    I’m definitely looking forward to this review. I’ve never wanted to own an AK platform until I saw TM’s new AKX so this video will truly help me decide to invest in an AK load out for this replica.

    I saw and held an AKX at Midlands Airsoft fair over the weekend, can confirm they feel absolute quality in the hand. And with the full rail system, it no longer has the traditional ak draw backs when it comes to mounting optics or accessories.
    If I'd not picked up an MWS the week before, I'd definitely have bought an AKX! It's stunning.

    i believe the 1975 is a mock production date, so it's based on a model made in 1975. i could be wrong though.

    3 proof marks around front trunion pin, triangle with arrow marking is Tula Arsenal factory and the 1975 is the year of production. Last marking is the serial number. Basically it's a AKM stamped steel receiver made at the Tula factory in 1975.

    Great minds think alike, not only do I buy my Airsoft replicas from Defcon (who are utterly fantastic) but I also got my AKX from them. I've got an RK-0 grip, DTK- 2 Muzzle flash on, pistol red dot like yours and swapped out the stock for a fixed stock with a Magpul CTR. PS I bought my rk-0 grip from High pressure airsoft uk for £25 but it does clash with the curved mag a bit.

    This or the akm ? Which is better for performance also what would I need to do to the akx for it to shoot 75m effectively?

    • @MiddleAgeGameruk
      @MiddleAgeGameruk  3 месяца назад

      Hi there, the akx and akm are both virtually identical internally with the main difference the furniture, i.e., the top cover, stock, handguard etc.. if you want to hit the 75m mark, then a good starting point is the barrel, I tightbore and longer barrel, also a higher performance nozzle and bucking to lift heavyweight bbs. The only downside to the akx I found over time was the weight of the front end. The stock is so light that it feels unbalanced.

    • @ufc786
      @ufc786 3 месяца назад

    • @MiddleAgeGameruk
      @MiddleAgeGameruk  Год назад

      Hi there, congratulations on the TM AKM purchase, the comon answer is a tight-bore inner barrel and bucking change, but i would highly recommend a bavtech hop arm and nub too. They have a good selection out there for various bb weights.

    • @ufc786

      @@MiddleAgeGameruk got it! Any nub and rubber you would suggest ?? And inner barrel

    • @MiddleAgeGameruk
      @MiddleAgeGameruk  Год назад

      Hi there, hop-arm and nub go with bavtech. As for bucking, it depends on the weight of bbs you're using. As for inner barrel, a 6.01mm inner barrel will be more than enough, as for brand well I use mapleleaf but I would suggest you go with your favourite brand there.

    • @MiddleAgeGameruk
      @MiddleAgeGameruk  Год назад +1

      Hi there, Thanks, it really is a great ak gbbr, I am able to get 2 full bags and a bit, weather dependent, as in colder weather, it will drop slightly. With regards to cleaning, it's really simple to do and a joy after a full day's airsofting to just wipe down and relube. At this moment in time, it really is the best out of the box AK.

    Nice review! Has TM/Aftermarket caught up with internal replacement parts? Loved my AKM but parted with it after a year and half due to no replacement nozzles coming into the market. :( Shame to hang up such a beautiful replica due to no supply.

    • @MiddleAgeGameruk
      @MiddleAgeGameruk  Год назад

      Hi there, being in the uk its colder here most of the year and runing Abbey or Nuprol 1.0 in the AKX is difficult, Spain is a much more warmer climate so yes you could run it on it no problem, when temperature drops there Abbey Ultra should be fine. Hope that helps.

    Hi there! I really want an AK for a next replica. But there's a big downside for me on Tokyo Marui... in my country we have a 400FPS (1.5J) limit. So, TM stuff is really underpowered here. This puts me in a considerable disadvantage regarding range and BB's speed. In a medium-range engagement, strafing at, let's say, 30 meters, people can easily dodge a under 300FPS flying BB. Moreover, here 99% are AEG users, which is already a big advantage over my GBBR's. That being said, I wonder if this AKX would be a good primary for me, in your opinion. I would be really happy if I could reach at least 350FPS with a .20, witch would render about 300FPS on .28's -- Oh, almost forgot.. here in my city we NEVER get below 25ºC over the whole year, nor even at night. So, propane here is always on good pressure.

    • @MiddleAgeGameruk
      @MiddleAgeGameruk  6 месяцев назад +1

      Hi there, TM aegs are really underpowered for sure, especially the older ones, but the new mp5s are actually a lot better. In regards to the TM gbbrs, they are actually hitting well out of the box around 340fps with .2s. The main upgrades required are a tightbore inner barrel and the bucking of your choice. If It's still not hitting and enough for you, then a nozzle upgrade from any one of the major companies should do it.

      @MiddleAgeGameruk  Год назад

      Hi there, the current max distance ive shot it to is 35m at Halo Mill CQB where it was still flying stable and straight so its definitely going to be more than that. The efficiency is approximately 75 rounds per mag in temps around 8c as summer is on the way I expect more.
