I like these winder series. Very informative for understanding the variations for code compliance. Two friends of ours are asking me to help them figure out a new stairway to a new room in their attic. I think a winder may be a viable solution to consider when I go look at their condo.

In some cases, doesn't the walkline tread of each step need to be within 3/8" of each other and made consistent? If so, how would you do that?
If the inside edge and the walkline are not parallel, how do you measure the 12" over?
