Thanks for posting. I have an R8, my 3rd Uniden. Here is what ticks me off…yes, I am thankful for the range, but the ramp up is TERRIBLE!! It’s like you go from no signal to OH MY GOD SLOW DOWN THERE IS A COP SUPER CLOSE and then a minute and a half goes by before you see the cop! That signal should have gradually increased, I don’t why the technology isn’t there.
That slow ramp up usually happens when there are hills and curves. Straight lines of sight, even with this little hill are more intense. I'm not complaining since that signal most likely was bouncing off of trees, and it was still a good pickup.

my r3 will pick up cops from like 6 miles
I don't know of any straight line 6 mile stretches of road around here.

This R8 can out detect an R3 . It is newer technology with LNA , I agree pointless statement. CoOl Story Bro
