What a great interview. Fantastic work Stripey. Your a natural interviewer, who knows to let the interviewee speak. Steve seems such a down to earth guy, with a fantastic knowledge of his subject. Great stuff👍🏻👍🏻
Cheers Pal. It was my first time interviewing & Steve made it easy for me with his wealth of knowledge. I'm chuffed you enjoyed it, bud 👍
Great interview, Steve is a passionate guy. I can say that the most beautiful things about Bruce are from the real, honest, genuine Fans.
Thanks 👍🏽 🙏🏽 for all Stripey and shoutout to Steve. Waiting for the next part.
Thanks Stripey and Steve. Great stuff. Looking forward to the next part. I’ve got Legends, Mandarin Superstar, Intercepting Fist and Stuntman’s Tale. Got Dragon on pre-order but missed out on the Big Boss book. Here’s hoping Steve reads this and puts out a soft-back version (hint hint)!
Thanks, mate. Pt 2 interview will be up next Wednesday. A Stuntman’s Tale (as you know) is amazing, Pao, seemed like a real gent. Cheers Pal 👍
Great job with the interview Stripey, Steve seems like a great guy with lots of knowledge on Bruce Lee, looking forward to future interviews. Take care mate
Thank you, mate. Steve is a great guy indeed. Keep an eye out for the postman, bud 😉👍
@@StripeyR Great will do my friend I will let you know when it’s arrived 😎👍
Fantastic! This channel just gets better and better. Thanks stripey can't wait to see the next one👍
Thank you 👍
Great interview! Congratulations nice job! Keep up the good work! Really enjoyed!👍
@CharlesDamianoBLC thank you, mate. I appreciate it 🙏👍
Cool Interview.
Thank you both.
Hi Stripey, hope you are well 😊
That was a great interview!
Steve puts his heart and soul into the books he produces, he is like a detective looking for information and what a sweet way to remember the stuntmen from The Big Boss.
I remember asking Charles Damiano if he knew if Bruce had come to the UK, he didn't know but it's only when I read the Mandarin Superstar that he did indeed come to the UK, though I think it was just for a day, he stayed at a posh hotel in London, the name escapes me ,it's this sort of detail that I love about Steve's books! I am so looking forward to Dragon.
Thank you so much Stripey, you did us Bruce devotees proud😊✌️👍
Thank you. I love all the little details, too. You will love the forward by Linda, I did. Steve's a real nice guy & it was a joy to spend the day with him.
Thanks again 👍
Regarding the posh hotel. I believe Bruce actually visited London more than once. He was also lent Roman Polanski's apartment by Roman and couldn't believe there was a maid there. Its said that Bruce would Jog in Hyde park and it was here he bumped into a englishman called Arthur Stone who jogged along side him. They briefly chatted about martial arts and Bruce gave Stone his business card. In 1974 Arthur Stone was watching Enter the dragon in a London cinema and wondered why the star seemed so familiar to him. He went home looked through his business cards and found Bruce's and the penny dropped. This story was related in an issue of Kung Fu Monthly I believe.
I also believe wu ngan moved to England (his childhood friend .) While bruce was in the states . And he visited him there on a stopover. And he became Bruce's PA/ Butler and Co star in way of the dragon 🐉.
Thank you Stripey and Steve.
@@cheekster777 straight back at ya bud 👍

Maybe I'm too hard cour but I knew everything that was said good interview for the unenlightened 😊
Nice interview !! in the future please make a interview with George Tan and David Tadman Bruce Lee historians!!
Very interesting, Stripey, that hour went by fast! A few minus points to Arrow for not including his documentary! Looking forward to part 2. 👍
Brilliant Stripey! !!❤
Great interview Stripey. I'm glad Steve feels the same way I do about Stirling Silliphant. You've got to wonder without Stirling what kind of career Bruce would have had in Hollywood. Hopefully one day will we get a book about their friendship.
Cheers, mate. I feel the same way too. Stirling was constantly trying to get Bruce into projects. We chat more about this in pt2 (which should air next Wednesday)
Thanks again Pal 👍
@@StripeyRlooking forward to it buddy💪 There is a biography on Stirling available. It’s called ‘Stirling Silliphant: The Fingers of Gods’ I might pick it up a some point when I get through all the other Bruce books I’ve got to read. Hopefully things slow down a little on the Bruce front next year. So I can try and catch up 🤣
Great interview Stripey.. Looking forward for the next ones.. Maybe one day you and Kung Fu genius will get Linda and Shannon on for interview.. Now that would be something.. You can bet they watch your channel..🙏👌
Department S was the late Peter Wyngarde as Jason King. He was also Klytus in Flash Gordon. Keep up the good work Stripey. He would sometimes sign autographs using his initials as a swan. I heard from someone he used to say 'my friend Vivien Leigh used to sign with Swans. So I'll do the same'. 😐
Cheers bud. I appreciate it 👍
How are you doing stripey, this is dave from Edinburgh watching your show good stuff mate ,massive fan of Bruce and I'm 62 this year love this channel my older brothers mate trained with Dan inosanto in edinburgh a few years ago, lucky bugger hope your well mate.
Wonderful stuff fellas. In Perth Western Australia, The Big Boss was released as The Chinese Connection in 1974. Terrif to listen to you two rambling on.
Thank you 👍
Steve honestly comes across as a hard working fan, his books are great.
He's a true gent, fella 👍
Enjoyed this one, the chat was right up my street. Interesting, down to earth and kept me wanting to say, “yeah I remember that” and “oh I didn’t know that!” 😅 so thanks for that. 👍
Nice one, bud. Glad you enjoyed the chat 👍
living the 80's dream with no internet :)
It's driving me nutz, mate. 🤦♂
Awesome interview stripey, thoroughly enjoyed it. Steve's knowledge on bruce , is second to none. Looking forward to part 2 for another Ramble 👌👍
Hey Stripey, good interview. I can't wait for Part 2. Now, I don't know if you read Showdown in Oakland by Rick Wing but it would be great if you do a review of it.
Good interview stripes 👍can't wait for the next one .top job fella 👍.
Thank you 👍
Kerridge's books a top-tier. Full of info and pictures, as it should. Thanks for this.
Great Episode, Great Interview. Steve Kerridge is Awesome and he has in my opinion the best books out on Bruce Lee. My only complaint is that he only makes a small amount to sell and by the time you try to get one it's sold out. He is also friends with people I know, Hector Martinez, Sifu Alex Richter. Cant wait for the other interviews, thanks for posting this.
Thank you, mate 👍
Always a FANTASTIC VIDDY ! Thank you Stripey 🙏🏽 ☯️
if you were not around for the 70's cinema releases at the cinema ...... you really won't get any of this .
Absolutely brilliant interview. Can't wait for next part.
great interview with steve K .. i heard he has the saw in the head footage in his sock draw !! LOL JK
he's a great guy and he's interviewed some serious people who knew bruce including Wu ngan , betty ting pei , the list goes on and on , the stuntman he interviewed and produced a blu ray set as a tribute was excellently done .
I rate his books and mags as the best worldwide on Bruce Lee.
Grest job as always stripey can't wait for the next interview mate
Take care
Thanks, bud. I appreciate it 👍
if only you knew the half of it ........
Steve should team up with Bey Logan, I know he holds him in high regard. Hopefully we will see this some time soon. Thanks for the video Stripey, confirmed what I always thought about Steve. 😬
Watching from Norway.
Great video Stripey keep up the good work Steve's a true gent always great to chat to him speak soon Steve
Thanks Mark, Steve is a true gent 👍
Great interview, really interesting cant wait for the rest
Circa the 28 min. Mark , re being the “ man with the money” as BL himself termed it. The current day lens distorts the past - not just WB but all the studios were sucking wind. “Love Story” and “The Godfather” saved Paramount. There were years in the ‘70’s that Paramount survived because it had the rerun rights to Star Trek, ironically made possible bc Lucille Ball championed Star Trek to begin with and stood behind the 2 pilots it took to get it made. Current observers with a firmer grip on history, would better understand that film makers are always trying to bet on a sure thing. That’s why anything that succeeds gets remade- because it’s seen as the safer bet. Lucy gambled on “Misssion Impossible” & “Star Trek” they became safe bets and begat decades of sequel films that have been largely very successful. BL was smart and understood exactly where he stood and kept at it regardless and- it worked. The trick is, like water “becomes the cup” you must become the safe bet by the time ETD was made he did exactly that.
First time I met Steve was at a Five Deadly Venoms event in London. Surprised he already knew my name and he signed a copy of his book Legend of the Dragon for me. Next time i saw him was at a Hwang Jang Lee event again in London. Great bloke and great books 👍
He is a nice fella indeed, mate. Thanks 👍
Marvellous :)
@@dominiksporl5229 Thanks 👍
In China, The Green Hornet was known as The Kato Show..
Fascinating discussion. I look forward to the next installment.
Loved this mate, what a top bloke, the time just flew by watching this.
Hope to see more of Steve and yourself having more conversations.
Have a good'un
Thanks, pal. I appreciate it 👍
Jason King was the most stylish man on British TV back in the early 70s , bit of a booze bag mind you 😊
hi will steve release this book in soft copy thanks for this video
Will there be a director's cut interview in 4K.
Good interview, not very in-depth but interesting
It was my first interview, fella. 🤷
You made a great start, I'm sure there will be more and better ones, this one was good but oh well, you don't ask a friend uncomfortable questions.
How in depth do you want it. Please be patient there's a lot more to come 🙏
@@Craigolcfc I don't see it as a negative criticism, it seems like you are used to being told that everything is wonderful, fantastic and very beautiful, anything that deviates from that is a criticism.
@@Craigolcfc The interview is very good and I liked it and naturally there is still a lot to see, It's good to interview people who have done so much for the world of Bruce Lee, you get to know their human side.
This is awesome 💪 💧
Cheers pal 👍
Very nice, Stripey! Mr. Kerridge is an interesting guy to me, someone who took passions similar to my own (martial arts, Bruce Lee, martial arts movies) & ran with them like most of us never do! As a young man I never would have believed I could support myself like he has, teaching martial arts & writing books about Bruce, particularly in a foreign country (is Steve the Steven Seagal of Muay Thai? The first Westerner to teach Muay Thai at his own school in Thailand?), must've taken some serious commitment, determination, & self-belief to pull that off! Anyway, I've enjoyed his previous books & look forward to eventually getting this next one (the cheaper, paperback version, anyway).
Great interview
Thank you 👍
Niceone mate car nt wait for rest cheers
Thank you, mate 👍
notice the dig at Ricky Baker ? .... SK is not all he seems ........ you had to be around at the time to get it when he and his partner in crime were like the mafia !"!
wouldn't pay this idiot any time mate, his name is Michael Boswell, well known as a douchebag in the BL community
Awesome!!!
If he comes to your studio maybe he can premier his documentary that he was going to give to Arrow.
I thoroughly enjoyed that interview with Steve i can relate to lot things he said concerning the 70s the best era for me about being a Bruce fan his books are definitely a must have ive got a lot of them they are all class .you did a great job with the interview stripey .all the best Pete
Thank you, Pete,
I'm glad you enjoyed it, mate. The 70s were a golden era for cinema (my personal fav)
Steve's a true gent and a wealth of knowledge on Bruce Lee.
Cheers pal 👍
King boxer that was the first King fu film I saw I was 11 how I got in I can't remember.
