Concord's design is so lacking that professional character designers have gone as far as creating videos to demonstrate how to improve the designs. This isn't meant to disrespect the original work, but rather to show respect for the gaming community.
@robbuelens bare skin in general in forging is probably gonna end up taking some burns. As far as character design for a game, though, they did an excellent job as she seems like a rather memorable design. You need characters that catch the eye and make a lasting impression. It isn't even a simp thing. All the great games have characters that kinda just on character design alone make the game just a bit more playable and more memorable of a game.
No, blacksmiths usually do wear layers to insulate against the heat. For example, when you take food out of the oven, what do you do? You put on oven mitts. A forge is much hotter, and any kind of spill, or loose debris, is much more severe. In fact, a forge can get so hot that it could burn you just by getting too close to the heat source. So no, a real blacksmith would pretty much be fully covered while they work. That said, I don’t think it really matters for the setting. I don’t think they are interested in portraying accurate metal working with this character. They are not claiming that it is realistic. This kind of character sells, and it’s refreshing that a company is just trying to make the fans happy.

He's got a tight relationship with Konchu and other invertebrates, and *iirc* his fire breath isn't actually fire, but instead materials collected from invertebrates regurgitated back out

In Rise, similar examples are seen. Jaggi and Jaggia, but no G-Jaggi, Velociprey but no V-drome

So far these female characters are actually pretty tame considering the usual types in Japanese-based games. That's probably WHY fans like her. Kulu Yat Ku I think it's called? The giant chicken-like bird thing that grabs objects from the ground and holds them. Whatever it's called, that and Great Jagras are easy fodder for me, but Anjanath overwhelms me every time even when I bring Barrel Bombs (which to my disappointment aren't nearly as helpful as they were in the only other MH game I've played, MH4U.

In almost every game so far, there will always be at least one character people simp for. I remember beating the game and it’s dlc and going to Fiorayne like “I literally slayed hundreds of dangerous monsters and at least two that could destroy an entire ecosystem or continent if they so wanted to and you STILL having nothing to say to me?
