- We finally started working on swapping torque convertors in the dart. We didn't realize how pesky the dart is when you tear it apart... So the old man swoops in to lend a hand,

I have been enjoying these videos more and more from gen 2 garage. Really shows the grind of making upgrades on cars, most of us gear heads can relate to that. I like the team work, makes it more tolerable and fun on the miserable days wrenching on stuff. Keep up the good work.

A little tip for filters. On all my Trucks. When we service them. I take a hammer and a long screwdriver and knock a hole in the bottom of the filter where I want it to drain. It drains the filter and makes it weigh less. Keep in mind. A filter on a Peterbilt holds a gallon.

I know a little white Mustang that would prove to be a very worthy opponent to that Challenger. With the Stang on slicks, & Billy driving it, it's very capable of 9s (in a 1/4).

Great video I have my own mechanic shop and body shop , I miss the fun times with my boys they both grew up and took a different path in life which I wanted them to that .enjoy your father you'll miss him when he's gone.

I remember a friend from high school had a new '72 Charger with a 318 , and he wanted to go fast like the rest of us , so he bought a set of Appliance headers for it . Three days and many choice words later he was back on the road , oh and he had to drop the tie rod too as it went thru the headers ! I think I put the Thorley's on my '64 L79 Malibu in under four hours . Lol.
Takes a special person to be a Mopar man. I'll never forget my first experience as a teenager helping my buddy replace header gaskets on his barracuda with a 340 and his dad started draining the radiator because the header bolts will leak coolant. As a young man who only worked on small block Chevys I was amazed and remember thinking how dumb that was lol.But now as an older man that's close to Bill's age I've learned to appreciate all old muscle cars

I'd like to get in Jeff's shop, mix all his tools -- metrics with the SAE --- use his torque wrench for a breaker bar, track in mud, hang up a neon Chevy sign and all the while Jeff has to watch while handcuffed to a Dodge torsion bar! Oh, Oh! Do all the work with an adjustable wrench and Vice Grips!
You all are a hoot and it makes my day every time you all up load a video I'm finding myself wanting more of both families working together. Jeff and Bill together with there knowledge is like a college lesson and free at that learn what you can. Im a chevy guy thru and thru but i maintain and work on a two.man race team that my friend has a 2013 challenger with a gen 2 hemi in it. It runs low tens as many times as you want it too. We can turn it up and it will run mid 9's . STOCK. NO TURBOES AMD NO SUPERCHARGERS. N/A . only thing it has on it is a high duration cam and its bored 60 over. It also has a holley injection system on it . Thats it. But it puts 648 hp.to.the flywheel and 515 to the rear wheels with a 410 geared spool. Very nice car and it is worth well over a 100 k.

Looking forward to part 2, might be a good idea to use the Vickers built T350 with the one that's in the Dart leaking everywhere and that it's such a pain to take out

The tractor fumes thing was the best comeback I've heard in years. And borrowed or second hand welded up converters worry me. Hope ol king shitbox didn't blow a bunch of clutch material and glitter through that damn thing.
I wouldn’t go through all that trouble to put in a converter that the king of junk had anything to do with.
