  • Hi again! Come join me today as I pop open a bottle of wine and share my honest thoughts on the UBC Sauder School of Business, where I currently study at. I am in my fourth year specializing in Supply Chain and Accounting, and will be graduating next May. I think I was fortunate to enter UBC at a time of reform and was lucky enough to not have experienced any forms of discrimination and so you will notice that I have lots of positive things to say about the school. Disclaimer: Everyone experiences the school (or any school really) in a different way and so you might not agree with what I have to say, and that is totally valid & okay! I just wanted to create a space for open dialogue :) Anyways, let me know what your thoughts are down below (also super sorry for the poor lighting quality, I filmed this in the evening)

    Hey I’m in grade 11, I’m really interested in finance, accounting, and economics. I’m thinking of getting into Sauder, so you have any tips of what to do in high school?

      Hey Sam! I definitely recommend getting involved in extracurriculars, whether it may be in sports, music., student council, clubs, work. In your application to UBC, they are going to ask you to write about experiences that shaped you. You could expect questions on teamwork, problem solving, leadership, etc., and so having extracurricular experiences will help make your application stand out!

    Hey, just got accepted into Sauder. I wanted to ask if it is possible to finance your education through the co-op? For international students, the tuition is really high

    • @KatrinaKwong

      Co-op is a short term work placement that does not coincide with your studies and so I don’t think it is a sustainable way to find your education. It can help you, seasonally, but you will have to find financing from other sources while you are taking classes. I would consider looking into student bursaries and/or loans, and this should be found on your UBC SSC page, under the Financing option! I think there are also academic advisors who could help you figure out your finance plan! Best of luck :)

    Hi, what mark is required to get to get into Sauder?

    • @KatrinaKwong
      @KatrinaKwong  3 года назад +1

      I believe the minimum average to get in is 85%, but back in 2017, the actual entering average was ~95/6%
