Brilliant, Brilliant, Brilliant. Very smart all away around. The Deck, it's attached to, the wheels for mobility, the trailer hitch and lock. Choosing gas over diesel. Very quite, also like that parts are readily available. Nicely Done. Thanks for sharing. 😎.
Hey Dave and Karen-- Love this! I actually have the same generator for my coffee truck. I'm curious, about two things... how has this platform/carrier held up on the road with all that weight resting on top? And, where did you get those wheel jacks?
just bought a fifth wheel with 50 amp power along with the EU7000. i haven't used it just yet. my question to you is this. with an adapter to plug into the 30 amp receptacle, will this power up both AC unit?
From what we have experienced, from the 30 Amp / 220 Volt side of the generator, will run both ACs, but both AC units cannot start at the same time. You'll need to srart one and give it a couple of minutes before starting the second one.
Have you thought about making these and offering them for sale? I no longer have my fab shop to make one and would be very interested in buying one from you.
I’m considering buying one of these for my fifthwheel. My question is what pigtails or costume cable are you using to connect to the fifthwheel. Also are you using the 240 on the generator side?
We have a custom cable that goes into the 240 side of the generator. I created a cable consisting of a plug into the generator that is a male 30 AMP 125/250 Volt. The cable is a 4/C 10 AWG weather resistant. The plug going into the fifth wheel is a female 50 AMP 125/250 Volt. For the 50 AMP female plug, you can use whatever configuration you have on the power cable from your fifth wheel.
Are you wanting to know how tall it is from the ground sitting on the platform on the hitch (no wheels) to the top of the generator? or from the bottom of the platform to the top of the generator? or from the top of the platform to the top of the generator?
@@WattsOnWheels Hey there I to am curious about the height of your generator. Not sure if you still have this generator… But would love to know the height from the bottom of the generator to the top of the generator. There is zero information about this online regarding the height without wheel kit.
I was curious why you made it portable... is there really a need for it to be as portable as it is? Im still new to the RV things, so just trying to figure out the reasoning behind it.
No, it does not need to be portable. But...if you ever have to have the truck towed from the rear end, you would have to remove it and it weighs about 300 pounds. If I have to park the truck some place else in the campground, I can still have the generator with me if needed. Also, provides distance for the noise when running, although super quiet. Also, I use it for other projects and it just gives me more options and flexibility. Keep in mind, that your license plate really needs to be exposed too. :)
Watts On Wheels I installed a micro air 364 easy start 364 installation kit for RV rooftop ACs. Now my AC’s work great with my 7000is. I have 13k and 15k BTU ACs.

Another smart dude from Missoula!!
:-) thanks for watching

It has worked out very well for us. Thanks for watching.
The generator is very interesting. Watched many you tube videos on them. They look like the one to get. Thanks.
Have been very satisfied with our generator. Especially how quiet it is.
Beautiful idea
Thanks Sergio. Appreciate you watching and commenting.
Nice job. I just bought one, love it.
Awesome. Ours has been working great for over 2 years now.
Without the wheel kit is there more vibration from the generator? We are wanting to mount on on our tongue rack on our Travel Trailer
Doesn't seem to be. We run it with the wheels up on the back of the truck and there is no vibration. It has pretty good cushioned motor mounts.
Very cool. I need one too. What do you think the tongue weight is?
Total is about 300 pounds.
Daam! Hell of a deal! I paid $5,000 for mine. Home Depo
Bought it on sale 3 years ago. They have gone up a lot since then.
Good vid good info I mounted mine to rear of motorhome works great
Glad that worked for you...out of the way too. Thanks for watching.

Platform is solid and working great. Got the trailer jacks from www.trailer.com. They are weld on.

I'd love to, but since I'm on the road most of the time, it would be nearly impossible.
@@WattsOnWheels Thank you for the reply. Great video/idea. Happy trails. :)
Will this generator run on propane?
No, just regular gasoline. Thx for watching.

Can you tell me how tall it is without the wheels?

It is 24" from bottom to top of handle
No that will do the whole th8ng no problem it’s the wire that couldn’t going to the rv
Could be. Also, the batteries have to be recharged first too.
Ouch...I don't think those tires will stand up to highway use !!!!!
They'd incinerate in 10 seconds on the highway.😲

Dude, no… your RV’s do not have 30k BTU air conditioners. The biggest they make is 15k BTU RV ACs. Together they may be 30k.
That's what we meant. 30k if they both go on at the exact same time, which would be rare. Thanks for watching.

cummings onan is quieter and the cost saving of being diesel . ps I have 3 honda's
Hard to get any savings today with fuel costs. We really like our solar panels now.
