Just recently had a similar “revelation” about reading, so that was really refreshing to listen to! I’ve finally started reading, because I’m letting go of the idea of what I “should” read and reading what I want.

You may not read this but this vlog brought back SO much nostalgia for me that I literally had to hold back tears. I moved to the Wicker Park area back in 2016 when I was your age and I had just ended a very long term relationship. I also worked in the loop at Jackson and LaSalle. I spent the next 4 years intensely loving life and learning about myself and making memories in Chicago up until the pandemic (I left for Michigan and now live in Arlington Heights). I'm also full remote so I never come into the Chicago loop anymore for work. While watching this, I see SO much of myself in you at that time of my life. Enjoy this time in your life...especially while you are in Chicago! So special. Bless you!

Currently pregnant and on bed rest. Am trying to use this time to read all the books that I have to distract me from going on my phone so much which results in me feeling like trash. It is such an awesome experience and it's incredibly soothing, peaceful and empowering.
I like your advice that we should read things we are really interested in. I recently bought a couple books at Target and read them through already. Planning a trip to Barnes and Noble after this video. I personally love Self Help or Self Improvement books- I inhale those kinds of books! I also enjoy learning about history but fantasy sounds really cool too I might give it a go :)
P.S. You remind me so much of myself with being in love with life! It's so refreshing to see you in such a natural and healthy state

1st of all i ❤️ u GABI thank u 🙏🏽 ☺️ for sharing ur life wit us 💕. I recently (3 weeks ago) went back to school, and although I was happy with the career path I chose I began to doubt myself in being successful as a student due to failed attempts at other career pathways in the past. A week before I began school I was shopping at 5 below when I stumbled upon the 4 agreements book, I too had heard great things about this book but had never read it so I took it. As soon as I started to read it I quickly fell in love with it because it was extremely relatable. Then school began and my anxiety, nerves, and self limiting thoughts began to kick in. But to my surprise on the very 1st day, my instructor shared the very same book to the class, as the pivotal piece that led to him changing his whole life around by leaving a corporate job to pursue a passion of his that he never imagined would be the best decision he ever made. I was just in total shock I mean I never imagined he would be sharing a book needless to say the exact book I had picked up on a whim 😳. Fast fwd to today, I was taking a break from studying 📚 by watching your vlog and while u were sharing ur books I though, “how crazy and cool would it be if she mentioned the 4 agreements” but not really putting too much thought or energy into it, it was more of a casual thought. And then ya did girl, u mentioned it!!!! My jaw dropped 😮 p.s. angels/spirit guides don’t mess around when ya ask them for a sign 🪧, guidance, reassurance they go above and beyond 💫

A Discovery of Witches is something I thought I would get into - I didn't know it was based on a novel they made it into a TV series but it didn't really enthrall me in the way that I it wanted to. I loved the vampire diaries and I am currently waiting for another series to watch that is similar - if anyone has any suggestions
