Nice editing in this video, also a great demo of the CS4000, the "programming telephone" jack on the back of those is really helpful for this method of initial connection. One thing to note if you're a collector getting into these systems: be careful with the Commander 2000 panels. They do have an installer code, and a CS Lock that can prevent you from connecting with a CS4000 or programming from the keypad. The ADT rebranded ones are also proprietary and will not connect to a regular CS4000, stay away from them.
This series just gets more and more fascinating with each video. I _love_ seeing what happened "behind the scenes" back in the day, and the fact that you were able to simulate that is just incredible.
I just found this channel again and im so glad i did. i didnt know you were still making videos! i used to watch you alot and espesically your old videos.
Sensor programming reminds me of MX or EST SIGA style modules/devices. U need a SIGA-PRO to set the address and function, just like the iti needs a programming tool.
I have a Caretaker+ ITI I think. I was able to delete an obsolete sensor thanks to you, from the panel. Was trying for a while with limited info on the net. THANKS SO MUCH. How to remedy a problem window sensor (battery I think)?
Something tells me that this was installed in my new house at some point because I found a magnet in the same color and same design. The house now has a simplisafe system in it as there was no system anymore in that house.
I recorded two takes and put them side by side with a video editor. I also have a private telephone system in the basement and that's how I placed the call.
Ya gotta love 80’s tech! I have a Napco Magnum Alert 825 (circa 1985) and it’s a cool piece of vintage technology.

what is the CLI app on your PC that connects to the receiver?
it's just putty, set as a serial terminal. nothing too crazy.

@@NewAgeServerAlarm Neato, would love to see more like that, too! Really gives it a realistic vibe, like how it's done behind the scenes
Curious, do you ever plan to get a Moose Z2000 panel? They seem rather interesting imo.
