    This is a GREAT video! You have shown how to not give up on a painting and to experiment with it instead. Your process is so inspiring. Every time I watch you I learn something new. You are so honest and open. This piece came out great!

    This feels like the most awesome experimental watercolor I’ve ever seen. I love how you layered the paint, used negative space and mixed use of opaque and translucent colors. This was a very exciting process. I’m very inspired. Thank you, CeeCee!

    I love watching your videos CeeCee, I adore water colour and you just inspire me to play. We hear so much these days about intuitive painting and to be honest that turns me off, I’m not very intuitive obviously, but this is exactly what you have just done, and I LOVE it!!!! Thank you for the inspiration and the daily morning ritual I now follow, watching you create. ❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏🙏

      thank you, Kim, for this sweet comment. honestly, painting intuitively is something that prefer. when i start with a very precise plan, i sometimes set myself up for a lot of frustrations. so unless i'm doing something for someone or a specific goal in mind, most of my work start very intuitively.

    I didn't even read the title of this video, (mainly because I pull it up in full view instead of the condensed view), but when you were adding those pinks at the bottom right, I spotted that profile right off the bat! You totally fascinate me when you do this whole thing of going from nothing without a plan and you come up with something that is as amazing as this!! Wonderful! Love this!! Thanks so much for sharing this lovely piece!!

      thank you so much, Kat! yes, i always get a kick when an intuitive painting turns into an intentional one. doesn't always happen quickly and that's ok too. some pieces are destined to remain abstract.

    Even though I have enjoyed every one of your vids, I don't often comment. To be honest, I don't really care for this finished piece. Not as an insult....just honest opinion. However, I do learn something from every vid. This vid was an intense learning experience with a variety of techniques.👍 When you pulled out the profile.....well...I just saw that as genius! I enjoy how you come to the camera without a specific plan of where the paint, water and canvas will lead.....and you listen as it speaks to you. THAT is the sign of a true artist!
    Thank you for sharing these events with us. I am inspired with every visit. Not to copy but to listen to where MY paints, water, brush and canvas may lead me.🎨👍🖍😁

    I love your work and have been going back and watching old videos. I just found this one. I really like it. I am so glad you dealt with the large oval on her face. It was bothering me to and I was wanting to ask you how you would adjust it, and then you did. Nice. You have inspired me to do watercolor, I have always loved doodling and the combination is the best of both worlds. Thanks

    Ah, the ol vase-vs-face conundrum! I saw a hand initially minus a thumb.😳 the bumps were the knuckles and the forehead was the index finger. But when you added the blue, the face became clearer. Art is in the eye of the beholder, right? And the shell pink and rose madder are fantastic together. What would be comparable to the rose pink in Daniel Smith or Windsor Newton?

    • @creationsceecee
      @creationsceecee  6 лет назад +1

      you know, i saw the hand minus the thumb when i was editing (because my footage is filmed upside down)!!! wow, never thought someone would pick up on that. i didn't see it when i was painting. i'm confused as to which paint you're asking: I'm guessing it's about the shell pink -- i honestly have not found an equivalent in the Daniel Smith line (and i have their dots cards). Holbein has a shell pink but it's a bit cooler than the one i use which is Shinhan. and Daniel Smith has a Rose Madder Permanent which resembles the one i used which is a Winsor and Newton.

    I saw the face right away and was hoping you would do something with it and you did! I tried with the same colours but couldn’t see anything. 🧐That is the hardest part for me!

    • @creationsceecee
      @creationsceecee  6 лет назад

      thank you, Betty. unfortunately, this type of work (intuitive as opposed to intentional) yields different results from one painting to another... especially from one person to another. because nobody has the same manner of painting. so if you don't see anything right away, maybe the piece is telling you that it needs to remain an abstract and just go with that! i got lucky and happen to see the face at which point my painting became an intentional one. but it's not something you can push. it just happens... and sometimes it doesn't. and that's fine too.

    I'm only 4 mins in to the video and already I'm in awe of the watercolour magic you're creating! What kind of water do you use with your paints, plain tap water? distilled water? fancy bottled water like Evian or Fiji? I've been thinking of trying distilled water because I know there's lots of minerals in my tap water.

    • @creationsceecee
      @creationsceecee  6 лет назад +1

      thank you so much, Rian. i usually use tap water unless i'm making something for my Patrons or a commission. then i just grab from the filtered water from my refrigerator water dispenser. no Evian or Fiji for my budget LOL

    • @creationsceecee

      watercolor paints is NOT a permanent medium. it can always be reactivated with water, no matter how long ago it was painted.

    • @melodief3848
      @melodief3848 6 лет назад

      creationsceecee thank you for your reply...sorry i didn’t ask that question properly. I have been acquiring Daniel Smith brand and love, but I thought for some strange reason that some colours are rated to be permanent (unliftable) once dry and some colours are not, depending on the source. Oh....maybe i am getting confused with lightfastness? If so sorry to ramble, and much thanks.
