Princess Peach has been the leading female in the Super Mario franchise for multiple decades now. While she may be the star, there is a large legion of fans who love Princess Daisy even more. Many people may see them as similar characters, but there are plenty of things that make Daisy even better.
Princess Daisy has a true connection with mother nature and the ability to use all kinds of flower powers, especially when playing sports. Princess Peach is constantly getting kidnapped while Daisy has the ability to evade this. Daisy is great in many different sport games, but she excels like no other in soccer. Despite being the star, Princess Peach was pushed aside as Daisy was chosen for the starring role in the Super Mario Bros. movie. Peach sticks close to her inner circle while Daisy as proven she can branch out and befriend several other characters in the franchise. Peach has been tormented by Bowser for years, but Daisy stood up to him and proved she couldn’t be taken advantage of. Daisy has also learned from her mistakes in both life and the relationship department. This has led her to a long term relationship with Luigi. Daisy may also be hiding a secret no one is aware of: her hidden third eye. Daisy stays strong under pressure while Peach has been known to cry...a lot. Daisy should actually get a game because she is actually badass unlike Peach who gets kidnapped by Bowser ever game. There's even an instance where Peach fought against Bowser and she saved the Mario Bros. Daisy is way better by far.

Come to think of it, this reminds us of Princess Peach being Ariana Grande and Princess Daisy being Jennette McCurdy because of how in 2013 (and even after when Ariana was the one that got famous and Jennette had to fight for her rights just to show people that she was human), Ariana was being continuously offered the glamour despite being more of a stereotype of women (despite her controversies (the donut incident in 2015 and when she decided to tan her skin thinking it was black when it’s just “black fishing” like a Kardashian) and which is reminiscent of TheGamer’s accurate points they made about her being a spoiled brat who cries and refuses to rescue herself who would call her father or father figure (Toadsworth) “Daddykins” like she’s Kootie Pie Koopa in The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3) and Jennette McCurdy was constantly being treated like the worst Nickelodeon star since Alexa Nikolas (more like the ones that deserved better the same way when everyone hated on them in favour of Jamie Lynn Spears and even her character in iCarly/Sam & Cat that goes to show how much of a bad man Dan Schneider *REALLY* was) which reminds me of the fact that no matter how many times she decided to stand up for herself and her friends, people wanted nothing to do with her.

@Wow Wow Wubbzy Official canonicity on Mario games does not exist, however, we could make a differentiation between the games released and made by Nintendo, and not third parties (Mario Run was made by Nintendo and not, for example, Ubisoft with Mario + Rabbids).
The fact that is for mobiles doesnt take anything away from it. According to Super Mario Runs website it's "a new kind of Mario game that you can play with one hand", NOTE the " new kind of Mario game" part, putting it in the same category of previous Mario games.

I like Daisy more than Peach. I hate how characters like Daisy and Waluigi are only involved in spin off titles. Daisy is pretty much more capable, and less prone to being kidnapped. Really dig how she's more tomboyish too.

Peach is baker, nurse, magician, athlete of many sports events, chef(We can know this by Game&Watch gallery), and leader of her music band(We can know this by Super Princess Peach). Peach is pretty much more capable than Daisy. I think many people underrates Peach so much by just 'get kidnapping'.

Otherwise, if “Sonic vs. Tails/Knuckles: Friends No More” can exist, so can “Peach vs. Daisy: Friends No More” to make us feel for Daisy because of all the times she was pushed aside just so Peach can get all the spotlight by pretending to be helpless so that their friends can do all the work for her with her higher level of privilege.

Daisy also rules FOUR kingdoms. I know what you're thinking: Isn't Sarasaland one kingdom? Yes and no. Sarasaland is actually divided up into four kingdoms: The desert of Birabuto, the aquatic Muda, the moai-filled Easton, and the pagoda-filled Chai.
Speaking of Sarasaland, they appear to have their own powerups and species which are never seen in other games. The Superball Flower, for one, is a completely different powerup from the Fire Flower, and the combat vehicles known as the Marine Pop and Sky Pop. And then there are Daisy's subjects, who were confirmed to have been brainwashed by Tatanga. For example of how extreme the species in Sarasaland are, the only Koopa species in Sarasaland are Bombshell Koopas, who have bombs for shells.
Daisy's 30th anniversary is coming up in 2019. If she gets her own game, or a least a major role in a main platformer, I wouldn't be surprised if it happened then.

I think they just messed up on her trophy model, and instead of redoing it, they just started from "scratch" on the back of her head and never removed the messed up eye.

I liked Peach better as a kid, but Daisy has kind of grown on me over the past two years. I just love her cheerful attitude, the way she screams in glee is always hilarious and she's truly a strong, independent woman !

I read something that referred to SarasaLand as an Empire and I have taken that into a headcanon. It's just easier to denote Daisy as Princess.
Daisy should have her own game so here's my idea for a game called the hunt for bowser. So bowser was smart enough to kidnap Luigi and Mario with peach. While daisy was going on her visit to see Luigi. She founds out that she is the only one to save the mushroom kingdom. Along with toad she figures out a way to stop bowser.Its not going to be a Mario ripoff game daisy is going to have her own special abilities used in fighting. They will fight goombas and Koopas. It's not going to be easy either there are going to be more worlds and bosses than any Mario game ever had

I agree. Peach actually used to be my favorite Mario character, but my opinion has changed on her since she's pretty much nothing but a damsel in distress. I feel like Nintendo should give Daisy more credit than Peach and Rosalina because (inhales)... From what I know Rosalina has shown up in 4 games at most while Peach can't seem to get a hold of herself. Daisy has changed quite a bit since she was first introduced. But the thing that triggers me MOST is the fact that Daisy WAS ONLY PUT IN LIKE 1 SMASH BROS. GAME AND THAT ROSALINA GETS PUT IN I CALL BS ON THIS FACT!

2. Peach has her own game, has saved the Mario Bros. by herself, and tried to escape Bowser in 3D Land from a whole army of troops. Daisy, on the other hand, gets kidnapped by a tiny alien in a stupid spaceship with no one but him.

Daisy was always my first choice character when I was a kid. I was just more appealed to her character design because Peach's was very basic looking to me.
Glad to see that she's better than Peach for much more than just her looks.
I would prefer Daisy much more over Peach on any day. At least Daisy not only takes great care of her kingdom, but she doesn't get kidnapped constantly. She seems more energetic and passionate, not just a cliché princess like Peach. Daisy is truly and underrated character and I would LOVE to see her in the next Super Smash Bros. roster.

Emily Rivera Compared to the other Nintendo princesses, she really is boring. It's the same story except for the one DS game where she is actually the main character. Daisy is better in my opinion.

So of course Peach is the main reason because she was in more games than Daisy. No hate on Peach but I’ll take Daisy anytime.

*Peach:* Kidnapped God-knows-how-many times, all by the same guy. Cries flash floods for every excuse under the sun. Doesn't even know how to build a decent castle. Possibly actually has Stockholm syndrome for Bowser while leading Mario on.
*Daisy:* Kidnapped ONCE, and only by aliens. Practically never cries even when she loses in sports. Actually has a decent kingdom that she can maintain and is loyal to Luigi. Can and will B-slap Bowser to the stars any time he tries to kidnap her, and he only did it once.

Peach is very dear to me. I don't want to make it too personal but basically I struggle with depression and I always described it as playing a Mario game. It's tough sometimes and it's very frustrating when you get to the castle and only to find Toad. But when I find a treatment that works best for me, it'll be like Mario finally finding Peach. So the damsel in distress troupe isn't always bad. Until then, I'm looking for my "Princess Peach" she'll always be number one for me :)

If Daisy got kidnapped by Bowser, I'd imagine Mario going to save her only to find out that she not only defeated Bowser, but also took over his entire kingdom.
If daisy ever was to get kidnapped in a future Mario game, I imagine it would be her trying to save someone from Bowser and accidently falling into a trap, not willingly going with him like Peach does a lot.
