Well we certainly don't doubt you
Appreciate it sir!
❤
Waah 😮sir
You’re the content creator that made hybrid athlete lifestyle seem achievable and realistic. You weren’t always an endurance athlete but more into strength (like me) but you built yourself into one. You’re constantly outdoing yourself and setting new goals. I haven’t even ran my first marathon yet but watching your content I know that one day I’ll compete in my first triathlon and that once I do, I’ll have an even bigger goal and get doing more than I ever thought I could. You’re the blueprint. You can do this!!
Fergus. As an Edinburgh resident who once ran into you on a run and didn’t realise until it was too late. You are a madman. Yo got this
That was awesome, really appreciate how open you are with the struggles. You got this!
Thank you sir! Appreciate the support 🙌🏼
Don't mind screw yourself, break the distance up into more manageable chunks to achieve. That's how I got the Fatdog120 done last year which came to 207km with 8360m of elevation gain. Depending on when you re doing this, I actually found with a high lumin head lamp and with the coolness of the night I actually moved fast and over took a lot of people at night. You ve got it buddy.
Respect Fergus for keeping it real! Your channel viewers definitely don't doubt you 💪I've got my first long (for me) trail run on Sunday and its quite reassuring to hear someone with so much experience share similar feelings to the ones I've had at the back of my mind, so thanks for that 🙏
Head down push forward my dude 🤙🏻 you’ve got this!
Keep going bro, inspiring the masses 👊🏾
Great video! Thanks for this, such an awesome challenge. Can't wait to see the video of you completing it.
Curious about what footwear you're using? Looks like you've got a mix of tarmac road as well as muddy trail to run on?
Obviously you will kill it! You are my new favorite athlete of 2024. You are pushing me to be a better athlete for sure!
What a fantastically honest video. It’s made me feel genuinely less intimidated for my 12 hour bad boy. Can’t wait to see you smash a pint of Guinness at the end mate
Brilliant words encouraging to get outdoors. Best of luck!
Your a savage.
Got this in the bag for sure.
You're a true inspiration 😮
/fool - we’ll find out 😂
Hi!
Recently started watching your channel. I'm really curious how you manage to train so much endurance whilst still getting those high quallity sessions in power training? I my self live in Norway and do mostly train climbing, but i allso really enjoy xc skiing during the winter and allso some runing etc. in the summer time. The only problem is that i find that every time i get excited to train skiing or running and start doing it multiple times a week with some intervalls and longer sessions, i notice that it quickly dammages my climbing sessions where power and max strength is the most important. The quallity drops because i don't have that peek enegy surplus that is important for max strength training. Any good tips?
Chris Ryan's escape from Iraq to the Syrian border on bravo two zero was 300ks, and that took him 3 or 4 days if I remember correctly.
A mental challenge. Having followed your stuff for a few years now im sure you will smash it!!!
Good reference point! Thank you 🤝
Are “squares bars” rice crispy treats?
Even when it's cloudy you still get a lot of health benefits from being outside, besides the fact that your brain gets more activity when you are running on the ground versus being indoors on a treadmill
It’s a cheat code for sure (which should be obvious!)
Fergus, what shoes are you running in?
Good luck
Many thanks 🫡
Asthma Spray at the beginning of the run?
Fergus is just a specimen. It’s that simple.
Just stubborn 🤷♂️
Great video, thanks for sharing. Are you planning to complete the 250km in barefoot shoes?
Nope! Don’t do any running in barefoot shoes, but wear them 90% of the time (aside from formal wear) day-to-day
Thanks for replying. What shoe are you planning to wear?
You can. You've done ultra-endurance before. It's just one modality this time rather than 3, which is harder in some ways, but more meditative in others.
Accept that there will be beauty. And suffering. Then go have a talk with your gods in the mountains for a couple days.
We believe in you!
Besides, doing scary stuff is...good for you...generally 😂😂
It's good to be intimidated
That iPhone footage was actually not bad.
1's and 2's. that's all it is. How does one eat an elephant?
One bite at a time.
That’s it, simple as that 🤝
Are you doubting yourself?
I do not doubt yourself.
I just Don t care...
Run? Almost nobody can.
Drag your a$$ 250km to the finish? Absolutely.
You got this!
Oh I’m walking the uphills (and nailing squares bars as I go!) 🙌🏼
I'm used to doing distance with heavy weight (70-110lbs), though nowhere near the same distance as you. Rule is always walking uphill and jogging downhill.
Flat sections are according to the mood of the moment (and if someone passes to motivate me to follow their pace 😅)
Fergus Ive struggled with various ,not insignificant challenges of late, without going into detail.
But found your videos around Christmas time, and Im back to running 20 or so kms a week, and strength training the days I dont run.
Not just that, but taking a keen interest in what Im eating to fuel the activity.
All that to say, youve got this, and Im looking forward as always to your updates.
Keep killing it buddy @ferguscrawley95
I DNFed a 100 miles in September, set me back and I still don’t feel like myself. Don’t fail
