One clue was when Mayor Noble Walker said he recognized Miss Thornhill when they were at the Weathervane. She played it off as them both being regulars there but it was most likely because he investigated Laurel and the Gates family years before when he was sheriff. This also made him bring up the Gates file after speaking with Morticia and Wednesday (he already knew the truth when it came to Garrett Gates' death) . He then went to the Gates house because of the call about lights being on. What he saw there and with what happened so far is what made him figure it all out before getting to meet with Sheriff Donovon Galpin.

Don't you think bad characters talk waaaaay to much? I mean, Wednesday could've died at least 3 times in the last episode. 1. When Tyler wanted to slice her but (of course) he had to wait till Enid came. 2. I have no idea how Crackstone was supposed to kill Wednesday with his wand (by pressure or sth?, cuz it didn't do much except that) but anyway he had to say sth just to give Bianca enought time to stabb him in a back. 3. Laurel comes to the rescue of evil, pointing gun at Wednesday (I really thought she'll shoot her cuz c'mon, it doesn't take long to pull the trigger and I'm sure that would be a great plot twist at the end) but NO. The bee turned out to sooth her rage towards Wednesday immediately and made Laurel wonder where are all these bees coming from instead of just pulling this trigger and then ran away. Also, who shots to bees?

The biggest possibility would be him being the master of it even if he’s suspicious which makes us wonder why, perhaps his father, but I personally think the father is just to make him look suspicious so that there’ll be a plot twist for people who didn’t rly check the details and enjoyed it as a normal drama

The scene where Tyler is in the tub and is talking about inner demons and therapy got me VERY Suspicious of him. That's the scene where I think I mentally confirmed my theory. He also kept ominously mentioning his mother with no explanation of what happened to her. I figured his mother was someone who went to the school because of the empty explanation of that throughout the season. He also shows up at the strangest times and was WAY too interested in Wednesday without even really knowing her. At least Xzavier had reasoning and showed constant obvious acceptance to her.

i can't understand how i didn't suspect Tyler at all until his own confession. like even when Wednesday saw a vision of him being the Hyde. I thought it was just a wrong vision, as Goody said, you start to see darkness or something in everyone.
But Tyler being the Hyde made so much sense. Cause he always been there. And even before they got too close, he started initiating the romantic relationship with Wednesday.
At first I thought, if he didn't love her actually, then why he didn't killed her earlier or why did he protected her from Rowan. But then I realized that if she was dead they wouldn't be able to bring back to life that pilgrim.
And I also noticed that when Wednesday asked Tyler about the gate showing the picture, Tyler said he have no idea. When he actually knew that it was the house of his master.
Xavier did tell Wednesday about the location of that gate, because he was not the hyde obviously

Iam still hopeful that they’re will be end game and that his new master will be Wednesday if Lauren is really dead. It would be so cool to see more abkommt Tyler and his character deployment.

The stalker is Xavier’s father. Super famous psychic (and his son said he’s his father’s PR nightmare). He IS definitely keeping tabs on Wednesday (for many reasons: she attracts too much attention to herself, to his son, from him and I could go on)
Threatening Wednesday could keep her and Xavier apart.
I have no clue if the fact she has eyes on her will play a part on Season 2.
The School needs rebuilding, the community needs reassurance and there are more much larger things at play when an armored truck has a Hyde being transported.
People are too worried about Tyler and Ricci being back. That would be beneath the show.

I think it's interesting to see all the foreshadowing that I... completely missed.
Yet still knew she was the villain just because she had zero reason to be there otherwise.
Like if you just analyze the common movie/tv tropes, the villains become obvious.
Always keeping in mind one thing: There has to be a twist at the end.
In fact, twist endings are SO commonplace in TV these days, that the only real twist left, is for there not to be a twist.
Weems was the hardass teacher that actually cares a great deal about the academy and its students. It seems like they might be setting her up as the villain, but she's an obvious false lead. She can't be the villain because she's the one whos set up to punish the protagonist in some way until eventually coming around to the protagonist's side.
The Therapist and Xavier were obvious false leads. Psycho-killer therapist has been done to death so they set her up in a very obvious way to make her look like a suspect, she's a misdirect. Xavier had a pile of evidence pointing to him, so again, a misdirect - shows always have a twist and making xavier the antagonist isn't a twist.
Meanwhile Thornhill is too chummy and too forced into many of the scenes to not be important, and yet she doesn't do anything. She appears to just want to be nice and support the protagonist, but she doesn't actually have any real chemistry with Wednesday, nor any reason to like her over any other student. So the only other options is that she's prying and keeping tabs.
Tyler has the same problem. He's overly friendly and nice to Wednesday. He behaves more like a little puppy dog than Eugene, who's the awkward nerdy character who would typically fit that role. He's the overly supportive love interest who's always there for Wednesday and always kind and sweet and there to lend a hand... even after nearly dying. Characters like that often end up the villain (at least in teenage dramas). They try to show his 'angry' / emotional side with his father, but that's the only real time we see him display any serious level of emotion.
He could have fit into a more heroic trope, been the loyal puppy-dog boyfriend who protecc and attacc. But we never actually see him doing anything really heroic to hit that trope. Keep in mind people find Wednesday so abrasive that even Eugene (the quiet nerdy trope - a character who's usually a bit of a doormat) has a moment where he 'rebels' against Wednesday out of frustration because she abandoned him to go to the dance. Tyler meanwhile is always nice, always there for her, always kind - even after nearly dying. Good traits to have in a partner in real life maybe, but it makes for boring tv/movies - those characters always end up turning out to be the villain. Very common twist for the 'nice' guy to be just using niceness to manipulate the situation.

@@jarlfenrir without guessing? Tyler was obvious from episode 1 and the continued forced insinuations on Xavier had me reeling from laughter. It was incredibly on the nose that I had 90% figured out by episode 2.
Once Wednesday went to the morgue and that certain bodyparts were removed it was obvious that there probably was more to the murders then just a ferral monster. There was a very subtle clue in an early episode where Sheriff Galpin mentioned a report that the lights were on at the old Gates house. Then we get the parents-weekend episode and (almost) everything about it clicked: The little sister was likely alive (the no body=secretely alive-trope), resented Nevermore/Addams family. Who seems the most likely suspect? The one with means and motive: who has access to the school and students and happened to be a new and first Normie-teacher dealing with deadly and toxic plants? Thornhill. Who else used toxic? Ansel and Garrett Gates.
At first I thought Thornhill might've even been the undisclosed mother to Tyler, but that wasn't the case - she did call herself "mama" though to Tyler.
Knowing this I also figured out that Tyler's romantic date with Wednesday was a set-up the moment we saw her get back to her thrashed room and Thing being stabbed. Because again: means and motive. Thornhill had access AND she knew that the room would be empty as Enid told her she was staying at Yoko's room. She didn't account for Thing and thus he got stabbed.

You know, I like that the series doesn’t tell us in the face if it was ALL Laurel’s control over Tyler or if some of it was of his free will and maniacal tendencies. I mean, he said to Wednesday in the police department that he remembered what he had done after several transformations and he liked what horrors he had done. At that time after he said that he blinked and his expression changed, so I thought that maybe Laurel can make him say things by their mind link. But no, after all of that Tyler wanted to kill Wednesday in the woods and there was no regret at all. So I choose to assume now that he does have maniacal tendencies and some part of him really knew everything and was aware of what he was doing. He didn’t really like Wednesday, but was just playing his role. And I don’t mean JUST his Hyde part of himself - his human one knew as well. It WAS manipulation on Laurel’s side, but Tyler initially has had this maniac inside of him and he welcomed him with no filters for his crimes, all by himself. And I like it, because it breaks the stereotype about “the good boy” so nicely for this show, it suits it so well. And this is one more reminder for people also that if someone does nice things for you and act well it doesn’t always mean that you know them fully. If this is correct, I’m in love with this series.

I suspected Tyler was a villain on EP.4 at the Rave'N. When Wednesday touched him while dancing she got a vision of Eugene getting attacked 👀 and after that, he was telling Wednesday the old story about him and his friends harassing Xavier and saying "I'm not a bad person".
That's when I knew 100% he wasn't showing who he truly was, and episodes later it was an obvious hint when he got scratched by the Hyde at Gates' house. The monster NEVER let a victim alive after attacking them 😚

They did a great job with the hints because all also alluded to themes of the episode so it was a bit tricky to determine if she was the villain or if she was just making note of themes within the episode. For example, the sexual trickery - was a clue to who the Hyde was so I focused on that as opposed to her being the villian. It was well done.

Theory, stalker could be someone new but seeing how sneaky the producers were hiding the mystery role of Tyler (tho kind of expected he'll be connected to Nevermore with his mother, but it was already more or less late when I concluded hes the Hyde). They probably already implanted a plot in season 1 that they will be heading in season 2.
Definitely agree with the open ended characters, Bianca's mom, Mayor's son, and weirdly Yoko. A vampire. Enid said some of them were literally been there for years, so, who knows who would be plotting more on the Addams family? I have to say about Principal Weems too, she still got unresolved beef with Morticia. Unless that's just it, there might be more to see.
Xavier gave the phone to Wenz and already saved his number. That means, the stalker is from Nevermore as well. And I have three possible suspects. Principal Weems, Yoko and/or Rowan's still indeed alive. As for Rowan... He had anticlimactic death for someone who vowed to kill Wenz for his mother's sake. Other than that, there's plenty more to suspect but I'll be keeping it for now.
    Other theories:
I have a feeling Tyler would be a new student of Nevermore
(Tho I hope they wont be giving Wenz love interests anymore, she seems to be aroace. And if there should be anyone, I agree with everyone sayin Enid being the healthiest bond/development with her so I dont mind either way.)
Laura wont be back for the sequel not sure why I think so but I'mma gonna keep it to myself
    More Addams family activities
More Enid and Wenz mystery solving activities. Coz everyone agrees their dynamic is the best in the series
    New characters

It would make sense for the stalker to be Yoko, cause a new caracter would kinda be obvious and there is a few caracters that can be trust(at least I hope so), Xavier, Enid and Eugene can clearly be trust as well as Ajax and Bianca and the syrens and the mayor's son seem to be trust worthy(Bianca doesn't seems to have anything more than an academic rivalry with Wednesday, the syrens follow her and the mayor's son seems to want to do better and get closer to Bianca)

This 1st season was fantastic. Had me eager for more after each episode. That said, what has been on my mind, during the dance when they got pranked and Eugene was being attacked, tyler was at the school also covered in red paint while Wednesday ran off to go find Eugene, so who was attacking Eugene during that time? My bet is Tyler's mother is still alive and was also working with Thornhill. Which might also explain why Tyler is still able to transform after Thornhill got her ass kicked, but then again we don't know if she's still alive or not. I also suspect Bianca's mom is in on something. Excited for season 2!

Thornhill is the one who blew up the cave. She snuck out and back into the dance. Notice she didn't attack him when she first discovered him. I think she was in a hurry to get back to the dance, maybe as part the plan, or maybe she was coming to get Tyler. She didn't go after anyone herself until after Wednesday had negated all her tools (Tyler, Crackstone).
I don't think anyone was actually chasing him at that point. Just the terror at almost getting caught and being out in the woods at night drove him. Then after Wednesday had the vision, Thornhill set Tyler on Eugene. The Hyde can move much faster than Wednesday, and so was able to get ahead of her and attack Eugene.

What other kind of easter eggs will Burton bring back from the past?

When he tried to kill Wednesday in the wood and got stopped by the Enid, he transformed willingly, then fought Enid in his clear mind. He even tried to attack his dad, whom I’m not surprised being targeted on

Did anyone catch this? Thornhill tells the Mayor she drinks a daily matcha latte but Tyler gives her coffee later on in the series 👀 Not sure what it could mean but it struck me!

Is it just me or did the show deliberately leave out the explanation for Xavier's psychic connection with Tyler? Not sure if I dozed off during the exposition...

It could be something they're saving for next season... Fraternal twins, half-brothers -- soap opera country. Lmao.

Knew from the start Tyler was the Hyde. Although I did suspect the teacher but didn't think she was the monster but when they confirmed the monster needs a master I was like "ah ha!" .
It was obvious Xavier wasn't the monster. They tried hard to make him look suspicious but it's a common misdirected in movies. I was Gina be disappointed if it ddd turn out Xavier was the Hyde cause it would have been too obvious. But I still don't understand why he drew they Hyde so much and basically gaslight Wednesday about "are you sure it's real",

I totally agree. hahaha. I was really thinking, the more they put that evidence/s kinda thingy related to xavier, the more it shows that he's not the monster haha.

I wonder if red herrings will stay red in season 2. Wednesday had good reasons to suspect Xavier and Kinboot. They still didn't cast off all suspicions.
Like why Xavier was always at the places of Hyde attacks? Had dreams and acted on them? Or is he to spy on Wednesday? Like Tyler, he is way too much into Wednesday. Always forgiving being treated like shit.
And the psychiatrist. Why do the roses match? When Wednesday asked her why someone overqualified like her is working in Jericho you could tell in her expression that there was a reason. She had access to a lot of what was going on.
And whos the stalker? How many peoples were truly involved?

Who both tricked by Tyler? I personally thought it couldn't be him. Then it started to make sense when he was always around or she told him where she was going. I wonder who the new .principal will be.

I annoyed my husband the entire series from when they cut from discussing a monster killing people in the woods to just a little later the teacher walking in mentioning her muddy boots then they even had to hammer it in harder with a long shot just of her boots. I was like that's too weird and specific she has got to do with this monster in the woods! Then everything after with her just sealed it for me.

The ring is key. In a call back to a Buffy plot device, Crackstone's ring dropping on the ground after he turns to dust is most likely a key that he may return in a future season.

Im a psych student and heres my perspective.
One of the things that I thought could be possible is NONE OF IT BEING TRUE. As all of it being in Wednesday’s mind and novel to make her the hero in a place where her mum is already the hero and she’s overshadowed, what better way than by saving the whole school to defeat an all rounder school legend. That she was beginning to get crazy and confused loosing touch from reality due to her psychic delusions.
    1. In the beginning, Wednesday said she devotes an hr to her novel, but we only see her typing what’s happening in the school and Jericho like its her journal, her previous 3 books were about another girl named wiper who was a detective. In the therapy, it was brought up that there is a similarity between her and the mc wiper of her novels, wiper’s interesting relationship with her mother dominica, just like Wednesday, which made her uncomfortable and she dint want to talk abt it. Maybe the editors realised it was Wednesday being delusional and writing novels which is why they suggested psychiatric help to her.
    2. In every real situation related to school, she is being shown always being overshadowed by her mum. From her being famous in the whole school and her dorm ophelia hall, to being the captain of the poe cup challenge, best in fencing, past of the secret society nightshades, her mum being a carnivorous plant aficionado which is why she was good in class, etc. which perhaps fueled her motivation to be the Legend instead in a more heroic way.
    3. Since she came in, she has been humiliated, one for being like a freak, then by bianca in fencing, etc etc, where her disdain filled ego was specially hurt and she realised she cant outshine her mum in reality hence to comfort herself and fuel her ego she has to do in her fantasy.
    4. She dint wanted to be in love like her mum, as she said in the first episode, hence the guy she fell in love, she made him the villain, to add more to her gruesome character and choice where she can simply say, “of course the first guy she kissed would be serial killer monster”
    5. Throughout the season, many ppl have told her, including Xavier, Mortisha, prin Weens, that having psychic visions drive the person crazy, illogical, delusional and its deep rooted to emotions and the only emotion Wednesday shows well is her hatred to her parents, not her brother but just parents, specially mum, hence in her delusions, school was only place where she had to be a hero and outshine her parents in her delusions.
I dont hate wednesday or anything, im just trying to read the character well and the plot.

** Xavier told her that his dad is an expect and he himself says that Delusions are highly unreliable and unrealistic, probably the murder mystery was a part of her mum’s delusions nz shes psychic too
