't edit for a while it's easy to forget. But it's one of the greats and the reason it takes so long is there are so many cool things I had to try. A couple of simpler options I like a lot are Lumafusion on iPad and Filmora on desktop or Final Cut Pro on mac. There are tons of video tutorials for those on RUclips, compared to very few for VideoStudio. It's amazing how well an older iPad Air 3 can edit H.265 in 4k with Lumafusion, about as fast as my NVidia 2070 RTX using Resolve. Even though I'm a Windows guy I still lust after the M1 Max or M1 Ultra! Blackmagic claims 3-5x faster than Intel for DaVinci Resolve on M1 Max.
