This is the best version of the show. PLEASE make more videos with this group
Jordan is awesome too
the shot you guys used from the first Bourne movie of him disappearing behind the little blue truck. If you slow it down you can see him running behind it all hunched over lol. I laugh every time, but I love that movie.
in the first one, the facade of the building is mirrored left/right, look at the power cables going into the wall. (they change side from how they shot it, to how it was in the film)
Damn ... All this time we've been shittin on the old Mario movie and turns out it is a very important milestone for the VFX industry! Mind blown!
Also Nikos laugh is just so freakin awesome! Can someone make a comp of that??!
I remember being 5 years old being so excited to see the Mario Brothers movie back in the 90's. It was that and Ninja Turtles that were etched into my memory for eternity. God I love that Mario movie lol
why would you love that Mario movie ? it was shit -- it wasn't true to the game at all -- it didn't even resemble the game even a little bit
@@firstname4337 Because. That's why.
who else gets super excited when they see sam on the couch for VFX react
not me, i love clint
which one is he?
@@pass-the-juice the one with the big beard on the left.
@@lamaidalaakapinkcrocodile7527 yeah clint is awesome but i watch his yt channel so im used to seeing him
@@lamaidalaakapinkcrocodile7527 yeah same here. clint can complete anyone in corridor, Clint with wren goat, Clint with sam goat, basically Clint can pair up with anyone and he gonna make it entertaining 😂💯🔥
so glad u guys did the train sequence~ i recommended it the last time, want to secretly hope u guys saw my comment and watched it! thanks for featuring it either way!
I’ve been following the channel since I was a kid. Watching the live action Minecraft and other things your channel put out. Then unread-discovered it when you all posted the very first VFX Artist React. And I’ve been watching all the react videos since. Really is the highlight of my Saturday mornings. I didn’t get to watch it before work today and I was so happy when I got done from closing that I could come home and watch this. All this to say thank you to your whole team and to keep it up❤❤
That commercial is not only cool due to how it was made, but also very neat and wholesome. Thanks, japanese train company?
I can't remember if you have look at it before but "Wandering Earth" has plent of great CGI and VFX shots as well as being a pretty entertaining movie :D
Here some Chinese movies for your VFX reaction:
- The Wandering Earth huge 2019 blockbuster.
- Moon Man , a comedy with a lot of VFX "on the moon"
- Detective Chinatown 3 have some pretty cool scenes to check.
Will give more when I remember 😅
And Wandering Earth 2 of course =)
A former student of mine is one of the actresses for the Japanese train ad! I remember her showing me the video. She was super proud about it! I'll show her this video when I get the chance. I'm sure she'll be ecstatic ❤
That train scene reminded me of Bonobo's No Reason music video. Amazing stuff!
The textures of the characters in the new Super Mario Bros movie are absolutely gorgeous. Should definitely be revisited once you guys see it
My first reaction with that whole opening sequence was "This is Illumination?!"
@@thatfuzzypotato1877 they decided to put the money where it matters this time. worth it because its illuminations biggest hit
I owe all my respects to John leguizamo for his role in 1993.
You are such a great channel, you make my day whenever I watch this. I would love if you could look at the Star Trek movies (old or new), that would be great!
Seeing them talk about the commercial was so amusing to me because while i couldn't quite tell what was cgi, it was also really obvious to me that the actors were all actually there with no compositing, if only due to the fact most of the dads look completely different aside from hair and costume
they killed it on the comercial making all the "dads" to look alike. wow
I honestly thought it was multiple takes of the same actor playing the father and then it turns out it they got a bunch of different guys to all look exactly like the same guy.
@@Vinny792 Find 50 people who have the same physical build and make them look like the same person through make-up and costumes with slight variations in order to make him progressively older was a great challenge.
It's cos they all look alike 😂
There is a crazy effects shot in Wakanda Forever that is super simple, but amazingly executed, when Shuri lifts herself out of the water in the ancestral plane, in a white dress, completely dry. Probably just reversed footage, but really well done.
Japanese commercials will never cease to just blow my mind
I've been so busy and tired for the past 3 months I haven't watched any of your videos, at least now I have a lot to enjoy!
4:05 The best part about the scene with Jason Bourne disappearing is that you can see Matt Damon crouched behind that little car lol. I noticed it the last time while watching the movie and now I can’t unsee it.
Did anyone else notice tha Sam had tears in his eyes around 09:43-09:48?
The fact, that they dind't brought it up, makes me think that Sam got hit real deep and felt or remembered something accoring to that topic he encountered personally.
I think you're reading into it too much he didn't look teary eyed to me
He's a father. Any father is going to watch that and just feel a punch in the gut. It's a beautiful story
It's called not being a sociopath lol
For those of us who are parents, the commercial hit us very hard. Seeing our children born and growing up is the best experience in the world.
On the Bourne ultimatum jump shot, they pulled up the stunt man’s pants with CG 😂
😂😂😂😂😂 you're right!
PLEASE do a vfx review of the Wandering Earth II!!! It's a 2023 Chinese Sci-fi film that basically single-handedly established China's Sci-fi movie industry.
"Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon" still holds up to this day. Visually stunning and aesthetically pleasing to see at the very least
“I woulda liked to see that shot a little longer” is a great description of the Bourne movies
For a 100th episode it has to be something special, and I have just the choice
Birdemic
I really like VFX artist react series
It’d be hilarious if they made Super Mario World into the version from the 1993 film for Halloween one year.
i'd actually give nintendo money if they did that. but we all know they wanna forget that movie, sadly.
Hey @corridorcrew! There’s a scene in the movie JUMPER (2008?) where Hayden is eating a sub on the sphinx. I’m a VFX artist and to go from that telephoto lens helicopter shot to a wide with that flawless of a motion track has me stumped.
There are also cool jump effects throughout like the dimensional fabric veins.
Honestly such a cool concept of a movie
This episode just blew my mind man!! The content you guys viewed in this one was DUUUUUUUUUUUUDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In the entire opening scene of Red Notice, any shot containing The Rock is comp'd in. He didn't want to be near any BG during the big cough, that he filmed his scenes separately
What a stupid and offensive name for a plague which killed hundreds of thousands of people.
Got to do something special for the 100th episode. I'd say you should bring someone in for it, a special guest, if at all possible. Hope you guys continue to grow, cheers!
I’d love to see Jackie Chan for the 100th episode!
I think The Wandering Earth 1 and 2 are pretty good choices for VFX analysis. Probably some of the best VFX in Chinese cinema ever.
Hugely popular over there specifically for the VFX.
I just made a comment on these movies. Def recommend looking at these.
3:44 Nobody mentioned the CG removal of the blue green boxers? 😂😂😂
The train ad shot reminded me of the music video for Bonobo - No Reason (feat. Nick Murphy)
Let’s-A-Go!
12:00 could you do this commercial with white actors and actresses and achieve the same result? at the risk of being called racist, is this not only an effect of good costuming and makeup, but also aided by the, well... that Asian/Japanese people look more similar to each other than white people? I am white myself, so am I way off here? Am I touching on something with any truth to it or am I way off track? Would love to see replies.
People can tell their ethnicity apart better, so the European version wouldn't work in Europe, but it would work in Japan, as long as they had the same hair colour and style!
first
Yep, you're the first

I love that Wren says "a HUNDRED people" write as there's a piece of text on screen that says "25 people".
Please check out the wandering earth 2 space elevator scene! It’s really magnificent.
That train advert hit different 🤧😭
