This is like "Animal Farm"🐎🐄🐑🐖 meets "Clockwork Orange" 👁👁 and other Kubric movies ("The Shinnig" - bicykel in the hallway, "Eyes wide Shut" -the crawling ladies.) It is, as far as I remember one take, filmed in a freinds appartment in the same buinding as "Violets Tale" (wich was filmed in the bicykelroom in the basement - the hospital, and in the staircaseroom.) The poor guy tied up is fotographer Joe Flacker, the one who got kidnaped in "Murdere" 😊
Regarding the Lyme stress connection, and you are absolutely right and Ren discusses it around the Money Ties release and in that song some. Knox who became close with Ren over the last couple years also stated that during the whole Kujo buildup Ren's friends had to actively take his phone away to try and reduce his stress. Coupled with Ren's desire to put out as much as he possibly could because he was finally feeling well enough to work consistently. All that stress are factors in his health deterioration. Thats why Ren's fans want to protect him at all costs.
I know you’ve done a few Big Push reactions. Maybe add to The Wheel everything The Big Push and Trick the Fox if not there already. PS-I loved how you used exercising to excess as a way to both punish and validate yourself as a worthy human in your “How Many Push-Ups” video. Great work on that one!
Something that I find fascinating about this video is that the song is a very clever flex. Because of its animal references, though, Ren naturally turned to one of his favorite books, Animal Farm, as the theme for the video. It works beautifully! If you haven't read Animal Farm, you'll miss quite a few of the Easter eggs and the overall story Ren's telling in this one.
I read it in school long ago, I only started noticing the references while I was editing this video! That's sometimes the problem with blind reacting, easy to miss a lot of juice haha
"Ren marking his territory" That is the most succinct description I have heard for this song! Did you notice the George Orwell Animal Farm "rules" on the wall? You are right about chronic illness and stress. The last 2 times in my life I got really stressed, I ended up in hospital for a week each time. Never again, if I can avoid it, I will, if I can't, perhaps Ren's dance lesson advice will come in handy! I heard somewhere (from a Ren live...??) the gorilla was just meant to stand in the spot behind the bannister, but decided to act the part. Everyone was so impressed, they ran with the idea. Yes, there is a BTS
@@wynandfouriemusic It was released fairly recently from memory(?). You pick up the odd thing from the comment sections if you hang around long enough! Not being on social media, I miss a lot.
Continuing to enjoy your reactions to Ren.. so many yet to do, and all are different and amazing! You asked for suggestions for other artists for you to consider, suggest you check out Dirt Miller. He was suggested by Ren quite some time ago; he doesn’t have a ton of videos up, but as a guitarist yourself, you might enjoy his Guitar Symphony, it’s pretty amazing.
This is one of his friend's apartment complex. They had a big party and shot this. This is a one take. Animal Farm meets A Clockwork Orange - Kubrick Style. There are so many Easter Eggs in this. The Dogs Playing Cards was a purposeful recreation. They even got the lamp to match. The animals eating meat - Cannibal Flow. Can't wait to see you do the acoustic version on the bus. Know that with each of the Sick Boi releases there is a Twitch stream on line where Ren breaks down the song and the filming and hidden gems. It's either on Renmakesstuff, Hexenkind1 or Ren not Ren's YT channels. Simply search the song title twitch stream and you should be able to find it. This was a very fun breakdown. ruclips.net/video/icIv5yWp7hE/видео.html
You should listen to Home Free (I recommend Butts Remix or Man of Constant Sorrow) and Pentatonix (might start with Hallelujah or Sound Of Silence). If you don’t know about them, both groups are acapella. Both are awesome and will increase your subs. The Home Fries and Pentaholics are as loyal as the RENagades.
At the beginning, there is a clue written on the wall from Animal Farm. Many references in this one. It was a one take. There is a bts about this shoot somewhere
Hi Wynand! So happy you enjoy Ren's creativity. I loved your reaction to Animal Flow! Ren never ceases to amaze. I just flipped back to the original song and saw that Animal Flow now is only about 12,000 views away from FOUR MILLION... so I watched it again! Hopefully after watching your reaction to it, Renegades will pull up Ren's original Animal Flow on youtube and watch it again. It's so exciting to see this boundlessly creative Genius named Ren receive wider and wider recognition for his astonishing productions. (This one was filmed by long time friend and outstanding cinematographer Luke Flegg, who filmed Bittersweet Symphony, Murderer, and many more of Ren's landmark performances.)
This is loosely based on George Orwell's "Animal Farm". The 7 'commandments' of 'Animalism' are written on the wall, near the beginning of the video. The most famous commandment is "All animals are equal". By the end of the book the pigs (the leaders of Animalism) change it to, "All animals are equal but some animals are more equal than others". The book is a satire on Stalinist Russia.
This is my absolute favorite video by Ren and of course I'm excited for the live version because they're always so different but lovely in their own way 🤘🏽🔥🎶❤️🔥🫶🏽
Ren has live Twitch stream episode available when he released “Animal Flow”. In the episode he watches Knox Hill’s breakdown of “Animal Flow “, talks about his favorite artist and does a live acoustic show at the end. You will love it! I recommend you view it on your own time. Great reaction as usual!
@Seamus.MacLeod Damn 14 hours! Ive been on film sets before where the days are that long and it can be exhausting! Hats off to these guys for pulling this off!
Animal Flow is one of my favourites on Sick Boy- there is just something to that beat that just invades your brain - and I'm an Orwell fan so it sits :-) looking forward to the bus version reaction, it amazes me how Ren takes the same song and makes it feel so different. Take care!
The acoustic version of Animal Flow is much better in that it really highlights Ren's inventive vocals and guitar skills. He keeps switching up the guitar accompaniment, which make it more riveting.
Oh I’ve been dying for this one to come up! Hell yeah!!! I’m pretty sure a one take! He’s pretty solid in his one takes and not doing tricks to make them look like it but actually following thru with them! There is a BTS on his patreon and all his patreon vids make it to ren makes stuff after a few months! Thanks for another great one, Wynand! Can’t wait for acoustic!
Ren stated on an interview that it’s Animal Farm and Lord of the Flies inspired, but there’s bound to be lots of other Easter eggs in there, or it wouldn’t be Ren. The live is amazing, much darker vibe, and there’s a BTS on the RenMakesStuff channel 🙂
Consider reacting to Chris Webby 'A Tale of 2 Kings'. I think there will be many Renegades who love Chris Webby. His videos are very creative. Any support for this? 😊
Loving the Renlette Wheel. Clockwork Orange meets Animal Farm. Some animals are more equal than others. for suggestions of other Artists the obvious link with Ren would be Chinchilla. A newish British singer making waves is Raye.

It's a continuous shot - no cuts - according to Ren in some interview I watched. Many takes to get it right with all the "moving parts." The door or wall stuff you mention isn't to hide cuts. It's done to buy time to get the actors repositioned. As for references, you caught the dogs but there are many more. I'm not the best person to name them all... all I can think of now is _Animal Farm_ , _Clockwork Orange_ , _The Shining_ and _Witches of Eastwick_ . There are more..... EDIT: no BTS for this that I'm aware of. The interview I mention above wasn't on the Makes Stuff channel. It was on some other reactor's channel. Sorry I don't remember who.
You got it backwards. REN learned to produce music because he couldn’t find somebody to do it for his rapping. Looking forward to the acoustic tomorrow! As you might expect it’s a totally different vibe.
