My illness took a turn for the worse, while I was pregnant with my son. Since he's been born I've had to have over 40 surgeries, including two ileostomies, countless ER visits, and hospital stays. I had to stay a whole month (almost didn't make it) away in a hospital over 100 miles away from my kid. After my 7th surgery (3rd major surgery in 6 weeks), I lost my job, my house and our car was totaled. God found me in my darkest hour. My illness hasn't been stopped, but the illness doesn't stop me anymore. You might have to make adjustments of your expectations of life. But if you can get through those times, you will find that you cherish every minute, that much more. You make the most with what you've got and you will find true beauty in that. Life has a way of molding you into who you need to be, not always what you thought you wanted to be.

This is a very well written and produced song, Wynand. Thank you for speaking this for all of us Renegades. Ren, you are LOVED by millions, brother. Your lyrics speak to the common suffering and hope of mankind. You have have impacted my life and the lives of so many in a way that no other artist ever has, because perhaps no other artist has been so brutally honest in expressing their vulnerability and other raw emotions, and very few artists possess the combination of such genius, talent, and skill.that you have. Stay strong Ren. Selfishly, we want more amazing musical art from you, and altruistically, we want you to be healthy and happy.

For some cool subdued tones, consider Db tuning (drop all strings 1/2 step). Kind of like a reverse capo. Lightning Crashes and Sweet Child of Mine are both tuned this way. Love the meta. There was a "Renception" when Knox Hill was reacting to a stream of Ren reacting to Knox's reaction to Animal Flow. Then Disco Doc got involved.

He'll stop in the middle of a song, or try to work out chords he's forgotten. Just not self-conscious about it. Love that free spirit he has.
