- Former Member of Parliament for Gagaifomauga No. 3, La'aulialemalietoa Leuatea Schmidt, is standing by the issues Fa'atuatua i le Atua Samoa ua Tasi (National Unity in God) Party has laid out as its General Election platform. During an interview with the Samoa Observer, La’auli dismissed Prime Minister Tuilaepa’s claim that F.A.S.T. is merely trying to score political points. This is what La’auli said:

I can understand the "Fa'atuatua i Le Atua" part but I'm confused with the "Samoa Ua Tasi" bit.
Last time I checked our brothers and sisters in American Samoa have a different flag. Even here in Independent Samoa we are not One. It's proven by our different religions, different political parties, and some village have different interpretations of our legends and folklore.
Am I missing something?

Every time I watch this guy with those flags, I am confused as to what he represent and what those flags represent. I think if you are running for pubic office, you owe it to your potential constituents to explain. I am puzzled by the blue flag. If this blue flag represent FAST, please acknowledge....

@@noxseualugalavea2562 Samoa went through colonial time struggling through numerous world powers to gain independence to have another country's flag flying. If you dont see the significant of the struggle Samoa who died fighting for that independence, you dont deserve to represent Samoa in any capacity. HRPP probably watching these live feeds and laughing at how ridiculous it looks. 2 Samoan flag or a Samoa and a party (FAST) flag would suffice. Not another country's flag.
