Ave Maria is a work of art, and the way he sings it, was made especially for him by Igor Krutoy. Definitely you should react to that. May I also suggest you check another song, written and composed by Dimash himself. It is called UNFORGETABLE DAY, but you must see the Gakku concert version. It has subtitles if I reccal correctly. I am not going to spoil the surprise, but what he does there is something amazing!
dimash is one of a select few vocalists that have an incredible ability to translate emotion (& therefore, meaning) to whatever song they're singing, regardless of the native tongue of the listener. i'll never in a million years forget the first time i heard "SOS"; absolutely zero idea what anything meant but my god, the weight of the words hit me right in the gut & i cried endlessly, feeling every word i still didn't understand but did at the very same time. of course, enjoying the same song with good subtitles was also incredibly enjoyable & brought a new level of appreciation for the song...but the feelings remained for me, regardless. ♥️

The interesting Vocal style Dimash used towards the end of the song is called a vocal trill which is a classical technique and is the least familiar of the vocal manoeuvers. A singer with an even, rapid trill is a rarity. The director of the Rossini Opera Festival, Alberto Zedda has opined in interview that the "widespread technical deficiency", the inability to trill, is a source of "frustration and anguish". But of course Dimash does it to perfection and it’s wonderful that he’s introduced this classical technique into a pop song for the benefit of the non-classical world.

Dimash sings a song about lost love, and every part of it makes up a song (including ethnically stylized lament for lost love), and not suddenly in this song he sings about something else (about a long deceased singer). What a crap!

Ave Maria is a work of art, and the way he sings it, was made especially for him by Igor Krutoy. Definitely you should react to that. May I also suggest you check another song, written and composed by Dimash himself. It is called UNFORGETABLE DAY, but you must see the Gakku concert version. It has subtitles if I reccal correctly. dimash is one of a select few vocalists that have an incredible ability to translate emotion (& therefore, meaning) to whatever song they're singing, regardless of the native tongue of the listener.
i'll never in a million years forget the first time i heard "SOS"; absolutely zero idea what anything meant but my god, the weight of the words hit me right in the gut & i cried endlessly, feeling every word i still didn't understand but did at the very same time.
of course, enjoying the same song with good subtitles was also incredibly enjoyable & brought a new level of appreciation for the song...but the feelings remained for me, regardless. ♥️
