Let the tears flow Lisa!!! This was good! I didn’t even think I needed this today but I did! My first encounter with sex was rape! I didn’t even think that whole ordeal bothered me until today! I’m the person EVERYBODY runs to for encouraging words and a life vest and on today this interview made my soul cry a little! I could relate to A LOT of what GooGoo talked about especially being unprotected by those who were ASSIGNED to protect me!!! This Was So Good and Therapeutic as I learn to absolutely LOVE the beauty that is Lisa!

I applaud her for her growth and learning to live with the fact that her daddy didn't like her much or showed favorites and her not being one of them, but that's something you would never be able to get pass. That's an unexplainable hurt that lies deep and without proper help or deliverance, it'll dictate how you move in life....real talk.

It’s a really simple way of using biblical tools to undo and renew the mind based on what you believe about yourself that does not agree with what God thinks about you
That would actually be a good episode, but those Ungodly Beliefs sessions are a minimum of three hours

Oh man, this topic right here, it actually took me days to comment. The reckless words spoken and heard pierce like a sword & can crush the spirit (Prov 12:18/Prov 15:4), but so can wise words bring healing, life and restoration. I pray for you and your son, God knew what He was doing when he sent him to you. Everything that Armani went through and heard affected his spirit and soul, both are wounded. The word of of God is the only thing that can deal with both(Heb 4:12) and you are going to have to deal with the spirit first, so the spirt can be strong enough to command the soul to align. This needs deliverance, a strong tower was built a around him with negative words and it caused a familiar spirit stronghold in him, you have to continue tearing it down and build a stronger tower which is the Word of God, that will keep him safe (Prov 18:10/Ps 107:20/ Ps 138:7/ Ps 121).
Words spoken or heard can never be forgotten, but they can be forgiven. With that being said, I would like to say as a woman & a mother, I stand in the gap for all mothers and say , Armani please forgive us. Please forgive the motherhood and womanhood that failed you and caused you harm. That should have brought you love instead of hurt, nurturing instead of harm, comfort instead of distress, warm/security instead of hunger & coldness, Peace instead of fear. God didn't create motherhood for harm, forgive us for misrepresenting what God has created for good. May God heal what heal and what broken motherhood has broken, and may He send you all the help you need, in Jesus Name. You are beautiful, your dark skin is beautiful, your big brown eyes are full of a bright future, your smile breaks the lie of the enemy, your bushy hair is the main that reminds you that you are royalty! Your destiny is bright and you son, are worth fighting for!!

Aww.. I love GooGoo and am very sad to hear about her dysfunctional relationship with her dad. I remember Tina confirmed their dad had favorites and Tina said she wasn’t one of his favorites also. So sad and I really wish that men would realize how their negative influence could impact their children ‘s life and prospectives. Our Father in heaven will never fail us like our natural dads on earth. God is a healer!🙏🏽❤️

@@keimanii2332 Children always have such unconditional love, but it is so sad when it is not reciprocated. I shared the same experience from my mother and finally understand I can’t change her dismissive feelings for me and that is her personal problem to deal with. I never felt good enough and thought something was wrong with me because I never received her validations and approval. Through much prayer and counseling, I finally know my value and worth. I am a gift and was never a mistake. I also now focus more on God ‘s tremendous love and others he has placed in my life that show genuine and sincere love. I am unbothered by the mistreatment because I am healing everyday. God’s allow this pain for growth and his purpose to out shine all of the negative. I am love by God .❤️

Reminding yourself of God’s truth when you EXPERIENCE negative/demonic thoughts about yourself is so IMPERATIVE. Especially as a child of God/believer. I had to learn that if the Bible tells me that I am NEW creation in Christ, & “I have the mind of Christ”, then those negative thoughts that come to my mind do NOT belong to me anymore and are NOT mine. I had to remind myself that ANY thought that contradicted what God said about me in his Word, it was NOT true and I would replace the lie with truth. Once I understood this, my life changed forever. Still implementing this strategy against demonic thoughts that try to attack my mind today. So good GooGoo. ♥️

I really really loved this podcast with GooGoo Atkins. I related to her childhood so much and those gems she spoke.....made me cry at work. When she said, " people like you when you like you"....I felt that.
I hate to hear parents treat kids this way and when they become elderly and sickly they expect the same kids to take care of them and treat them well. Smh. I enjoyed this interview.
I have admired her since she was on the Mary Mary reality show! You two have a genuine friendship and that was so cool to see in this episode. I love the work she's done on herself to accept who she is. I'm a social butterfly. I can talk to anyone! The devil used that gift that God gave me to try to destroy my view of myself. All of a sudden, I was being less social because the devil used people to label me a gossiper. And I was wearing that label proudly too! But one day, God spoke to my heart and showed me that I was not a gossiper, and the issue was with those people, not me! I am so grateful for that breakthrough because it set me free to be me! This interview was so refreshing, and I pray many hearts are blessed by it. Laterras, your letters are so deep! They speak to my heart! ❤

Don't allow negative words that weren't yours to get into your spirit. What you allow people speak over you can either keep you stuck in a negative cycle or move you into your purpose. Somethings are simply meant to be heard and let go.

Every single episode is hitting!! I used to be one of those people who was leery about adoption due to actual experiences with a loved one. God convicted me and changed my heart several years ago. There is a great need for adoption, specifically older children who are close to aging out of the foster care system with little to no hope in adulthood. As a former pediatric emergency nurse I’ve seen a lot 💔.
When you and Goo Goo talked about a hug from God, I recalled a time when I told God I really could use a hug. Later that night I was laying in bed when I felt a presence so close that I literally turned around and looked. It was so real. All I could do was thank God for the hug.
The part about affirming yourself had me in tears because I'm dealing with that now. I never felt enough and God has been going back and forth with me about comparing myself to others. Thank you so much for having GooGoo Atkins on here. I was asking God to just help with my thought patterns and my point of view of myself and a situation I was in this past year and God so came through with this episode. God is using you to do a great work and bless so many people and help people start the journey to healing and growing within themselves and get closer to God. Thank you Laterras and GooGoo...such a blessing!

This is funny because I don't know GooGoo, but we bumped heads and had words in a Christian singles group. 😂 I can't remember what it was. We just disagreed about something. I think she started it. 😂 I wouldn't watch this because it was her. I'm glad I watched it because this was a great interview, and she seems like a good person. I know who she is now. 😊 God's timing is impeccable.
I say EVERY WEEK that I'm NOT going to comment... every episode since the very beginning of this podcast, has spoken DIRECTLY to ME. They are my thoughts, they are my conversations, I align with them on the deepest level. I've loved Goo since the Mary Mary show I had NO IDEA we'd be sooo much a like... they called her Goo my family called me Goose...has NOTHING to do with our names lololol... after this I LOVE HER MORE!!! Ive experienced everything she's talked about... I tried to take my life as a child, I tried to stab my mother in her sleep as a child... devil told me the same thing he told her.... My mouth is big but I'm not destroying people with it...Holy Spirit gives me stuff to say and I say it... I've been a size 6 and been a 18 and at either size and all in between I STILL walk in a room and give the people what they want and LOVE TO SEE...🤭🙌🙏🏽😂Ive birthed 5 children, and I desire to give birth for my husband...and if I cant we'll adopt... I talked about DNA and how we never know how its gone show up in the children you birth... I love on the children mine or those connected to mine... and if you're in my presence guess what?! At that moment... YOU MY CHILD...At this point in the series I CANT CLAIM A FAVORITE episode... I love them ALL... I used to be like THIS IS WEIRD... but now I'm convinced the holy spirit is just talking to all of us at the same time with the same topics...#THYKINGDOMCOMETHYWILLBEDONE

Wow Goo Goo. I just got the same understanding. I was focused on the enemy without until I heard Pastor McClurkin say "the battle ground is you". I needed to attack the thoughts, not give them space, and not allow them to show up and roam freely. Attack them as soon as they arrive, think a different thought. Philippians 4:8. Think on these things. I needed to be different and conqueror it internally. I also listened to a Pastor Noel Jones sermon after that which guided me even more. My tactics are different. I also heard someone say if you give it place and allow it to do what it does, you just gave it an invitation to return. There are no more invitations to return. Make the thought unwelcome and not tolerate it.
I really Loved seeing GooGoo on your podcast today! She is very inspirational and a joy to watch. I’m definitely going to send this to my daughter to watch as well. Her honesty is so refreshing.💕🥰🌹

When you spoke of Armani saying he hears the negative words of his mother spoken against him I felt in my spirit that maybe he needs words of affirmations from a woman that he looks up to. Seeing as it was a woman who he looked up to that caused that pain. Just thought I’d say that.
