- Lost media is one of the most interesting subjects to make a video on so today let's combine that and Vocaloid to talk about unreleased Vocaloids!
These are Vocaloids that were in development or finished development but never released for the public to use. Hope you all enjoy. :)

Also, about the final song thing you talked about, there's a private vocaloid made for X Japan's late guitarist Hide. And it was for a song he wrote.

An English voice was planned but cancelled. I don't think she's getting one, she's not really popular and it's not likely she's getting any updates but if she does, that's great. But UNI has a confirmed V5 Append and English. (I know that in the video she said it was cancelled but was reopened.)

Not about unreleased VOCALOIDS, but people NEED to STOP saying that MEIKA Hime and Mikoto are “canonically Non Binary”. Having a character who’s gender is unconfirmed is NOT the same as having an NB character. You can see them as NB that’s fine. I see them as girls tho, since their voices are obviously feminine and the drawings of them are too, though I give them they/them pronouns.
But their voices are canon gender less.
anna ferns actually they’re put under the “feminine” category and sound feminine. The CHARACTERS have no confirmed gender. Non confirmed gender does not equal genderless

I really don’t believe in the other genders. Only male and female. I know that will offend people, but it’s the truth. You can’t just decide to switch like with gender fluid and I’m not calling you an it with non-binary. For me it’s either he or she.

Yuecheng and Chuchu were half-private just since their release. You needed to make one original song or two covers a year to get permission to use them. This scheme simply didn't work, and as a result, their company went bankrupt.
However, Chuchu got leaked, but I never told you anything~~

I'm sad about Ring and Lui, they looked adorable and I really wanted to mess around with their voicebanks but... oh well...
Also, while I appreciate the idea of vocaloids being used to recreate and rebirth deceased singers' voices on a fan level, as an artist I can tell you how incredibly terrifying the concept is. Our voices are already starting to be stolen and reused by AI programs and the like. IF (and that's a big if) there were a good middle ground to strike, it would put into place a very, very limited scope reward contract for the purposes of archival voice software. I would kind of refuse any other terms, myself.
i think the vocaloids made of deceased peoples samples are made Private.
@@ghoulchan7525 I kinda mean like, a Museum does a fundraiser and gathers film/audio clips they have, then puts out a "Hey if any company wants to do a voice archive for so-and-so, we can offer this much for a good quality one, plus some materials." With the strict no-commercialization of said data as a rule.
Private is good... but I guess the idea of it still being a company's still bugs me a little?

if they say made a Micheal Jackson one. it would be strange if everyone could just use Micheal's voice without a second thought. and maybe without the consent of his family.
Miku is a fictional character.. tho her voice provider is not. but she's being paid to lend her voice for the samples. she consented to have her voice be used for this purpose.
a deceased person of course doesn't have the say in this fact. thus should remain for private use only. or heavily restricted.
your museum example only works if they got someone to do the voice samples. and they wanted to be in that database.

@@LOVELIFETM Hi Love Life TM! I think I have an answer here. Yamaha didn't really try that with Gumi because Internet Co. tried to do their best to make Gumi a non-Miku clone with her own extensive and overall personality in her voice to rival Miku, unlike some like Stardust, Zhanyin Lorra, etc. but that does not mean these Vocaloids are not good individual singers (except Zhanyin Lorra because she's canceled). Gumi actually didn't have many marketing dollars behind her in the beginning, but by 201`, she outclassed Miku in terms of song volume, surpassing 1,000 songs on NicoNico in a faster time than Miku. Actually, Ring Suzune's design was by a contest winner named Muraichi, so it wasn't technically in the plan to make her look like Miku. But it is sad that Vocanext vanished. Personally, the concept of Miku clones is a bit over-zealous in my point of view. That's because you'd have to include IA, Gumi, SeeU, Stardust, Yuzuki Yukari, Lumi, etc, and in all honesty, looking at all of the "Miku Clones" it just means popularity, rather than by sound, design, or other things- although making a lot of the Vocaloids 16 is a bit weird when their voice providers are well over that, meaning they are indeed taking Miku's age to increase popularity among the youth because it just works. So you could definitely say that Miku is just too popular to the point that anything that even seeks to rival her is a clone because she influenced the market so much that people just expect another version of Miku over and over and over again because that's what sells. I will also say that is just one of many viewpoints on this matter, and if something was really ripping off Miku, I'm sure there would be a lot of backlashes, but I'm also sure that it would sell like hotcakes too. But after a while... people get tired of it and want something different, which is another reason why Vocaloid is becoming more barren in the development point. I hope this answered something you had because I have NO IDEA on concept designs for Vocaloids we have... might be something I need to look up though.

Now... this may be a little spammy and I don't want to encroach onto your channel, but I personally do have a video about Cancelled Vocaloids, about 7, and the only one from my list that you talked about was Lui and Ring. Others such as LUAN, with a demo, and LUCIA, Zhanyin Lorra, Big AL First & Second Development, and CV-04 are all ones that I personally could find that were not restricted (Vocaloids that were made, but just unable to be used by the public). I just bring this up because there is a lot of info on each canned Vocaloid that could be good if you wanted to make another video for your audience since you are bigger and I feel everyone needs to know about stillborn Vocaloids as to look into important facts about both the companies ideals & goals, YAMAHA's contingencies for financial restraints, and of course, the community opinion, which is what ultimately killed off LUAN & Lucia after the creator did a big NO-NO and attacked their tastes.

Hibiki Lui actually has a voice provider. And he has and Utau voicebank and a V4 voicebank and I don’t think ring was finished
no he does not. hibiki only has a fake voice provider for a fanmade utau voicebank. he has never been recorded nor has he ever been developed

That's a very spicy take saying Catalan is a dialect for Spanish. You probably did not intend to make it though. While Catalan is also a Romance language, it is separate from Spanish.
I'm not from Catalunya myself. It is just... a warning for avoiding potential discourse in your videos.
My mistake! I didn't research much into what Catalan actually is, and I honestly confused myself as someone who isn't very knowledgeable in other languages, so I honestly thought it was a dialect more than another language itself. Sorry about the mistake!
Take note Lu, VocaloidNEXT wasn't a company they were a Doujin circle, and typically Doujin circles that team up with big companies can lead to the Doujin circles quit working with the company due to development disagreements and legal battles can occur to.

Its very much a shame some of these Vocaloids never see the light of day. They looked to have innovative concepts and may bring new ideas to Vocaloid.
Heck I even created a fan voice of what Hibiki lui could sound like, but it only a concept.
I wonder if people would get in trouble if they made small changes to Hibiki Lui’s design, and released him as an UTAU…

It would be better if you showed more visuals of these vocaloids when talking about them, not just for a few seconds on the title cards.
Images are very scarce, sorry about that ^^; there's pretty much only 1 piece of art for these unreleased Vocaloids and I'm not comfortable using fan art for them since I've have difficulties finding the proper credit for the artists. (and I refuse to ever show fan art unless I can find the name of the artist to credit them)

It's a bit difficult. You have to sing everything for 3-5 seconds in the same tone as every recording. That's the way it is for CV anyway! I plan to record my Utau in a VCV voicebank which I'm sure will be even harder lol

A lot of those I can't talk about on RUclips anymore due to the COPPA situation. Those are series intended for a younger audience and although I am not intended for kids, the AI for RUclips could mistake me as a channel for children due to my voice and the subject matter I'm talking about. Not to mention that I want to avoid Elsagate recommendations on my videos (as my Anime based off classic books video was getting recommended baby videos).
While I could fight RUclips about it, I'd rather not deal with legal issues trying to prove for months that I'm not a channel for kids and meanwhile, you guys wouldn't be able to interact with me at all. I apologize for that :(

There is technically Alys, but she received a Alter/Ego voicebank after her Vocaloid one was cancelled.

Sooo, I JUST posted a little message under the comment talking about Hime/Mikoto, and why I find the genders communities annoying, IT WAS posted, I wanted to edit it and it's magicaly gone ?... Plz don't tell me it's you, no answers to talk, no warnings, even if I nuanced myself after, no nothing, just the usual "hipity hopity you don't agree with me I delete your opinion" ? :I I guess it's definitely that, I'm highly disappointed if that's the case, and THIS KIND of shiet is what made me so salty against the said communities... I legit said after that this is fine as long as in the end, you're educated about the said categories you pretend to be from. And liike, you can't deny that (social) genders are just a social construct, or you yourself don't know what you're talking about. I'm really sorry for high amount of salt, but I didn't wake up salty one day just to upset everybody. I hate to do that, and I wouldn't bother usually, even with people thinking that social genders are a mandatory rule and butchering their own lifes (and yep there is a lot) but oh well, as long as it's THEIR life that they are butchering. But nope, now everyone who thinks differently is a massive danger to them, and I can't even enjoy my "robot-music" in peace anymore without having to endure massive debates about a fictional character's concept of life. I do know from my personal experience as a RUclipsr who uploads, LGBT topics is often something RUclips tries to censors so I'm guessing that RUclips themselves deleted the comment? Something like this happened before when some people I knew at the time were testing the algorithm of comments on RUclips. I looked in my spam and "comments under review" sections and I didn't see your comment anywhere so I legit have no idea what the hell happened :/
Either way, I didn't see any problem with bringing to attention that Mikoto and Hime are genderless. It's a unique thing to them much like how Flower is also genderless!
