Seth gives a really interesting perspective here. Learning that studios rarely let filmmakers use practical effects surprised me more than it should have.
I believe it's because if you're using practical effects, the people setting and rigging everything for them are part of IATSE, which means they cost more and are given more protections. I love how smart corridor is, when they ask about a shot they give multiple options for both the guest to pick from and for the audience to understand what options there are when making that type of shot. Incredibly storytelling!
Seth's involvement made this way more insightful than I would've expected. I think having a director brings a lot of new perspective. This might be one of the best episodes yet.
This ep was so surreal. Seth giving insight into something I had no idea he was so involved in, him dressing like someone's old laid-back uncle, the laugh echoing thru the space. Loved every second of it.

I love how everyone thought that Seth Rogen is just a celebrity who looks high and has contagious laugh when he has more knowledge than hollywood filmmakers nowadays.
It's nice to see Seth Rogen reflect and learn from this type of show. I worked with Seth's show in the past as a VFX Artist and it's incredible hard to work with many other directors that don't know the vocabulary and what VFX requires in general. I respect Seth for being open about it and hope a lot more people learn about VFX thanks to this show! peace!
Having Seth on was such a cool insight into the movie making business. So refreshing to see these breakdowns from a new perspective. Hope to see more directors and producers on the couch!
Saw the extended version when u guys dropped it this AM but I’m going to watch it again because it was SUCH A GOOD EPISODE!! And rather than it just being you guys obviously like, starstruck, you humanized the man and provided ALOT of insight. Crazy good episode guys, killed it!!
I have to say I really liked the green hornet more than a lot of people because I liked how they made it that Kato was the real hero and Seth was the dope. Waltz was great being a villain going through a midlife crisis and that final scene was pretty smart. And it was cool seeing in 3D
Green Hornet and Kato is like if Batman was split into two characters. The detective and the fighter. The issue with the dopey Seth Rogan Green Hornet is that split, that formula got broken. Kato is Batman and Green Hornet is just there.
I've honestly genuinely enjoyed all of Seth Rogen's movies. Watching this and seeing clips from movies I haven't thought about in YEARS, but still have such great memories that resurfaced about watching them at the time. The small escapes and laughter they provided I am forever grateful for
This is really good. Also, it's a good milestone for Corridor Crew that actors are coming forward to take part in their show. Keep it up. P.S. I really want to see Keanu Reaves in Corridor Crew's show and talking about The Matrix: Resurrections
I'm gonna say it, I liked The Green Hornet. It was a really cool idea to take a classic comic book character and instead of going the traditional superhero route, they made it with the idea of "let's do a superhero movie in the style of a Seth Rogen comedy."
When I was younger I used to watch this film basically whenever I got sick and wasn’t at school Somehow it became my comfort movie. I can’t remember anything about it but always had a decent enough time
have they had a foley effect sound artist in? i know that the sound of petting a baby raptor is actualy stroking a pinapple with a rubber glove so there is that
i love this channel because it gives attention to the hard working people who makes those visual effects possible in movies. They dont get enough praise
What a great idea for The Couch! Having visual effects artists makes total sense, but to have a director's point of view gives excellent perspective to both sides of the conversation.
This episode was an absolute treat to watch! Seth had so many great points to make and seemed to have knowledge of the show before hand, the crew as always on top of their game. Love it guys

I always like how humble and down to earth Seth Rogan is. The knowledge he's gained over the years in filmmaking is vast and insightful. It was really cool to see him on the show sharing his experiences with you guys.
I always thought of Seth as a comedian but watching this even through all the silliness and laughter you can tell he is incredibly talented, intelligent and full of insight. What a great show guys.
Seth Rogan has been my by far, favorite actor in movies since i was just a little kid. And it's beyond cool seeing him talk about the CGI and VFX Of alot of classic movies I still keep in my mind rent-free.
Bad VFX you could look at: -The scene at the landfill in The Office S6: E20 "New Leads" -The shot in "Cruella" where Emma Stone is parachuting into a CGI ocean -There are some JANKY CGI effects in the series "Pushing Daisies" Good VFX: -STRANGER THINGS! -"A Quiet Place" and definitely "A Quiet Place 2" -"Kenzo World" (a fragrance ad by Spike Jonze) particularly the shot where the camera is moving through a staircase of mirrors and there is not a single camera reflection -Several shots in the 2020 "The Invisible Man" -The animal in "Okja" Also you mentioned making R-rated movies into G-rated ones. You should try Snowpiercer, Kill Bill, or Joker.
I love pushing Daisies. That show doesn't get mentioned enough. And yes it has how jank CGI. Sometimes it works for its surreal aesthetic though, specially with backgrounds.

Words can't describe how happy I'm with this episode. Seth, if you're aware of the comment section, pretty please come back for more episodes every once in a while. What a bonkers treat ❤️🔥
i skipped green hornet bc everyone said it sucked but now i want to watch it
I personally liked it
its a fun movie. Especially kaito's scenes.
It... Yeah, it sucked. It really is worth the watch tho, I really enjoyed it myself. Kinda wish there was a second one.
It's really fun and entertaining to watch if you don't look too deep into it I enjoyed it
Wouldn’t call it high art but I enjoyed it.
The fact that freaking Seth Rogan is a fan of this show just makes me like him so much more
Please do another episode with seth, i live him and the dynamic between you
BRING HIM BACK!!
This was so unexpected. I’m so glad this exists, Seth is incredible. Bring him back. Have him bring people with him. I’m so down for more.
i thought it was deep fake for a while
If they bring him back the gotta replace the laugh in post, that thing was ear-breaking.
I love how smart corridor is, when they ask about a shot they give multiple options for both the guest to pick from and for the audience to understand what options there are when making that type of shot. Incredibly storytelling!
I forget that his laugh isn’t just a meme until he laughed on this episode
He has the most consistent laugh I have ever heard
Corridor: We are done trying to make a movie in Hollywood.
Also Corridor: Gets a bunch of connections in Hollywood, just in case.
Seth's involvement made this way more insightful than I would've expected. I think having a director brings a lot of new perspective. This might be one of the best episodes yet.
Honestly Seth being there as a fan and not to plug anything is really incredible in my opinion. Mad respect to the dude 👌👌
@Sasha Bella Bot: says this
Me: BEGONE BOT
Can't believe you were able to get Donkey Kong on your show
This ep was so surreal. Seth giving insight into something I had no idea he was so involved in, him dressing like someone's old laid-back uncle, the laugh echoing thru the space. Loved every second of it.
I freaking love that Seth is here and such a proponent of his industry.
Corridor digitals moving up. Hopefully, there are more celebrity guests.
🤞Jackie Chan 🤞
Iam waiting for tom cruise
They should ask Seth to share some contacts! It will be great to see more actors/directors to came and share their experiences!
It’s certainly looking more hopeful now!
yea i like this
I really like celeb whose down to collab without promoting anything.
That's actually quite wholesome to hear Seth reaching out to you to be on a show where he learned to better improve his communications to VFX artists.
Just dont talk to him on twitter.
@@Mondoness Twitter is garbage for proper communication anyway, I wouldn't put much stock in how people act on there.
Won't lie. Never been a fan of his comedy style, but this has made me like and respect him a whole lot more. I can actually tell he has watched and learned a lot from watching these videos

Now I’m just picturing Seth yelling at his VFX artists:
“THE PORES DON’T STRETCH!”
“YOUR SUBSURFACE SCATTERING SUCKS!”
"EUECH LOOK AT THAT NECK"
Underrated comment right here....
"It's a Lava Monster, Seth is does not HAVE pores" :P

Shoutout to the editor who put echo on his his laugh.
I love how everyone thought that Seth Rogen is just a celebrity who looks high and has contagious laugh when he has more knowledge than hollywood filmmakers nowadays.
I just want to know if they blazed afterward.

Thats was fun. So much more then just fun, great episode!
THAN!!!!!!!!!
It's nice to see Seth Rogen reflect and learn from this type of show. I worked with Seth's show in the past as a VFX Artist and it's incredible hard to work with many other directors that don't know the vocabulary and what VFX requires in general. I respect Seth for being open about it and hope a lot more people learn about VFX thanks to this show! peace!
Holy shit I cannot believe you guys actually had Seth Rogen on the show, you’re absolutely crushing it!
It’s been a honor having watched you guys since before your IRL Minecraft days. Congrats on having Seth on the show, this video was amazing!
old corridor would have been so proud of new corridor
@@n8glo for sure

Bro thats some proud to have.
Having Seth on was such a cool insight into the movie making business. So refreshing to see these breakdowns from a new perspective. Hope to see more directors and producers on the couch!
Channing Tatum is such a good sport for doing that entire scene. I always thought it was him, but it's so great to get confirmation. What a legend.
I did not anticipate Seth’s love of all aspects of Film Making and wealth of experiences to share! Such a wonderful episode!
I love that they're like "so hey, what should we shill for you?" and he's just "nah, tell them to watch Paul Verhoeven movies".
Come quietly or there will be...trouble
I’ve seen this is the end countless times since it’s been out and that Channing Tatum bit is still one of the best bits
Fav. Hollywood movie as a child.
Kato was always the hero. Outside of America, the original show was called The Kato Show.
@@GokuXiao that wasn't the intent, its just what happens when Bruce Lee is not your lead.
It could've been amazing and I don't know what it is about it, it just falls a little short.
Green Hornet and Kato is like if Batman was split into two characters. The detective and the fighter. The issue with the dopey Seth Rogan Green Hornet is that split, that formula got broken. Kato is Batman and Green Hornet is just there.
I really appreciated the editor’s touch of putting the reverb on Seth’s laugh at the end of the cold open intro 🤣
Chef’s kiss
One of the most chill actor and filmmaker out there.
He with James or Jonah or all three makes a movie an epic watch.
I've honestly genuinely enjoyed all of Seth Rogen's movies. Watching this and seeing clips from movies I haven't thought about in YEARS, but still have such great memories that resurfaced about watching them at the time. The small escapes and laughter they provided I am forever grateful for
So you have no taste, ok.
@@off_Planet lmao one man's trash is another man's treasure
I can't belive you got seth on this!!! :0
Seth got himself on this haha
This is really good.
Also, it's a good milestone for Corridor Crew that actors are coming forward to take part in their show.
Keep it up.
P.S.
I really want to see Keanu Reaves in Corridor Crew's show and talking about The Matrix: Resurrections
You should up the comment section
Aw man I’d love for you guys to bring Seth on more in the future. Best episode yet for me :)
Holy shit, seeing you guys grow over the past 10 or so years and even more so within just the last year has been absolutely amazing to watch.
I'm gonna say it, I liked The Green Hornet. It was a really cool idea to take a classic comic book character and instead of going the traditional superhero route, they made it with the idea of "let's do a superhero movie in the style of a Seth Rogen comedy."
When I was younger I used to watch this film basically whenever I got sick and wasn’t at school
Somehow it became my comfort movie. I can’t remember anything about it but always had a decent enough time
You guys should other non-vfx artists on like this, learning more about the perspective of the director was very interesting!
i want to hear from legendary man-in-a-suit creature performers.
@@JinKee Someone with mocap experience could be quite cool
Like Andy Serkis or Doug Jones, someone who's an icon and movie star but weirdly not a lot of people know what they look like
@@lnordin4854 I believe they’ve had a few people on who were mocapped, cant remember the episodes or names though, they’re fairly older episodes
have they had a foley effect sound artist in? i know that the sound of petting a baby raptor is actualy stroking a pinapple with a rubber glove so there is that
i love this channel because it gives attention to the hard working people who makes those visual effects possible in movies. They dont get enough praise
What a great idea for The Couch! Having visual effects artists makes total sense, but to have a director's point of view gives excellent perspective to both sides of the conversation.
*"YOU GOT SOME* fun facts *READY TO ROLL* out?"
"Always"
That's what Mr. Rogan heard.
Wren: ...Purple haze--
Seth: _(listening intently)_
I got caught thinking "this man really asking if Seth Rogan is ready to roll?"
This episode was an absolute treat to watch! Seth had so many great points to make and seemed to have knowledge of the show before hand, the crew as always on top of their game. Love it guys
They say at the start of the episode that Seth Rogen was a fan of theirs and reached out the corridor to be on the show. Of course he has knowledge, he watches the channel!

Have you not seen "Preacher"? Seth is a legitimately good director and writer. He knows his shit.
he's a bug man
@@churblefurbles Too true, funny he even let them talk since they are not bugmen too. After the Count Dankula thing haha
Seth Rogan has been my by far, favorite actor in movies since i was just a little kid. And it's beyond cool seeing him talk about the CGI and VFX Of alot of classic movies I still keep in my mind rent-free.
Bad VFX you could look at:
-The scene at the landfill in The Office S6: E20 "New Leads"
-The shot in "Cruella" where Emma Stone is parachuting into a CGI ocean
-There are some JANKY CGI effects in the series "Pushing Daisies"
Good VFX:
-STRANGER THINGS!
-"A Quiet Place" and definitely "A Quiet Place 2"
-"Kenzo World" (a fragrance ad by Spike Jonze) particularly the shot where the camera is moving through a staircase of mirrors and there is not a single camera reflection
-Several shots in the 2020 "The Invisible Man"
-The animal in "Okja"
Also you mentioned making R-rated movies into G-rated ones. You should try Snowpiercer, Kill Bill, or Joker.
don’t forget the boat exploding in the recent season of OBX in the bad vfx category
dont forgot the flash s7 for bad vfx
I love pushing Daisies. That show doesn't get mentioned enough. And yes it has how jank CGI. Sometimes it works for its surreal aesthetic though, specially with backgrounds.
Judging by Seth's laugh I reckon his archenemy is Jimmy Carr, if you left them in the same room laughing at each other, no sound would be produced
OMG yes!!! Its like the brown note! A sound so unique so powerful it makes you poo! lol
@@langleymneely Lol.. you know how musicians count in for songs that have the brown note in them?..... A one a poo, a one, poo, three four.... sorry, shit joke I know
SETH’s laughter is a character itself, it’s awesome :D!
the relationship VFX supervisors now have with directors reminds me of the DP/director workflow before digital cameras
Best episode yet! Need more guests that are so into all aspects of their craft. Not that others haven’t been. I’m not a big fan of Seth’s sense of humor on screen, but he obviously genuinely loves what he does, and that’s awesome.
