I take the rail or the subway everyday. I believe people take the art of it for granted. Such precision and details, the tracks and the trains rolling on them. Art in motion, since I was a little lad I was and still am fascinated. I love airplanes too, by the way. ☺
25:12 M7 echo! Excellent video! One of your best. Added to my LIRR railfan playlist. Like your evening videos, this morning video has excellent footage of some beautiful sky colors. If and when you can, you should definitely do more of these morning videos on the mainline. On a side note, you're a big inspiration. I hope to have as much of an exciting life after I retire. Would love to travel more around the country and see different railroads.
I turned on this video and was really hoping to see the one electric train that ran from East Williston on the oyster bay branch…then I looked at the schedule and saw that the LIRR doesn’t run that train anymore. Sad times. Great catches as always though.
I heard they build a new switch between Floral Park and New Hyde Park recently. What is that about? What you also think of the Third Track of the Main Line? From what it looks like, it allows express trains to go top speed during the rush hour without any problems.
RRHG: This is Retired Railfan Mineola Frankie: Are you aware that all M1 (when in service), M3, M7 & M9 trainsets have even numbers when Eastbound and odd numbers when Westbound? No exceptions! Next time you're observing the LIRR electric territory, pay close attention to LIRR's best kept secret.
Great video and excellent narration. It’s cool to see morning rush content, as the operations can be a little different and it’s nowhere near as documented as the PM rush is.
Jessica Raiche?? When I think of people who fly out of that area, Charles Lindbergh is the first person that comes to mind so I would’ve thought that’s who the statue was for. It was a very logical assumption
So I know you corrected the info about the statue (except it's Bessica or "Bessie) but Lindbergh flew out of Roosevelt Field, not Mitchell. Mitchell Field was an army airfield and Roosevelt was civilian. And no love for Roxey the LIRR dog???
7 or more requires 2. The main reason for 2 engines with a shorter train is so that the train doesn’t gap the third rail in Penn Station. at least one engine is on the third rail.
@@3985uprr Isn't it also done for performance reasons? I know the dual modes are severely limited on power when running on 3rd rail, and if I remember correctly they switch modes before going into the East River tunnels, unlike Amtrak Empire corridor which start the diesel as soon as they're out of Penn.
I love that you give the oriigens and end of run stations of the trains. And I always appreciate the VERY steady camera worl.

I was on that first Port Jeff train, had I know you were there I would have smiled.😊 I really enjoy your videos.
Early
Thanks, Tim, for getting up so early for us! So grateful for your videos, as always.
A train lovers paradise!! Awesome! Thanks Tim.👍👍👌👌

I did a pm rush at Westbury that evening with an M7 echo. I do want to do a morning vid at Carle Place as it gets light
9/5… my birthday, 5:16 thanks brother… I don’t know why… but I love when you say “ Wa-wa”… makes my day… Thank you sir

Nice! I love the fall too.

More flexibility
It's so weird to see mineola station without nassau tower
It collapsed back in 2021 or 2022
it was demolished to make way for the third track through miniola.@@Canman180

I’ve been aware of that for almost 70 years

Not one M3 in the mix😔
I think the M3s are going to be running mostly on the Atlantic Branch as Atlantic Shuttle trains in Brooklyn, because I see a lot of them there.
I used to get into Mineola every morning at 7:34 the past four years
You should double check the information you gave on the Statue in the station. great video :)

@@3985uprr Slight correction. Lindbergh flew to Paris out of Roosevelt Field.
@@3985uprr one minor correction: Lindbergh flew to Paris from Roosevelt Field.
I like the third track, but man I miss the horns...
I wonder if I'll ever be able to see out the M7 windows again.
Sit on the north side
Train 2017 I think is a nonstop from Hicksville to Grand Central(from Ronkonkoma)
Indeed it is.
I’ll be in Philadelphia today to see the SS United States before it gets shipped off.
U probably saw some of my friends trains to chaminade from port jeff

Roosevelt Field. Mitchell Field. Close enough
Been a while since you've railfan Mineola.
Great video man
🔥🔥🔥
Still confounds me that LIRR needs to use 2 diesel locomotives for a six car train.

@@3985uprr thanks makes sense just seems a bit odd. Metro North Doesn’t seem to have that problem.

Maybe that guy walking on the tracks was an MTA Worker heading to work.
I don’t think so
Unfortunately one time a friend of an ex friend got down on the tracks for my ex friend to take a picture of. He looked ridiculous!
