Considering how the max in the US anywhere is 85 MPH, unless dawg was in Texas he's looking at 25 over the limit, at the LEAST most likely he was in the 30 or 40 range. That's a reckless driving charge so he most definitely got rekt.
Leaving it on is also not the proper way to run radar. I was trained by the CHP on RADAR/LIDAR and there was a whole process to it. Leaving the radar running is a poor practice.

Two rules: 1) never speed when you are the only vehicle or one the only vehicles on the road, and 2) always have a high quality radar/ laser detector 😎

So I got pulled over and got a citation for going 61MPH on a 30MPH. I was speeding but I wasn't going over 50. I looked down to check my speed and saw 45 on the speedometer when I saw a Police Officer driving on the opposite direction and he seemed really far away. And I did slow down but still got pulled over for going 61. It really didn't seem that I was going that fast... since it was a really narrow road. Maybe I was just not so focused. But the gentleman that pull me over remained very professional. I just want to know if it might've been an error. Please answer
You let them do 85???? That’s the most I can do ON THE TOLL ROAD without getting pulled over (Speed limit 80) (I’ve done 100 before cause the flow of traffic)
yo digital, what happens if your radar accidentally clocks someone on the other side of the highway speeding just as someone on your side passes by doing the limit? Is it easy to tell when it's a false positive?
Draco Malformed That's when officer training can tell the difference. Officers can tell the difference just with experience. Training adds to that. Those are rookie mistakes and sometimes rookies do make those mistakes. It happened to me. A trained and experienced officer can spot the faster traveling vehicle.
Officers are taught how to track a vehicle. If they data displayed doesn't match watch you see, it is most likely "batching", or giving a bad reading. Radars are used only verify what you see.
When the pitch of the beep is going down is that the drivers seeing you and slowing down, or is that just how it sounds as they approach closer from behind?
Ok, so that unit’s sound card has the range of tones needed to play the theme from _COPS._ Low-key, I want to learn how to make a unit that would take the incoming radar signal and send back the theme from _COPS._ Absolutely illegal I’m totally aware, like federally and locally, but imagine how cool and silly that would be? Is it illegal to do it in my garage? 🤔
Where was this at? Because I was on a highway at night and it was around the same date and I saw some one go speeding by really fast then I saw a cop car go after them
More post more! Holy shit 105!... HOLY SHIT... That's well over 20 for you yeah? Love this... don't know why I think it's the whole sneaky factor and people just don't see you. What were you driving when you got him doing 105?
So how does this work? Is it picking up a large amount of electrical interference from the alternator of the other motorist? say like old mobile phones interfering with radios when getting texts and what not.
Dj Morgan it only detects reflected microwaves, so it's detecting something that is moving that may not be visible to the operator. I was on top of a bridge so it was getting cars on the lower level.
So how is it held up in court when the radar is flashing 55 then 34 then in the 60's is the radar not getting a complete reading so you just ignore those cars? Do you have to get a lock on or a solid number to perform a stop?
How do you ever catch up to someone going 110mph? Most police cars nowadays pratically max out at around 140mph. You probably loose 30+ seconds from the time he passes you until you even match his speed and start to make gains on him.
I got pulled on my bike doing 137 I was actually doing 160 but I guess by the time I hit the corner I slowed down a bit. It was a bad day. I should of ran, I would of got away easy but I got scared and slowed down as soon as I seen him on the side of the road. I didn't get arrested so I guess I should thank that cop.

I actually don't run RADAR all that often, but one acquires an immunity to the noise.
Doppler sound is brutal.
im about to become an officer, i kinda like it... it may be louder and more ear piercing IRL so i dont know .
You can turn the volume down. It gets to a point that you don't even need to look at the numbers, the pitch will let you know how fast they are going.
You get used to it after running it everyday...You pretty much tone it out until you hear that high pitch sound meaning someone is speeding.

Question is there a radar out there for police use that doesnt make that noise when in use that would drive me insane
I'm confused can they also use thier side mirrors with the radar or is he just pointing the camera at the side mirror 🤔🤔

I built a can that pops out chaff the moment radar detected.
