This sounds too low of an effect from my personal experience in game. I'm at 7/10 capture power in our coop game and I consistently need 10+ spheres for displayed capture rates between 60 and 40%. And it *feels* worse the lower your sphere tier. I.e. trying to capture a very low lvl pal with blue spheres at a chance of ~50% takes way more spheres than using higher tier spheres on higher level pals at similar capture rates. Its really weird.
Yeah it's why I upped the capture rate on my own servers and stopped grabbing more capture rate upgrades
It's just tough as heck because you don't get to see the actual capture rate you have, it just visually shows you the "improvement".
I just had an experience with a mossanda at 7/10 effigy where it broke out at 70% 15 times in a row before capture. Was so bad that it led me to discover this dogshit bug
@@bip2407 Yeah just adjust your capture rate up until the bug is fixed. It won't FULLY fix it, but I recommend 1.5 to 1.6 for the most authentic experience 1.3 is the correct number, but even then it can feel a little buggy tbh.

as of today 2/16 this bug still alive and well.
Noticed.. gonna just up the catch rate for now to simulate proper catch rates. Sigh
I'm pretty sure they fixed it already? We have not had this issue since that date.

I have to agree, after playing through my partners game, he was getting good rates going at like your starter pals (we are farming for traits) hes getting like 100 chance hes like 4/10 on effigy on my game I'm 7/10 effigy and my chance is 40% on a level 1 damaged chicken

I don’t believe it is a BUG.
All capture shows, attempts with 0 damage onto pals that are trying to be captured. Like all games that have us capture anything, we all must DAMAGE at most instances in order to capture .
so any and all indication thus so far about so called effigy glitch that states is a Glitch is untrue.
LARGEST indicator of this is that so many ppl experience no “bug” whatsoever and how random it is to “experience” it is.
As far as I know a lot of folks are indeed experiencing it once they go past 5/10 upgrades for their capture rate. I myself am at 7/10 and can confirm that it is problematic right now.
If you are not experiencing it, then that's really good, but many that I know are definitely having issues
It's not random if you have it. The odds of failing a 42% catch rate on a tombat after 10+ pal balls is astronomically small, let alone the 7 you caught afterwards. It felt like absolute shit to have used over 100 palballs for 8 tombats *with 42% catch rate* for each of them. Thats not bad luck, thats outright incorrect. And now theres an issue of how many balls outright get deflected even with a sliver of health, paralyzed, or even sleeping is.. wild. Something is wrong with that. The issue persisted on xBox as of 3 days ago, but I havent played since.
