The Legend with the LG24 coil and version 1.10 doesn't miss a beat ! It disects the ground and leaves nothing behind ! The reason the machine performs so well is because it runs so stable and quiet allowing the user to be able to focus on the good solid or faint tones !! No static or emi or falses its a wonderful machine and I'm very impressed I also have Minelabs and for me the Legend is proving to be a much more pleasurable experience
Enjoyed your video - I have a Gold Bug 2 and I just ordered the Nokta Pro Pack based on a number of reviews and actual field use videos. One thing I noticed is how you repack the holes you dig. That actually impressed me. I enjoy the flow and tone of your videos.
Spring hunts are always better. Moist soil brings targets out. 1.11 has an audio gain feature as well, which you can increase to make those deep targets louder so you don't walk over them. It will also make shallow targets scream so use it wisely. :)
I just got my legend and in the first 2 outings I got 4 Indian heads in less then a hour in my field s I no I would of never got them that fast I was in pitch tone I am also running 1.11 the legend is incredible
I finally got to try the legend about two weeks ago at a site dad and I have pounded for 25 + years. First signal was a Block A confederate artillery button. Second signal was a breastplate over a foot deep. Proceeded to dig several coins including a two cent piece and a large cent, and ended the day with a pre-Civil war Virginia militia button. To say I was shocked was an understatement. Sadly I forgot the damn charger and I hunted the rest of the trip wishing I was using the legend… it’s a beast
Thank you for doing videos like this. I have a deus2, and my girlfriend has shown interest, so I just got a new legend today. Ran out of markers with the legend this evening after work to compare with the deus2 tomorrow. About 1 hour on the legend, and I'm definitely intrigued!
Hard question to answer, if an update is good. Sure there are improvements, however you still have to walk over the targets. I had to take a step back on the XPD2 after I realized I was not using it to its full potential. After a year! Thx to hunters like you and others, I’m back on the right track. It’s like I just got a update from XP now. Nice vid Scott.
Great video. I own the legend also and I would recommend that you use frequency M3 for this new version. It’s specifically designed for unmasking and works really well.
M3 multi frequency in PARK mode has been updated to prevent coins from being masked by aluminum foil per update, not sure how the wet and humid plays into that now as that what it was originally for. I'll do testing and see if it helps or the same but your not wrong.
I have to say my hunt in the same park with other detectors netted me 30 nickels, 14 dimes, 12 quarters and I only did 2 of the areas that I know where people gather, gonna go back soon and get more finds.
Mental I been using your coin setup that you posted sometime ago, I went back to a place that I hunted with my nox 600, whites vx3 and I was amazed at how with the legend I could hear the coin as well as the trash in the same hole .😮 ty
I'm still using version 1.09 and thought I'd try using your coin program. Ended up going to a small local park I've hit multiple times over the last 30 years, as has every person that's bought a metal detector in our town.. Was there for maybe 45 minutes and WOW !!! I pulled a 65 Quarter out as well as 4 pennies and a dime, but what really shocked me was that I found 5 Nickles dating from 1962-1963, which tells me they have been there for a longgggg time and I seldom ever have found Nickles at this location. I was using the Stock coil and the park is extremely trashy. I will be going back next time with my 6 inch LG15 coil as it should help seperate the coins from the trash. Obtw...I don't think you mentioned any number you use for the Stabilty setting after setting the iron filter, but I tried it on 5 and it seems to be working great.. I'm still in shock that I was able to pull anything out at this well hunted park. Only one pull tab fooled me. Thanks for sharing this video! I can't wait to go there again! 😎👍👍👍
@@MentalMetal It's without a doubt the best coin program I've ever tried. After this previous comment, I went to 2 small parks this past weekend that have been hit so hard by others as well as myself, but everyone, again including myself always end up giving up due to all the trash targets you hear. But this was a totally different experience. And I seldom ever find Nickles, but this program hit 27 of them and one was a 1937 Buffalo. 16 dimes including the 1962 silver one, 12 Quarters, 42 pennies of which 6 were wheats and 2 of them both were 1919's. Most coins were from the 60's and early 70's. And I only dug 2 pull tabs and I pretty much guessed they were not Nickles ringing at 27 as all of the Nickles were always a solid 25, but I thought I'd try digging them anyway. So I cannot complain about that! I can't say Thank You enough times for taking the time to make that video and for sharing it ! 😎👍👍👍 ( Used the LG15, six inch coil this time as well as still being on version 1.09 )
Hi there I put in your coin shooter settings it's amazing like a whole new world opened there was coins everywhere where I was sure I had already detected tomorrow I am going to try it with the LG 24 coil and I am running the 1.11 it's crazy tomorrow an old curbside strips

Hey there my friend. Nice to hear from you and it was good seeing you as well. Yes a new machine could light the engine so to speak. There are some good ones out there for you to pick from. Get back in the saddle my friend and start enjoying retirement.
Oh Brother, don't tell me I have to get a Legend (again), sold mine last year. But missed coins up here mean, Reales, half dimes, trimes, etc. Hard to miss a large cent with almost any machine. Do you know how the Legend update does in heavy iron like cellar holes? Thanks man, great vid as usual.
Hey MM, did you notice any loss of depth with the update? Sometimes they get complaints about falsing and will dumb the detector down to quiet it out and reduce complaints? I need to update mine and get back out to relic hunt, thanks
Maybe a little but I'm still hitting my 10" dime in my 2 year old test garden. I never liked the Legend much until after 1.11. It became an entirely different machine and for the better IMO. Its a pleasure to use.

Nice video mate I do like watching your informative videos from across the pond. Have a question for you. Do you struggle with depth on the new update from 1.09 to 1.11. My friend has a Deus 2 and she’s pulling hammered coins out at 5-6 inches down but when I air test her coins with the legend it hardly picks them up from 4-5 inches away. So I’m guessing there is a depth problem. When running in 1.09 I was pulling out Roman Siliquas from 8-9 inches plus. Any advice would be great. Keep up the great work buddy 👌🏻👍🏻
Nokta Macro are high fiven after watching your video, very good hunt! Would have loved to see a hunting buddy double check all those signals with the Manticore. Great hunt.
Hi i just got the new gen legend. I noticed right out of the box that multi freq 1 2 3. Iin 60 tones sounds distorted slightly it's not a perfectly clear to like the nox has especially in mid conductor range unclean sound. is this why you choose 6 tones? I noticed its cleaner than 60 also sigle freq sounds cleaner too
Believe me Chuck, I have been over this small section with every detector I own (numerous times). I didn't not hear signals that clear to me with the others.
Maybe you can answer this, why doesnt the manual gave a table showing common VDI numbers? My last machines i biught were the racer 2 and fors relic. Both had examples. But i cant find any tabkes and i see others are doing the work and selling the info. Just find it odd. There is some variation with geound condition and position of target but this is the forst time i havent seen any tabkes in the manual showing roundabout numbers for the VDI. Just curious

Legend is a great machine! Use both the Deus II and Legend and they are both excellent. Have the Manticore as well but it’s on the sidelines until Minelab comes out with an update. Machine annoys the hell out of me…
I'm trying to figure out which detector I want to get next. I'm coming from an AT Pro so which one do you prefer? The XPD2, Manticore or the Legend? I realize that the legend is about 1/2 the price as the other 2 but are the others twice as good? Help a guy out please 😂
From what ive seen , and spoke with an experienced detectorist using a manticore .. its very chirpy with information overload. The screen is a bit gimmicky. Id rather get a legend or nox 900.

why go thru the effort of adjusting the tones if u can just look at the number on screen?
Because I want the different tone breaks to ring louder or lower to grab my attention vs look at the screen all the time looking for numbers.
