Yep, Nobody is promised tomorrow! Perfect example on july 7th this year i was very harshly reminded of it. I was hit by a semi while sitting at a light. I now have 3 vertebra fused in my neck and fractures in my back at T3. Figures because i'm almost done with my build! Anyway, I shouldn't be here and i damm sure shouldn't be walking! But the good lord graced me with still having the use of my limbs as well as my life. So grateful to still be here!
Man I agree with the slower fun class. I run in the 11s in the 1/4 an I'm slow. When I was younger an a 11 second street car was fast. Now not so much. But sure as hell have fun out there.
I was ticked pink when I finaly got my daily driver into the 11's and was beyond estatic when I finally ran a 10:00 that has been a long time ago I'd be happy just to be able to afford to race again even if it was 12s
Once again ol'buddy..... your closing words.... jus about got me down..... no body is promised tomorrow..... take each day to the red line and then cramm'er to the floor..... that's way I love watching your stuff.... jus like listening to my dad that I lost 5 years ago... man I'm gonna come up to Ohio and meet you one of these days..... I'm right on the Tennessee and Kentucky border...... you really make my day's when you start talking about keeping close with the family..... love you ol'buddy.... crazy ky fan.....
That class sounds like a blast and it should be a winner. I know quite a few guys that will run it. They love having fun even though they know they aren't fast enough to win. But for them winning a round or 2 is a win for them.
Excellent Video Bill. You guys are great people along with Matt. My 68 camaro is currently being built at D&S Fabricators so I get to see and hangout with Matt and the Dodger from time to time.
I love the people who think we're out here doing this for money! If you don't love the sport and don't try to have a good time over anything else this shit will ruin you! Good luck this weekend!
That shitbox class is a fantastic idea, kinda brings together a lot of the talk that's been going on lately and I hope it catches on! Only class I might last a round through, I need pb blaster to get my wallet open sometimes. Bless you all at SRC!
And yet again another great SRC Garage video. Your such an inspiration to everyone. Very humble God fearing family man. Keep up the great content Bill. We are cheering for you and your wonderful family this weekend stay safe.
Bill you guys are amazing you have wonderful friends wonderful family and love the support and it won’t quit. I hope you all the very best and I hope you come to the winner circle and remember to pack patients and one pocket and God in the other . God bless
Agree, not everybody can afford 5-6-7 second cars and just want to participate. I got away from the fun of being a participant and was determined to be a competitor……that was a rabbit hole and burned some funds quick lol
best thing i have ever heard.... at every event there are lots of guys that know they aren't going to win but they come anyway, thet pay their entry fees and have a great time.. those guys ARE the sport!
I have been watching you and your family from the start you guys give my family hope and inspiration your helping me get threw a hard time my 17 year old daughter almost lost her life because a irresponsible truck driver she is slowly getting better by the grace of god I watch you guys and it has helped me so much getting threw this thank you and your family it means a lot
I am venturing to say this video was the most exciting of all of em. You are spot on sir about having fun, cause most of us probably won't win anything. Really exciting about that $3500 truck ! That's my style. And Bill, squonch the rocks a little tighter for miss Vicky
Man that is one of coolest things Iv heard about this is something Iv been preaching forever. If they had a group like that where I’m at in bolivar mo I’d put something together. As usual you all did great
Mr H…. I could watch your videos for HOURS!! Absolutely loving the content, the editing is first rate. Thanks very much, have a safe trip and GO ROUNDS! Scotty from Lancaster.
The reason I watch you all is because your having the fun I can’t right now. Truck needs radiator, and I work weekends.so please keep the content coming can’t wait to see the next one. And thank you for doing what you do.
Those dogs are so spoiled. But it is cute watching them. That is very true about life enjoy it while you can because we aren't promised tomorrow and there is so much bad in the world right now it does make it hard to enjoy it but you guys always seem to make it a little better just watching your channel and racing to have fun and spending time with your family while doing so. You really don't see much of that anymore everyone is always to busy to do so.
Best message ever Bill .... Don't forget to just have fun in whatever you choose to do in life .... Good luck and be safe Bill Vicky Billy Molly and Tommy ....
Bill, it seems as though mrs Vicky really doesn’t ask for much. 🤔 and it’s obvious you two are great together. And she always seems sooo sweet. You should tighten up that fire ring 🤷🏻♂️ Thanks for an amazing channel 🙏🏻
Thats what it's all about having fun and doing it with family blood or not .. wish I could meet up with you guys sat morning . I'll be in Maryland picking up a old school body that needs help
That’s what I love about you guys Bill, none of you have lost sight of what’s important, family & fun. Yes we all could choke some of our family members sometimes and we lose site of fun at times but you can guarantee there’s something around the corner that reminds us all what’s most important in life💯👍🏻💯
Great video. I also follow DNR. You guys are why racing is still fun no matter what level you race at... dirt cheap or expensive it's all fun win or not!!! Thanks Bill!!
Side note- I was watching 1320 videos and I seen the one where Billy was racing at "Da Pad" in New Orleans. Thats was pretty cool 1320 is a big RUclips channel and they are so well known in the drag racing scene its awesome yall were in one of there videos. Cheers!
This is why we keep coming back, you surround yourself with good people and bring them some light. Matt is good people, putting on a 'low rent' class is pure class. The idea is damn good too, keeps the sharks in the big pool and lets a few more hometown hero's get a little of the action. Should narrow up the small tire field a bit and make things go a bit faster per round.
Freaking awesome Bill. At 51, I'd love to try and compete but it's not in the cards right now. This is a perfect deal for us weekenders. God bless ya'll
I totally get behind the "Fun Factor" you guys were talking about. If you're constantly getting ticked off and getting discouraged with not winning, then you need to look for something else to do. Great upload!
Interesting episod 👍 You could put their RUclips channel and website as Links in the description of your video. I'am thinking both this one and the future visitors, since RUclips channel shoutout always comes in the middle of the videos you don't remember it when the video is over.
At the end of the video, what you said about enjoy life with your family because tomorrow is not promised to no one is so true. I just turned 50 May 17th and I waited long enough to build a 11 second daily I have had rollin’ around my head for 25 years. I’m looking for a 87-88 Monte Carlo SS that I will be putting in a conventional SBC with a carb and enjoy it with my wife and daughter who just turned 7. After watching Cracker Barrel for a year now I am not putting it off any longer because tomorrow isn’t guaranteed. My dad taught me a tremendous lesson. I traveled with my parents to 26 countries while growing up because my parents loved to travel. He told once that he is not going to wait until he retires to do this because he may not get there. They came home from a trip to Argentina the Sunday before 9/11. 3 days before, they never stepped on a plane again. It was a year after he retired. If he waited until he retired he would have never traveled again. Thanks to him and you Bill for giving me the inspiration to build one of my dreams. Take care, enjoy life and God bless👍👍👍
Bill, If you keep some brass set screws of the same thread as the air bleeds on your carbs, and you have a set of tiny drill bits of the sizes you might need, the set screws can be easily drilled out to provide whatever size air bleeds you might need. I've done this and they work great, maybe it will save you some grief sometime or other.
Amen Bill, great words of wisdom at the end of the video. In the end kids just want to have fun no matter what their age. Oh and by the way who wants to eat soggy cereal ?!
I love Matt and his way of looking at things. This truck has actually taken on a life of its own. As he said, thats not how it was intended to be. Can't wait to see it run tomorrow at 42. Btw, let's keep Cleetus/Garrett McFarland in our prayers 🙏🙏🙏. He posted earlier today that he's home sick with Covid-19 "I fell like I've got two blown head gaskets" was his quote.
thats what i miss the most about not having a racecar anymore is spending time at the track with my dad, brother and family.. as always love the vidoes
Man that old Dodge looks sick af ! That truck deserves to be built now that its so popular. Dont loose the patina but built a badass chassis for it. Dosent have to have 1500 hp. Everybody wins at the track if you have fun and make memories
@@DNRAuto just drive it the way it is for a while and start slowly building a chassis for it. I bet tons of people would watch you build this truck. I subd to ur channel btw
