Abstract:
For this fragment of the masterclass on the Rhapsody from Bloch's Hebraic Suite, Prof. Power gives instructions on bow position, bow movement, and string contact to improve sound quality according to the music's expressiveness at each moment. Additionally, Power suggests changes in bow direction and color to achieve an expression more appropriate to the musical "text."
