I’m so glad you also managed to get this. Really closes out one of greatest searches the community had, at least in my opinion. I assume you were one of the other two lucky enthusiasts to get one?
Never thought I'd see the real dual action M69. Great find! I also found something rare lately. Remember that WS1T-24 you had the metal cage on from System Test 22? (See wood watch) Found one on Ebay by chance and quickly snatched it for a pretty cheap price.
Talk about rare, One time I was on a military base and I saw an outdoor gamewell pull box. Really old but still in its original form. And then one time at a shop at a different base, I saw another one inside. Gamewell makes things to last.
If it's on a system that re-alarms on an already alarmed zone, resetting this would cause the alarm to sound again if not silenced, which would be an issue.
Dual action part prevents false alarm. Because the whole pull station slides down if something accidentally hits it. Like a flying comb 🙂 So it does have a purpose somehow.
That is neat! At first I honestly thought you had 3D-printed the cover since you revealed that it's just an accessory attached to a standard single-action M69. Nice for a collector to finally have one (& thus now we can see an actual one as opposed to blurry pictures or datasheets as you said). Nice find & cool video! I guess this means you finally have the exact station that was once at that one grocery store, which I know you did a simulation of in a mini system test (that I watched just today in fact).
@@NewAgeServerAlarm Wow, those are rare! I take it it responds to polarity reversal. I have a new old stock rotary AE 120B that I configured for postpay. It functions properly as a post pay phone on my step switch, but I hope to get some coin control hardware working and configure it as prepay.
Speaking of rare, I am in Fits trying to find out what type of Edwards alarms my old elementary school used to have. The school was built around 1980, and the horns were red, and looked very similar to the Edwards 881. But they sounded like a ratchet wrench when they went off, and they were in fast march time. They also had a separate light plate. The majority of them are mounted vertically right above the horns. They were red, with a white “fire” on both sides. Any ideas?
Huh, considering the construction of the rest of the pull I would've expected the handle to be metal and more similar to the FCI MS-2; rather interesting that it's just a detachable plastic accessory.
dang that’s rare. it’s also a crappy piece of plastic that doesn’t work. it and the pull station are in great condition though, so congratulations on owning it!
Very neat Andrew, these indeed are very rare, thanks for showcasing it in this video. I'm a very happy collector right now because I got a Simplex 2001 "repack" in great condition and got it working. It's got 6 zones and two signal circuits. I'm going to add the march-time card and configure the jumpers for it within the next few days as I did order one for it which arrived.
@@NewAgeServerAlarm Thank you. Do you still have your 2001? The first thing I did when I received mine was re-watch your "in and out" video haha. I just uploaded a quick test video of mine. I have a little demonstration system set up with it like the one you have. Not sure if you remember but I'm the same person a few years ago who talked to you about telephony equipment and you mentioned being interested in that which was neat as well. I'm 20 now and plan to get a career started in the fire alarm field. A very generous Simplex technician sent the 2001 to me for free, and it's in practically mint condition. I'm going to be getting another pretty neat panel, a dual bay 4020. He offered to program some things into it for me so that I can get it normal. There weren't even any knockouts missing in the cabinet of the 2001 when I got it. Mine is from 1980 and looks to have been installed in 1981. I added another dual zone card as when I got it, it had four zones and one signal circuit card which I swapped for a dual signal card. It also has a meter card fitted in slot 2. As you can tell, I'm very fond of STR and the history of the company, I think they made great products, especially before the company was bought out. Right now I have a legacy 4010 (two of them actually), a 4001, the 2001, and a 4004. I hope to find a 4005 in the future, they are neat. Maybe one day I will be able to get my hands on a Notifier panel, that would be neat as I do have a bunch of addressable modules and some detectors just laying around and conventional devices. I can understand that, although since I'm pretty easy to pick up on new things related to electronics, I got the hang of the basics of zone and signal wiring, but they are difficult especially since the terminals vary depending on what cards are fitted, and even finding wiring diagrams online or information on certain things can be difficult. I did find out that for a basic non-coded system, no jumpers are required for the zone and signal cards to function. Jumpers are only used for special option cards such as the meter card, march time card, coder card, etc. Which I never knew at first. I hope you take care and thanks for uploading a video once in awhile, I hope all is well with you. Your videos are very helpful and entertaining.
When I see the word “rare” on a fire alarm channel, I click on it instantly. I literally didn’t know these even existed until now
What I think is rare is edwards 894s and firelite bg5s

"Can I buy it?" Sarcasm aside, still great to see you continuing to make videos from time to time!

I found a Firelite BG6 On Ebay.
@@KanoaDeCastro they're rare too but are more common to find on ebay

Oh wow! That looks RARE!!
I am so happy that you are uploading again! Such a cool station

You dont know how glad I am to have you back, you literally were my childhood.
Your lucky to get that! They usually pop up for a very expensive price. The best price for this should be 60 to 95.
Oh Wow!
Can you do a system test video with this pull station?
Nice find!

This isn't really related at all, but how would you feel if your channel got verified?
I’ve seen this pull from jjinc24
The long awaited sequel video to Mini System Test 11
Hi Newageserver your vids are epic!
What happend to your Exit sign.
Do you still have a Minecraft server and how can I join
Oh neat

I'm glad you found one. Holy s#it
Seems very flimsy.
I've Got Like 6 Of These

Nice Payphone. 1C or 1D type? Or do you have a smart board in it?
1E actually. Post-pay model

Thats pretty cool. I didn't even knew that some of these M69 pulls are dual action!
I can see these pulls paired with 7002ts during these days

didnt know you still post i used to see your stuff in like 2014
when i was young
Beautiful. I love those pull stations. Major envy xD
These would be a pain in the ass to use on a Simplex system.
why?
Because newer Simplex systems have re-alarm, the system would trip again while resetting the pull.
Bro this man is my childhood tbh. Reason I had a fire alarm faze when I was younger. Truly a great guy.
Indeed a nice pull station
Very nice pull station!
so you finally found it, ey?
How did you find those rare things?
There were three of them on eBay. Andrew got one, I got one, I don’t know who got the third
@@HenBasketFireAlarms didn’t know you had one, although i guess there’s not really a way of knowing lol

Congratulations, those panels are a true challenge, pretty much the toughest alarm panel I've ever worked on.
