I just got this for Christmas and I’m really excited to play. Having no previous experience with Axis & Allies, though, man this is daunting. A lot to take in.
You got this! Hector and crew will take you through it step-by-step, but feel free to come back with any questions when you have the game in the table. Have fun!
I am still getting my first reps in of this game, but so far they have been wildly different. Still, like any game, I imagine that a "meta" of sorts will develop. Thanks for watching!
Worst case, you've got 3 scenarios, 2 factions (or mix in 3 and 4 player games). It will probably take a few plays to "figure it out", so 8 plays minimum, then change opponents :)
Hello Board Game Nation, I really need Tipps for playing Axis and Allies. I am new and watched many of your Videos. Now I Play Online and I get crushed AS Allies every Time. How do I Play in the middle Game? Hope you can help me
Thanks for watching! For strategy help, I suggest checking out our Axis & Allies World Championship video series. You can find it a BoardGameNation.com. Good hunting!
For Destro's special ability, if the battle starts with 6 or more Joe units and after the first round of combat sustains losses to drop their forces below the 6 threshold, then his units would lose the +1 buff if he elects to continue combat, correct? Also, great job on the video. Keep up the good work, gentlemen!
cobra commander ability seems so much weaker than others since opponent gets to determine where the hit goes, would it be overpowered if cobra commander choose what unit got hit ?
I agree. It is very situational. Perhaps in conjunction with the Divebomb ability... CC could target the only cruiser in a group and stand land units trying to make for the 2 VP hex or the North Pole base. But, yeah, otherwise, Destro's and Snow Job’s abilities are much stronger. Thanks for watching!
The first 3-mins of this video was just a complete waste of my time. Just on with the facts of the game. I had to stop 6:18-mins in because I am not interested in any hex format game of Axis & Allies, nor am I interested in any Artic Circle type of nonsense game. The Rameriez guy is just annoying as heck and a 1-Hr. video is not for me. Renegade needs to try again and make something more tasteful and historic and not something based off of dolls kids played with back in the 1960's.
We had some fun with this video. Sorry that it wasn't your flavor. We are working on the How to Play for the upcoming North Africa game. That one might be more to your taste. Thanks for watching and for the feedback!
Well, if you don't like hex tile games, then so be it. There is some nostalgia in play, but it would be the action figures from the 80's, but that's probably irrelevant. It's just the A&A "engine", like Pandemic in Star Wars Clone Wars, the many RISK titles, and Love Letters. I like the game. I like the nostalgia. I'm not scared of hexes. I enjoy limited asymmetry.
I guess I'm wondering if people are putting it together that Hector Ramirez is a character played by Gary Blevins. Hector is a caricature created by the original GI Joe show writers of Geraldo Rivera. He is supposed to be ridiculous and over the top. Are people missing the joke?

Looks fun, interesting take, but I do worry about replayability. Great video presentation, though. I would like to try it out.

Fair point. Plus, I think people are already starting to make scenarios of their own.

Do you have a question?

That is correct. The count of Joe units and the effects are assessed at the start of each round of combat.
Thank you!
