- Sky News host Amanda Stoker says Labor went to the election promising to make aged care “better” with 24/7 nurses, and yet staffing shortages and “ineffective workarounds” have rendered this promise broken.
Aged care is ripping off the old people of their houses.
It is not only staffing shortages causing the problem. University trained nurses are not always cut out for nursing ( its often about the glory of the uniform) they shun Aged care nursing.
Another million dollar project going to waste. Pay the nurses a better wage. Get rid of bully managers, give better incentives to GPs to attend their patients in the NHs.
Aged care promise broken, reduce your power bill promise broken.
How about not making us pay 25% MORE for electricity
.....and all the rest!
It is tragic when the elderly have to rely for their needs, on the assistance of people who don't speak their language.
During Covid, there were age care workers who had to work in more than one nursing home because they couldn't get full time jobs.
Mother Terese Nurses speak Bengali one of the 13 official languages in INDIA,But they are trained to speak the language of death and dying in somebodies arms. Man or woman on the streets of Calcutta is a refugee with no family or home. When death visits the these nurses hold the heads of the dying in their bosom.
You are so right. My wife is involved with aged care, and she said finding people is difficult.
Another issue is the elderly come from a different time with different ideas. The little old lady that needs a shower , toilet, and feeding, revealing all has an issue with a black going into their home for the service. It's the way they grew up ,they can't be expected to change.
The SWAMP has to be drained and SANITISED and the CLOWN p.m. FLUSHED away.
Well I'm very surprised....😮I thought Albo would wave🧙♂️ his magic 🎉 wand, and suddenly, he would have 30,000 extra aged care, registered nurses..... 🤔 Could it have been just a promise to get votes??? 😂😂😂
All Labor promises are just BS promises to get elected, Labor has no intention to make their promises happen because there is no penalty on them to do so.
Perhaps he could stop requiring people to have boosters before they can work?
@@kellysouter4381 A brain booster for you would be a waste.
No doubt he will bring more fucking indians.
Never mind older Australians, it's only The Voice that matters, and of course the WEF Agenda!
Homes for the aged = Temporary holding facilities for Soylent Green
WEF knows more about Australian economy then most Australian citizens Grim isnt it
Let down after let down
With many more letdowns to come........
Aged care levy= a getting old tax.
Yep, next new tax Labor will bring will be a breathing tax.......
If it moves tax it or kill it & eat it !!!
Here we go again Labor employing more faceless over paid bureaucrats so when it all goes wrong they can blame someone else as usual.
End the outdated mandates might be a no brainer start to fixing lack of staffing.
So True......Nothing more to add to that
Spot on.
No brainer stuff - perfect for you 😂😂.
@@countyorga764 your Government tax payer funded troll contract ends at the end of this month.
They don't have a staff shortage In the public services .😇
Have to find jobs for the faithful branch members
or people wont get spiked to work in aged care
Irrelevant, they were never going to fulfill their promises in the first place.
So true never believed it would happen so many people fell for it though.!!!!!!
This is all the ALPs Fault
No its not, it's Dan Andrews' mate, Mr. Nobody's fault..........Labor will always find someone else to blame for their failures.
It most definitely isn’t. The “1997 aged care act” privatised aged care and lowered staffing and nursing care ratios. You are factually and demonstrably wrong.
Oh really?? Surprised? No!
What promise has albonese kept?
SPOT ON...PUT AUSTRALIAN FIRST.....
We will have more nurses, where will they come from, well we will just close down the nursing homes if there aren't enough.
My wife is an aged care worker and is srill waiting on a pay rise promised last year and they have just been told it won't be back paid!
Watching Albo and his government unravel was just a matter of time. Start planning your next career move Albo. Failure as a PM.
Keep whining, it's entertaining 👏👏.
Its a pay shortage not a staff shortage.
Aged care should not be an opportunity for profit. We have public schools and hospitals. We should have public nursing homes.
The elderly don't need the tax concessions that some are given.
Really. When old folk go to Aged Care the State Trustee gets their Pension. The Elderly get nothing. They;re not even aloud to buy a lousy pair of P.J's.
@@horstwestpfahl2459 Is this the situation in state run nursing homes, or do their pensions go to private operators?
@@chriswatson1698 State Trustees are State Gov. Run. I don't really know the answer. Welfare told NCAT that I can't take care of my wife So they simply warehoused her. It's nothing more than a Prison system for the aged, Understaffed..
He can't remember , its not my fault, he has plenty of excuses.
How about ending mandates, that would fix the problem
Yes. Should I be surprised how many commenters here fail to see the real problem? It's why there are staff shortages in every industry across the board.
@@fringedweller5425 they want to get people from overseas so that they’ll vote for him, they don’t care about Australians
WE NEED MORE NURSES....NOW..!!
My Mother in Law just spent a night waiting for a bed......she has a heart issue, requiring immediate medical intervention....hmmmm, poor old chook. Stuck in a hallway....Cairns Base Hosp.
Their idea of aged care is making assisted death more readily available.
In the meantime, conditions are to be ignored until the elderly become so ill, all they want to do is die. This is their economic solution to an ageing population. It is very purposeful.
ALP lies
The model is no longer fit for purpose as aged care trends to more support for less time. Hospice is a good description.
Of course
*Truth-tellers are silenced, while the liars have their voices amplified📢 Free Assange!!!*
WHAT ! Labor breaking a promise ??? well raise my rent !
The Government cannot afford such a policy and nor can the individuals, unless they have vast funds, if a tax relief was given to children there would be a much higher level of interest by kids to help. 😊
Then they shouldn't have promised it
Iam Samuel from Uganda, I hold adiploma in clinical medicine and community health with four years of experience in health care setting. Iam so much interested in extending health services.
Cue even higher immigration 🙄
shortage ? or lack of will by the homes to pay the right wage,, what's the difference between a menopausal carer who only works the hours they need to get the unemployment department of their back and a full trained nurse who is qualified to save lives ? this about $$$$$ and obedience you have had to have been obedient to get the jab to get the job..
We have shortages because the unjabbed are not allowed to work. It's not just nursing.
Maybe tax wealthy people.
fool me once...
😂😂😂😂😂 we're not bothering to have to use pronouns, tolerate predators in frocks, better home on the lucrative dole
levy the gaming industry for aged care
Really there needs to be a standard system that for a 40 strong platoon of elderly in a home there is a nurse that's the sargent, that for every 45,000 elderly in homes there needs to be a lieutenant general psychiatrist,
There need to be three major generals of 15,000 elderly people each, 9 majors each taking care of a regiment of 5,000 elderly, 45 lieutenant each with a battalion of elderly, 225 captain each with a company of 200 elderly then the sargent nurse gets 40 elderly platoon,
That aged care facility need to be purposely built to house prehaps 200 elderly in each place so there would be a captain doctor with 5 sargents nurses
As many lieutenant general as it takes the more we have the better objective legitimate criticism or praise
They are survivers to be treated as such
It's about one lieutenants pool of 1,000 elderly battalion surviving better than another lieutenants pool of 1,000 elderly battalion, it's about massive casualties everyone dying yet it's about surviving longest.its about outdoing the other battalion as a battalion
A lieutenant generals system is a triage system to understand that the major general system has 15 battalion an that's interaction with every other battalion other than your own over a fortnight separating each battalion by processing one battalion each day of the fornight in order creating fortnight division between battalion, so there is triage methodology as not to double handle transaction that in a lock down situation with Ebola that interaction an society isolation would need to be maximize, that you don't double handle getting the milk because two transactions is twice as much chance as getting Ebola that triage doesn't stop the doctor getting sick yet it minimize transaction an transmissive contact, now I don't know how that would work without each battalion being dependent on the other for a two week deal to process what a battalion has got, that it's about battalion coexisting without unnecessary personal involvement beyond a triage process yet the lieutenant general has that system built in with three major generals cycling that that for objective criticism or praise
The major general with 15,000 in a situation each battalion is a provider of something even if that's just more troops because of casualties in a biological warfare situation or epidemic it's a triage system so every battalion is a supply chain serving every battalion with what it provided over a fortnight even if it's just supplying troops that the transaction are kept to a minimum with isolation period between them where goods could be quarantine further in warehouse if there was transmissive concerned with something that has a shelf life longer than a month like people that could have to be quarantine, there is only one way in to it an one way out yet it's a structured system that takes care of daily build up somewhere
It must be such an interesting and easy job, i’m sure thats y people in developed countries dont want to do it😂 hence the staff shortage.
No we want our junglegyms
bak otherwise go away :(
How about their family look after them lole happens in many other countries.
Well Ian, you want it without being a political football and "Do it in a de-politized way", Yet all I heard from you was Dutton, Dutton, Dutton you hypocrite playing the Albo game!!!!
