Having so many saves isn't the solution but it's part of the problem.. the more saves you have the more laggy and buggy it gets, especially with heavy saves like those of this series. you need to move all the old saves, backup saves (anything with .ver at the end), videos and screenshots into a different location and delete your Localthumbcache file from your The Sims 4 folder before each play session so you'll have only the most recent save, with a clean cache and so on, this should help.

James just move him to a new save XD before the save ends up corrupt or something toddlers dont need to be taught anything but they do get traits from it when they age into adults for having all skills to 5-10 the only ones that're really useful is potty, communication and movement tbh
You should start working on getting the wife and kids level 10 on most skill. Make an entire super family! Give you stuff to do while you wait for max to complete his work stuff
Do a build where you start with a square room and you build off it. No restrictions but you can’t make the square bigger or smaller the square has to be 10x10
