The idea that Amanda was the one who saved him in the dumpster is beautiful and tragic as Will's mom died in childbirth and he was left alone.
From that point on, she knew she watched over him since that faithful day. Can't wait for season 2.

Love this show for a lot of reasons, one of them is the care and attention given to the complicated relationship between Evelyn, Will, and Faith. It is shown clearly over the season both why Faith respects her so deeply, and also why Will was very much in the right to have investigated her, leading to her dismissal.

I rewatched the whole season and i love the subtlety in foreshadowing this moment.
The episode when will went missing in the back of the white supremely racist men's truck and then seeing Amanda's concern.
The episode with the white little boy and will asking the social worker if it was a "good home" they wanted to place the little, white boy in. Amanda's discomfort at hearing how will was abused. Her guilt.
All so very gut-wrenching.
