@Peet Kotze not all. Comedy was better. More family shows, which i miss. Today we have a better selection of documentries and adult orientated shows like peaky Blinders, dexter, better call Saul which they couldn't match back then
I. Would just like to thank them for all their hard work making these sketches and making our miserable little lives a little bit more enjoyable thanks guys and God Bless 💞🏴🤘✝️💞✝️💕😘🙏🏻🏴🤘
I always found this sketch very true. I remember my mother marching into the butchers when I was a kid to give out about ribs with no meat. The butcher saw her coming and disarmed her immediately, "hello Mrs K, howz the young lad, a couple of chump chops here for ya and Tommy (my Dad), and a few bones for the dog"......"now what about a nice bit of liver? eh?"........end of.......attack headed off at the pass....
Remember 2002, Ant & Dec the northern nancy boys were has been's when invited as " celebrity guests" for the final run of the Middlesborough transporter bridge in Auf Wiedersehen Pet series 3.
Good question. The individuals continued to work in small TV parts but significantly in Theatre. Norman worked full time in 2016 and 17 with Rocky Horror and Hairspray. He also had his Poker Channel job. Gareth also works in Theate and other small rolls. As for the pairing under the Hale and Pace name, I have two theories, their shows were very high energy. It must have taken a toll. It is a British tradition to return to Theatre. Also the PC brigade was at its peak in the 80s and 90s, as Benny Hill found out. I suspect people were not happy with the Microwave cat scene, and the pair basically gave critics the middle finger with the microwave baby scene. Broadly speaking, when you do this sort of stuff you can rub the wrong person up the wrong way. Yesterdays underling can be todays decision maker as the adage goes.
Gee, Hale and Pace saw the future of the UK back then. If the butcher was a terrorist then they were spot on, just don't do it again, more steaks? Hale and Pace rock!
These two were top of the game in the 90s
Before Mr.Beab
I remember watching the first show. They were state of the art comedy. Still funny now.

@@shaz2761 Today shows is just pure junk. Back then it was clean humour and funny, this needs to return ASAP to the UK television.
Late 80s as well.

Mr Plummery & Hillary Briss, my 2 favourite butchers 🥩🥓🤪
And do I detect an early Hilary Bliss from "League of Gentlemen" here
Gareth Thomas, definitely.
Has to have been an influence
Briss
Coupled with some corporal Jones. He also used to chip in some extras on top of rationing allowances
It's hilarious because every step of the way we all know exactly what's going to happen LOL

He observed, prepared and engaged a perfect plan of de-escalation
How I admire our nation's butchers and the diplomatic work they do
Great duo. Bring 'em back and someone show Ant n Dec the way out..please!

@Warren Baldwin "Cockney prick" hardly, they claim to be a cut above & have loads a money, unlike me. LOL !
Who could resist the old West Country charm? 😂 😂 😂
Fred West was from Norfolk...Nowhere near us here in the Westcountry...Although the accent is spookily similar
This is actually how current day politics works.
One of my faves this one. Golden. 😂
I love how butchers are portrayed in sketch shows - they're always really friendly but with a secret sinister side 😂
There is actually a lot of truth in this, a way to a man's heart is through his stomach
"Go right nice in ol bake pie" 😂🤣😂
One of Norm's best characters.
OMG the cocaine factory! ROFLOL allo there young anthony!

So ...... where did Hale & Pace go ?
There were dam good & then dam gone ?
This sketch gave me cravings for steak and kidney pie. Good job I'm not a policeman!
I love his face at the very end. So freakish.
I thought it was a documentry on real life situations.
It was.
Hello there young Anthony
Should have said consecutively in last scetch
God they were brilliant .OR IS THAT (WELL BRILLIANT ) THERES NOTHING LIKE THEM NOW .
I'd say Mitchell & Webb followed closely in their footsteps.
Very hood comedy we could do with that now on tv 📺
Yorkshire Airlines - absolutely hilarious 😊
Close to the truth
Mr. Plumberry looks like Pat Mustard from Father Ted!
Missing the moustache though...
half hilary briss, half jim broadbent from hot fuzz
They said you were good!
There’s one thing he hasn’t got though. And what’s that? A GREAT BIG BUSHY BEARD!!! 😃
Proper talent unlike Ant & Dec.
Is that Benny Hill playing Mr Plumberry? 😂
About right, peace
I wish my Judge had been like that, but Oh no 16 months for a first time offence of a minor assault. Bloody justice system.
Should've chucked him a couple of sirloins, worked well for mr plumberry 😂
@@brianclarke61993😂

@@breebw It's not just them, I think pretty much all comedy has been killed by the Wokeists. That's why we are on youtube.
@@andrewclark8630 It has sadly these woke muppets have ruined the lot!! Sad little snow flakes get their panties in a bunch over anything these days!!
