- In this video, we take a look at 3D ACA 510. 3D ACA 510 PREMIUM RUBBING COMPOUND is infused with a revolutionary new Alpha Ceramic Alumina (aluminum oxide) is a low heat, high speed leveling abrasive that will correct the most challenging applications. This premium engineered compound will effectively remove sand scratches from hard clear coats in the shortest amount of time. 3D ACA 510 PREMIUM RUBBING COMPOUND's formula is designed to work with WOOL or FOAM pads. This premium Rubbing Compound works well with a dual action polisher. However, for faster performance, a rotary polisher is preferred.

Prepare the surface by sanding it with the sandpaper of your choice. Set the rotary polisher speed between 1,000 and 1,500 RPMs. Apply a few small, dime-sized drops of 3D ACA 510 and work a 2' x 2' area at a time by using a 3D Wool Pad or 3D Foam Spider Cutting Pad. Move polisher slowly back and forth with overlapping motions until correction is complete. After sanding scratches are eliminated, remove any remaining residue with a clean microfiber towel.
Finish the job by applying 3D ACA 520 Finishing Polish with a 3D Finishing Foam Pad.

What is the most aggressive cutting compound you have used?
Probaly some crazy Ardex sand in a can. The manager at the car was rubbed the paint off a section of the hood of his BMW years ago - by hand.
He had to get it re-sprayed. 😂
The heaviest I use daily is ACA500, Megs M110, or Jescar Correcting Compound. I always go back to those. I really do love them so much.

Chemical guys came with new fast cut C4. I am not a fan of chemical guys at all, but it works very well, and the price is OK. The thing i like about it is it gives very high gloss too. The price is good too.
The second one is 3M industrial fast cut , and it does, plus, gives a very gloss. The product you are showing is a little pricey. I always look for the price too. Now a days people are not willing to pay as it used to be. As always, thanks for all the videos you post. Great help for rookies like me.
Always and I mean always...listen to the shop manger
Brian, I would love to see you do a thorough representation of 3D ONE.
Take it through your old (or this new on, or both!) compound test, then take it through your polish/finishing test.
You've featured it so much on this channel, and a lot of us fans of yours love it too. I use it myself almost daily.
Anyways, just a thought.
Thank you for the upload! I will be adding this ACA510 to "list".
Definitely looking forward to more on this series. And with the approval of the shop manager, there is nothing else to think about.😂 🐶
Nice 2 see that when a company actually is truthful in their claims..
Great help for a rookie like me. Very impressed with how easy it looks. Thanks for a great video
8 out of 10? You got a near perfect finish on 2 passes from 1000 grit with a dual action. That Alpha Ceramic makes those short passes the difference. On hard paint you don’t even need a second step.
I’m heavily eying 3D one they seem to make quality products
Enjoy all of the 3D products Brian.
I like 510. It does cut hard paints really nicely and as with all the 3D compounds it smells great, kind of a fresh lotion fragrance. In all honesty ive not had a 3D compound that i dont like, 3D ONE is a superb all rounder, so versatile and good for soft troublesome sticky paints.
Love the 50/50 pads!! What do you like better, this or Papa cut? Thanks Brian for this my friend!!
I love the 510. Sometimes I even add a little to my 3d Speed to get a little more cut from it.
Excellent video and presentation as always Brian. Like you mentioned definitely nice to have a good cutting compound in your arsenal. Majority of the time I’m definitely reaching for a polish or all in one.
I personally like the aca 500 better myself. I feel 500 has a longer working time, finishes slightly better all while cutting at the same speed.
Aca 500. I like the 510.
3D products are pretty good. Having said that, what's the main difference between this compound and ACA 500? Is the company just trying to sell more products with a different label on it? I really like ACA 500. I'd try 510 if it's a world changer.
Thank you for the review. It helps more than you know. Bark bark.
Exactly the same question we have, is it more aggressive than ACA 500 which we love!
3D ACA 500 X-TRA Cut Compound is the wool pad version of 3D ACA 510 for shops that prefer and use wool pads when cutting with a rotary polisher.
@dlabmobiledetailing thank you!
@@dlabmobiledetailing Its rather confusing as i had a bonnet with a very hard clear and the 500 on a wool pad was hardly touching it. The 510 on wool pad did the job though. I use both compounds with wool and foam and they both work well with either although the 500 has a longer open time but the 510 deffo cuts faster on rock hard clears.
Aca510 dries faster than aca500
Awesome video and product review good friend
Nice 3D is pretty solid
Awesome video, i will buy this polish
Awesome vid Brian!! I like a good cutting compound.. but like you say.. ya just done use it much anymore..
Very impressive product. Can this b used on gel coat?
Haven't tried ACA-510, but ACA-500 worked very well on gelcoat with rotary + woolpad.👍
One compound that I'd be interested in seeing tested, is the new(ish) Koch Chemie H9.02. It's supposed to have a little more cut than the previous H9.01
Koch h9 02 is good, but 3m xtra cut plus still better. From 3d i only have sample bottle of aca 500 extra cut, but i will buy a larger bottle in the future, paired with wool on a rotary folowed by foam with polish/or fine polish paste provides a perfect finish, tried on my mothers car opel astra g 2006. Though i feel like the paint was not hard, maybe medium soft. 3d one is also a very good product.
Just a random question: What kind of air compressor do you have? I need one that will continuously run a at full PSI but will not break the bank.
Can we use this pad on rotary?
Doesn't it grind immediately through the clear coat
Why don't you use rotary instead of da in your tests? Rotary is much faster..

Meguiar's Ultimate Compound
Wasn't impressed with the 3D rhe meguiars M100 pretty much does same thing and faster
