What I am really disappointed by is that RRR is not nominated for anything other than song.. Do they NOT see the phenomenal cinematography(use of lighting and motifs) or the immersive score.. I thought that cinema lovers would have salivated at the multiple layers of metaphors and nuances in the movie.

I heard about this film from Patrick H Willems, saw it, loved it, then went looking to see if any other reviewers had seen it. That's how I found Film Threat and Chris Gore. I'm glad there are people out there pushing films like this in front of my face. It may not win an Oscar as the voting system heavily favours the middle of the road movies no one cares about, but it totally should. As long as western audiences keep discovering RRR, it will leave a big legacy in hearts because it's undeniably good. Even friends and family who hate musicals, subtitles, would never watch a non-english film, and don't obsess over films, knew it was something special when I forced them to watch it. Now they tell their friends to watch it. You can't not tell people about it once you've seen it. It is finding it's audience. Keep teeling your friends about this movie until they watch it. The weapons will come themselves in search of their battle.

Hey Man. You have no idea how happy i am to read this wonderful comment. I'm glad the west is finally discovering our beautiful cinema & culture. There are many more hidden gems easily available on RUclips itself because Netflix doesn't really have a great selection of Indian cinema.

    • @TwoWrights
      @TwoWrights Год назад +9

@@dr_sriraviteja In Australia, there are heaps of Indian films on Netflix. Even as a fan of the broad Indian cinema and culture, RRR was unique and joyous in a way that you just don't experience. I love movies because they allow me to discover worlds and ideas that I could have never imagined. As US cinema became a purely money making industry about 2 decades ago, RRR gave me what I've been craving from movies for far too long. RRR is more than Top Gun: Maverick. RRR is more than Avatar 2. I hope the Hollywood studios are realising that this movie, that they aren't a part of, did what they can't do anymore. They inspired audiences. They should be writing SS Rajamouli a blank cheque and beg him to save their industry of mediocre stories, lazy actors, and the Starbuxxing of American film. Because they have certainly forgotten how to do it themselves.

And no one interferes in his script he has that way . He has also said he wants to learn but he wants to say Indian stories !
The efforts he has put to make baahubali series authentic in Hindi version RRR is more special because he asked his lead actors to dub themlseves in Hindi .and other languages thensleves..the translation team dialogues songs the efforts he started to take and he did the efforts when he made eega too , as makhi and it had hindi songs that time also. “RRR” should be a lesson for Hollywood but it unfortunately will not as it/they will continue to produce absolutely the opposite of what audiences (who are smarter than they get credit for) actually want to pay for.
Hollywood’s desire to cater to the least common denominator and it’s aversion to what they see as risk is why people only want access and wont pay to go see their lousy “all boxes checked/paint by numbers” product.

As a fellow Indian, it's great to see RRR succeed. I was familiar with Rajamouli's work with Baahubaali(one of the best duologies every) and also his older work, like Sholay(I also recomemnd that movie) so to see RRR get the attention it is getting is awesome. Because films like RRR are clearly made by someone who has the passion and talent required. Hollywood is so focused on risk adversion and they are so up themselves I doubt they can make a movie like RRR. It's why I hope it does get an Oscar nomination and my hope is that it will somehow kick Hollywood in the rear to get moving. The reality is that Hollywood is in a very dangerous spot now, with the rise of foreign entertainment and video games. And the fact is Zoomers aren't going to the movies as much anymore. It's sink or swim.
And in tough economic times, you really need to work hard and earn people's dollars.

What's so amazing about this film is the epic scale, on so many fronts. So much of this film was shot in real locations, and stunts as real stunts, and sets as real sets. They took 12 days to film the bridge scene because they filmed on an actual bridge, with an actual flag, with fire and a child, with the actual actors, etc etc. It's the same reason that ppl still watch Tom Cruise films - the authenticity of what is on film is roughly what was filmed IRL. The actors kept their physiques on a daily basis for 3 years. Even the epic villainy of the British helps you understand how tortured and helpless Indians felt IRL under colonialism. Hollywood used to make epics like this. But I've never seen Hollywood make historical fan-fiction epic, pairing 2 revolutionaries that never met IRL. The closest would be Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure lol.
Btw it's Rajamouli like spaghetti, you don't have to overemphasize the i at the end.

If we don't mind all the shackles and limitations like political correction, physics limitations and stuff. entertainment can really flower as much as it can. the speciality of this movie is that it consciously and in controlled manner fluctuates in and out of those limited boundaries whch is an art in itself. like fire this movie rose in hearts globally because like water it sinks in the core and bottom of hearts of every individual from every culture who value freedom, independence, friendship, romance, emotion and unity.

question: collision or union, what will the waves bring?
answer: it has brought both collision and union but union surpassed and dominated collision in reality.

I think the real Hero for the movie is the music. While it’s worth something to get golden globe for one song, I think it should win the Oscar for best music. It’s sad the amazing poetic lyrics of the all other songs will go unnoticed at an international level though. If you know Telugu, the lyrics blow your mind.

Some Facts About RRR (I Know You Know)..
    According to indian mythology,
Ram is Like SHRI RAMACHANDRA (LORD RAM)
Sita Is Like MATA SITA (Wife Of SHRI RAMACHANDRA)
And Bheem Is Like SHRI HANUMAN (A Devotee (More Than That) Of SHRI RAMACHANDRA), Here's Why, Because In Mahabharat (An Epic History), BHEEM Is Son Of GOD PAWANA DEV (GOD OF AIR/WIND) AND Also HANUMAN Is Son Of GOD PAWANA DEV (GOD Of AIR/WIND), They Are Half-Brothers..., And Also In The Final Scene Of Jailbreak, BHEEM Carrying RAM, Like SHRI HANUMAN Carrying SHRI RAMACHANDRA....👍😀
Now, I Know The True Meaning Of The Title Of This Movie "RRR" (Rise Roar Revolt)...
The First Segment, "The Story" Is The "Rise" Part Of The Movie...
The Second Segment, Both "Fire" & "Water" Is The "Roar" Part Of The Movie...
The Third Segment, After The Title Card Appears.. Is The "Revolt" Part Starts...
